  1. To be fair they've barely been given a chance in a game situation so far.
  2. Good call. I think we're going to be getting to that point where our coaches and management need to make some tough calls on the vets to keep our success going. The right calls. When you have really good players in your lap and you let them go because of loyalty to the current players...it's possible that Staton and the two global punters are better than the incumbants
  3. The only useful tidbit in the last 2 pages of this thread. Thanks!
  4. With Schoen, Lawler and Demski out there... You basically just need the other two receivers to be the best blockers.
  5. LOL I remember that. Good times. Kinda
  6. Some people make that a career
  7. Yeah there are guys who can run and then there's guys who can go the same speed but with shorter steps. Allows to avoid would-be tacklers. Piggy looks like a real problem for defenses especially if he can continue to show that he can pass. Reminded me of that first time we saw Lucky's speed. Where it was just like wtf
  8. Apparently in the post game show O'Shea said they planned the vets getting their time today because of the short turnaround between the last pre season game and the home opener. So expect game 2 to be all roster hopefuls.
  9. Really nice to see Bolo and Murphy have good games. But it's probably not good for any of the American receivers trying to get a roster spot. Overall it kind of sucked that the Elks drained the clock like they did. Because it probably means the 2nd game will be used much more for evaluation of our offensive players than it maybe would have. That said, our veterans don't really need the reps.
  10. This is going to sound weird but Pigrome reminded me of Kevin Glenn when in short yardage situations. They both are 5'10" and around 200 pounds. IIRC Glenn was actually pretty good at short yardage because he ran it so technically well. He could hide himself behind the line and pick his spots. I see the same with Pigrome. But Pigrome can clearly run. Being only 5'10" can allow you to get to the line of scrimmage before someone even sees you. And if there's open field (as we witnessed today) then goodbye.
  11. I would imagine they have someone that isn't this horrible horrible kicker they brought to this game?
  12. I would keep one of these punters around for sure
  13. oh man. Be nice. Our quarterbacking and prospects have come a long way. 😂
  14. I really love this music
  15. Hot damn. 2 perfect throws and then becomes the piggyback and takes it to the house.
  16. Seriously. We get it, This Brooks guy is good. Does he need 3 quarters of getting the ball?
  17. Everything is great. Every player is doing the best they can. No need for anymore posts. Lock the thread.
  18. Hard to watch the defense getting the ball rammed down their throats for 7 minutes
  19. Based on what I've heard about Agudosi's camp so far...I find it hard to believe we will be cutting him. As for BOLO...based on that first half we clearly have a guy with a lot of talent. The ones he didn't catch were largely forced throws. Sure, he could have made better plays on the ball, but I don't hold those against him. I have a feeling BOLO might be our top canadian receiver by years end if given the opportunity. I'm a bit more worried about our defense.
  20. Piggy looking for truffles
  21. Aren't we in agreement? 😅
  22. Pressure has been pretty good all around. Corny has made a few nice plays
  23. Walker has had some nice plays from the end position so far
  24. Lawler just roasts the edmonton defense
