  1. Defense wins championships. On offense you need to be able to make plays when the defense is up to the task. I refuse to believe BCs offense is so otherworldly that no one can cover them.
  2. In the power rankings I'd have them quite low right now. They have not looked good this year. Id also have Edmonton and Sask quite low as well. Sask is in a bit of trouble with their o line. Winnipeg, BC, Calgary, Montreal, Ottawa, Hamilton, Sask, Toronto, Edmonton is how I'd have it right now.
  3. It will be a tumultuous time in the Argo locker room this coming week
  4. Murdering his receivers yeah lol
  5. Man Houston showed up in a big way yesterday. Has great athleticism and fits in with the Dark Side
  6. That's interesting about the record on short weeks. Contributing factor for sure. But losing the way they did...oof.
  7. I have a good feeling about Holm. Not sure why.
  8. Burtenshaw...the last pick in the 2022 CFL draft...gets on the roster. Congrats to him.
  9. There must be something we don't know about this Shai Ross thing. He's legit. We should sign him asap
  10. Apparently Larry Dean was being walked out. Or so I heard 300 times
  11. Horrible challenge from Chris Jones.
  12. Not now. I'm just imagining a time when BA is back. We would then be down to 7 starting Canadians likely
  13. Yeah Masoli seems to really like to play against us for whatever reason. Probably because of how we scheme to get pressure on the QB and have them drive the long field. Masoli is pretty good at evading pressure and moving the pocket. I could see us try to get McCrae in as well. Maybe run some sets with 3 canadian receivers. You'd still have Ellingson out there who is a threat to catch the ball on any play. I think a lot of our offense is going to run through Ellingson this year. Hopefully he can stay healthy.
  14. So how does everyone feel about the team after two games? It's really hard to judge considering we've played the same team twice. We certainly don't look as dominant as last year. But we are still the champs and we still have that belief that we'll win every game. I think that helps us. But to me everything looks a bit out of whack. O-line is not great. Receivers we have Ellingson who is providing a tremendous impact on the game. Schoen has been a great surprise but other than that I'm not blown away. Running backs are not giving us as much as Harris these passed few years. D line certainly looks better with Jeffcoat in there. They should be fine. Especially with Hansen coming back. Sayles looks like he's improved on run D. Linebackers are great. Secondary looks okay. Richie Hall likes to scheme to make teams drive the field. Missing Alexander obviously. Special teams look fine.
  15. Really like the Ellingson Schoen combo. It's only a matter of time before Demski makes an impact too. Not sure how I feel about Bailey right now. Maybe struggling being the boundary WR?
  16. I'd expect an extra American in next week if couture can't go. Maybe even if he can given Gray's struggles
  17. Not a classic tonight. Not sure either team deserved to win.
  18. MBT's strategy seems to be to stand in the pocket until someone is wide open. Gets rocked a tonne.
  19. Toronto looks great! Except at QB
  20. Hope we can show that last week was an aberration and stomp them good.
  21. I forgot for a second that we are running 8 NI. I think that makes sense. Taylor should know how to play safety by now. Houston would have to step up to play his spot. If any injuries pop up then we'd have to go back to Canadian safety but NABD. Do you think Dobson is ready? I think that's the medium term solution. It may not be the short term.
  22. I'm not even sure what you could do. Every position group minus the linebackers were not championship level. (receivers were okay). It was the first game though. Getting Jeffcoat and Alexander back would be huge, but it's hard to say when that'll happen. I think O'Shea is going to go with what he has, make corrections, and go into Ottawa with the same team but getting more out of everyone
  23. Totally agree. It's not like the same thing didn't have not 24 hours ago. And he draws the penalty
  24. Thats the roster breakdown. This part specifically mentions 7 Canadian starters: Of the 24 starters on a team, a minimum of seven starters will be nationals players. When applied to a starting roster of a team it breaks down as follows (when using the minimum number of national players): 1 QB 16 American players 7 starting national players
