  1. Makes sense. I believe we acquired Feltmate to play FB when MCI went down. Then he got hurt. MCI is now back and rightfully takes his spot back. It comes at the expense of Schmekel because we have the extra depth coming on with Adams (for Bighill) and Lucky OG We already had a tonne of LB depth so Karamoko is no big loss.
  2. BTW this isn't making excuses for Rourke. More that it explains why he was so good in 2022.
  3. I thought Demski came back in before the end of the game.
  4. Very different set of weapons Rourke has. When he was at the helm he relied on Dominique "push off" Rhymes and James Butler a lot. Also had Hatcher, Hollins, Whitehead, Cottoy. Stanback is no Butler as far as being an emergency outlet. And he can't get away with just throwing the ball up and having Rhymes get away with OPI every time. He still has weapons but it seems like Hatcher has not rebounded from injury yet, Hollins is missing a step, and McInnis has been coming back down to earth.
  5. Indeed. I was thinking about Alford and Nichols together. That was deadly. And then you had Rose, Houston, Taylor, Mike Jones and a prime Alexander It's true. But we were dominant that year period.
  6. Did Johnson take snaps tonight? I didn't even notice him
  7. How does this secondary compare to those in recent history? Might be the best I've seen in terms of ability to cover and big play potential.
  8. Rourke starting hot by hitting his check down over the middle over and over. I guess something the Bombers adjusted to (in addition to what they were doing with Stanback) and the rest is history. Kudos to the linebackers and defensive backs who had BC on lock down yet again.
  9. Bombers win on Nathan Rourke Handjob Night
  10. Love that Holm is just covering the guy step for step. Hatcher is pulling on him. Definitely a Bomber penalty rofl
  11. 10 points gifted by the referees.
  12. Yeah wtf was that. Terrible spot and then a bad decision by Osh to go for that
  13. This. And to me that was a good defensive play. There is no chance in God's green earth that gets overturned. That holding call though, yeesh
  14. Serious question though...what is so hard about running that play that Strev can't figure it out?
  15. Demski comes open when you have a more complete receiving core. Love it
  16. Fix is already in. That should have been an easy call
  17. Watching this one in Bedford, NS. Generally have had good results against the BC Lions when I'm here. 🤞Thankfully it's an early start in BC. Only 8pm ADT!
  18. Ottawa using the Stampeder lucky horseshoe for that one. Houston is going to have flashbacks of about 4 plays that game. Have to say though that while Calgary is pretty bad on defense...on offense they seem to be the team that comes up with the templates to beat good defences.
  19. Yeah I can't even get behind Lapo's "you can't hit him in the head". That's just called jaw jacking and JSK flopped - hard.
  20. Masoli playing NBA point guard very well.
  21. Easy pass interference call leading to that TD. But it makes me mad every time they make these calls right when they blew it against us vs the Argos. Still can't get over that.
  22. He was a starter in Calgary this year. Doesn't really matter though. He's shown nothing. And I've heard no reason from any reports or anything to suggest that he should be anywhere near starting. Even if you're a backup you should have some value (outside of a QB which holds a designated roster spot). If you think he should be taking starters reps in the offense to get Adams on, that is certainly your right to that opinion. I just don't think our offense would function well with him in.
  23. I was going to say the same thing but it seems like the consensus is that it's how to keep Adams in.
  24. Cool. Nobody is saying "you" think Murphy is the best option. But if Adams should be playing no matter what then maybe we should just be giving Haba another week to recover.
  25. It was never a question that they need to use Lucky to some degree on offense. It's more about what's there when he's not in on offense. Our offense hasn't exactly been lighting it up and having a guy who IMO is the guy who comes in when all our other Canadian receivers are hurt isn't going to help.
