  1. Bombers find themselves in a great position heading into the playoffs. Bye week followed by two games followed by a bye week (as long as we clinch). They'll get their rest but not too much rest.
  2. Agreed. Pound for pound we were clearly the better team all game. We still seem to like to give teams points and turn over the ball in the red zone.
  3. Make no mistake - that was a character win by the boys tonight. Never say die. I personally felt like our defense was close at the start of the game. They just weren't finishing on those second downs. My thoughts were vindicated as they started to get home. Collaros continues to absolutely **** the bed when getting into opposing territory. But it seemed like he turned the corner a bit near the end of the game. He is a pocket passer at this point in his career. Sure, you can roll him out on set plays, and he can even run for a few yards. I just don't want to see him reversing field ever again. Made Betts look good by literally running into him. But he still showed great character in never giving up. Brady was obviously amazing. Jamal Parker is becoming a favourite of mine in a short amount of time. My Twitter account gets a shoutout for getting blocked by Ballsy. That's a fairly easy one. But we have to be proud of our victories. That guy really sucks ass.
  4. Seems like the Argos plan to take the fans partially out of the game worked. Sit some guys. Make it seem like it should be easy. Fans didn't seem to want to give it their all. A couple touchdowns to get the lead and it turned into their game. Thank goodness the Bombers never lost their pride
  5. Yep. Lions are less suited for cold weather games than the Bombers. And a passionate IG Field fan base is a huge difference.
  6. Spotting the other team 14 points seems to be his strategy lately
  7. That's where my excitement for Dru Brown eventually taking the reigns lies. He moves around the pocket like a waterbug and can pick up first downs with his feet.
  8. Toronto is the team to beat this year. And again, I really don't see a team that is going to knock them off in the east. Montreal could do something if they had a QB.
  9. It's come down to the last 4 games and 1 pivotal game in BC. In the other 3 games one team (WPG or BC) would have to outpace the other by 2 wins which isn't super likely. It's more likely that the 1 game is going to decide who hosts the western final.
  10. Yeah I think in Sask you are just born a Rider Fan like you are "born Catholic". Thus you get your clothes in green like you would wear a crucifix
  11. Is Jamal Parker really the best we can produce as a kick returner? Night and day difference between the D Line with Jeffcoat and the D Line without Jeffcoat. Collaros with another INT to a linebacker he didn't see. Uh oh. Use Brady Oliveira maybe? Our defense was just the worst. Too many times you'd see 2 DBs in the same area and no one taking the wide open guy. Overall the boys had their heads up their asses today
  12. Yep. He makes so much happen with his legs. If he has any kind of leg ailment that could drastically reduce his success.
  13. Nah. Lead with the helmet and looked clearly to me he knew what he was doing. Classic Awe hit.
  14. I'm triggered
  15. Where was the PI?
  16. Pickett comes in and spears Fajardo in the head while he was defenseless. That's the same horseshit Awe pulls. The only reason he isn't ejected is because they haven't ejected Awe Yeah what he said 😂
  17. Nah he's hella slow. He's doing nothing.
  18. The fact that we've run so many weeks without many on the 1 game would also signify cap savings right? Like if we had to put one of our veterans on 1 game then we are paying someone else full salary to take their spot and still putting that vet's salary on the books. I just think in general because we've been relatively injury free that it has to be good for our salary cap.
  19. I'm hoping we can get to a bit more balanced attack like we did against the Riders. This year we've basically run up the middle or thrown up the middle. With the occasional bootleg and then toss inside. Almost completely stopped running the sweeps that has been very successful for us. Against the Riders we brought back the sweeps, threw to Brady in the flats and threw more toward the sideline. It seemed to allow Collaros to not have to deal with run blitzes all game long. Collaros is a great QB but I don't think we need to put it all in his hands every game.
  20. Another Labour Day Classic, another good Bomber team making it look like they are the bad team. Been there, done that. Riders did enough stupid **** to allow us to get the W. We still didn't. No excuses really. Collaros seems to be a bit off. Underthrew a bunch of deep balls. Overthrew Schoen in the endzone. We need more out of our MOP. Defense was the defense except for a couple plays where we gave them big chunks of yardage by misplaying the ball. Not super smart. Dolegala made some clutch throws. But just like against the Lions they look inches from being picked off. Special teams I think is where we have the most worry. We can't cover kicks for ****. Should we have been looking for some upgrades there rather than relying on some of the old guard? Need some young legs. This lost us the game more than anything
  21. Yet sometimes..
  22. Fwiw we would have to sit Maruo to get Hansen on the field. We are at our global limit of 2 on the roster. Hansen has been much more of an impact player for us in the past. But Maruo is more up to game speed atm.
  23. Not sure about that. But they have definitely been exposed as of late. If you can block up their pass rush, which is pretty one dimensional, you can make some big plays on them.
  24. Bombers suddenly up a couple games on the Lions. Wow
