  1. Housekeeping on the current roster. 2 imports still need to be 1-gamed (I'm assuming Dru Brown is our reserve player) ... I'm guessing this will be at least 1 DB and then one of: Another DB Brian Cole Haba Grant I feel like it's going to be 2 DBs since chances are 2 of them are knicked up anyways.
  2. We dominated last year with this roster. 🤷
  3. I don't think they lost trust in him as a punter. As a kicker, yes. They brought in Castillo. And then these globals were that good.
  4. Sheahan won the job on paper. But it looks like Schmitz is still in the mix
  5. Salima would be the closest thing to a surprise
  6. Very few have the mobility that Piggy has. That's what makes it so exciting. And it still seems to me that he wants to throw the ball too. Will be interesting how he develops. Dru Brown is far from immobile. He had some very good scrambling ability. It's just that the couple times he broke contain he chose to force a throw rather than pick up yardage with his feet, which he very much could have. In a meaningful game he may have. I don't think that was Dru's best game, but some of it was just circumstance. However, I would like to see Dru be a bit more aggressive. He was playing that game without risk.
  7. https://twitter.com/EdTaitWFC/status/1665104913909653506?t=sOJodn_gMuUugDLzElZB7Q&s=19 Tait seems to think otherwise. But I do understand where Bauming is coming from. The team doesn't rush these things.
  8. Piggy can make chicken salad out of chicken ****. Brown not so much. That's not a knock on Brown. He just needs the o-line and the weapons and can do something with it
  9. Because I was not entertained. 3rd q has been fun
  10. Dru Brown has thrown a lot of outs to Agudosi and a lot into the dirt once he breaks contain
  11. I feel like last year they basically shut down traffic toward the stadium after the game so that there'd be more flow out
  12. 3DNs only original content is complaining about the lack of depth chart
  13. Would still like to win this game. A loss to our backups would have some great fallout.
  14. To be fair they've barely been given a chance in a game situation so far.
  15. Good call. I think we're going to be getting to that point where our coaches and management need to make some tough calls on the vets to keep our success going. The right calls. When you have really good players in your lap and you let them go because of loyalty to the current players...it's possible that Staton and the two global punters are better than the incumbants
  16. The only useful tidbit in the last 2 pages of this thread. Thanks!
  17. With Schoen, Lawler and Demski out there... You basically just need the other two receivers to be the best blockers.
  18. LOL I remember that. Good times. Kinda
  19. Some people make that a career
  20. Yeah there are guys who can run and then there's guys who can go the same speed but with shorter steps. Allows to avoid would-be tacklers. Piggy looks like a real problem for defenses especially if he can continue to show that he can pass. Reminded me of that first time we saw Lucky's speed. Where it was just like wtf
  21. Apparently in the post game show O'Shea said they planned the vets getting their time today because of the short turnaround between the last pre season game and the home opener. So expect game 2 to be all roster hopefuls.
  22. Really nice to see Bolo and Murphy have good games. But it's probably not good for any of the American receivers trying to get a roster spot. Overall it kind of sucked that the Elks drained the clock like they did. Because it probably means the 2nd game will be used much more for evaluation of our offensive players than it maybe would have. That said, our veterans don't really need the reps.
