  1. I know in a previous thread I was questioning Darvins top end skill. But there's no questioning that he's the type of player you want on your team. This signing feels good
  2. Absolutely have to pay the difference makers.
  3. I would like us to put a bit more money in our secondary. I don't know if anyone in our stable is going to be able to jump right in a shutdown the league's best. If it meant not going hard after a big named receiver I'd be okay with that
  4. As someone who is feeling very unreasonable about this process...I want to know what's all going on. Who are we targeting? 😧
  5. Same with Rose. Or am I thinking of someone else? I'd lean toward Evans, Leonard or Frankie Williams maybe?
  6. Someone mentioned in the other thread that we should be focusing on signing a top DB in free agency. I am totally on board with that after losing our top 2 guys. Who is out there and who would be a good fit for us?
  7. Adams is definitely a solid receiver, great blocker, and brings some intangibles. No doubt about that. Is he a top flight receiver still though? That's the question.
  8. Didn't realize Derel Walker was also a free agent. He'd be #1 for me then. Also the guy I'd target as he is probably not destined for the NFL anymore. If we're not looking to pay big bucks then Daniels would probably come a little cheaper
  9. Looking through the free agency tracker there is a very interesting mix of receivers. Who would you have at the top of your list? Who would you think would be feasible? Shaq Evans would be the top for me but I don't know if he'd be available or want to come here. DeVaris Daniels might be a guy that we should target.
  10. Justin Goltz. The original Streveler
  11. Someone will be mad at this comment
  12. Had to dig this one up... At one point this poster was hanging up at the stadium.
  13. I would imagine that the Bomber brass asked some of our veteran players before making this decision. From my impression this wasn't an easy decision at all and "character" could have easily flipped it. I think that the players liked Matt too though and the radio silence is out of respect.
  14. Im sure you've said it yourself... Arbuckle is not even a 2nd year starting qb. Sophomore slumps happen. It's not easy to hinge your team to an inexperienced team. Hell, Hamilton doesn't want to. And Dane Evans has proven more
  15. I dunno man the Redblacks might use Nichols for leverage in signing Arbuckle or they might decide that they want a sure thing (Lapo must have a thing for Nichols). If Ottawa is involved at all it might get Toronto off their butts to go for a "sure thing". 3rd round draft pick to own Nichols negotiating rights could be a thing
  16. If there were multiple teams looking at signing Nichols you could probably get something for him. But Toronto must know that nobody else is clamoring for him.
  17. Always wanted Collaros but man that guaranteed money is scary. Even the most protected QBs can get hurt. How many QBs made it through the whole season last year?
  18. Gotcha. Well, as you know sometimes the starting QB is not chosen by just the offensive coordinator. and starting a more experienced QB in the playoffs (see: Collaros) can be a more pragmatic decision. Maybe Lapo still likes him? At the very least it appears he'll be giving him another shot.
  19. I thought Lapo was a fan of Davis? Am I forgetting what happened?
  20. Whitehead is mostly speed, which he has a lot of. I feel like partway through the year he was battling an injury or was given too much responsibility as he didn't look to have as much of a burst. Nelson is just more polished as a football player to me, has better vision for returns and runs better routes. He isn't as fast as Whitehead but uses his quickness well in small spaces. You can't just outrun everybody in the pros.
  21. I remember O'Shea gushing over Nelson. He wasn't directly comparing him to Charles Roberts, but the way he talked about him reminded me of the same qualities. Slippery, can't find him when he's coming out of the backfield, fast, good hands. The only thing he doesn't have is size. Probably isn't as strong as Grant and not as fast as Whitehead...but his other qualities make him a better slot.
  22. I'm excited to have Nelson back. I saw him as having the potential to have a breakout season much like Lawler did last year.
  23. Ouch...still no respect, even after those playoff performances.
  24. With our O-line complete and our offensive coordinator picked out I'm hoping qb will be signed very soon
