  1. Someone will be mad at this comment
  2. Had to dig this one up... At one point this poster was hanging up at the stadium.
  3. I would imagine that the Bomber brass asked some of our veteran players before making this decision. From my impression this wasn't an easy decision at all and "character" could have easily flipped it. I think that the players liked Matt too though and the radio silence is out of respect.
  4. Im sure you've said it yourself... Arbuckle is not even a 2nd year starting qb. Sophomore slumps happen. It's not easy to hinge your team to an inexperienced team. Hell, Hamilton doesn't want to. And Dane Evans has proven more
  5. I dunno man the Redblacks might use Nichols for leverage in signing Arbuckle or they might decide that they want a sure thing (Lapo must have a thing for Nichols). If Ottawa is involved at all it might get Toronto off their butts to go for a "sure thing". 3rd round draft pick to own Nichols negotiating rights could be a thing
  6. If there were multiple teams looking at signing Nichols you could probably get something for him. But Toronto must know that nobody else is clamoring for him.
  7. Always wanted Collaros but man that guaranteed money is scary. Even the most protected QBs can get hurt. How many QBs made it through the whole season last year?
  8. Gotcha. Well, as you know sometimes the starting QB is not chosen by just the offensive coordinator. and starting a more experienced QB in the playoffs (see: Collaros) can be a more pragmatic decision. Maybe Lapo still likes him? At the very least it appears he'll be giving him another shot.
  9. I thought Lapo was a fan of Davis? Am I forgetting what happened?
  10. Whitehead is mostly speed, which he has a lot of. I feel like partway through the year he was battling an injury or was given too much responsibility as he didn't look to have as much of a burst. Nelson is just more polished as a football player to me, has better vision for returns and runs better routes. He isn't as fast as Whitehead but uses his quickness well in small spaces. You can't just outrun everybody in the pros.
  11. I remember O'Shea gushing over Nelson. He wasn't directly comparing him to Charles Roberts, but the way he talked about him reminded me of the same qualities. Slippery, can't find him when he's coming out of the backfield, fast, good hands. The only thing he doesn't have is size. Probably isn't as strong as Grant and not as fast as Whitehead...but his other qualities make him a better slot.
  12. I'm excited to have Nelson back. I saw him as having the potential to have a breakout season much like Lawler did last year.
  13. Ouch...still no respect, even after those playoff performances.
  14. With our O-line complete and our offensive coordinator picked out I'm hoping qb will be signed very soon
  15. Amazing idea. Based on our average of around 24000 we could definitely afford to get in on a couple thousand youth season tickets. I worry that after a Grey Cup though that they are going to try to squeeze every penny out of us
  16. The Grey Cup game wasn't exactly the most gripping one of the 3, but would I have wanted it to be closer? Hell no. My only complaint is that we didn't beat Sask worse.
  17. For now that is a safe assumption. Highly likely both make the opening day roster.
  18. Yeah I thought he might be gone. But I suppose when you start a Canadian RB that's the best opportunity for playing time.
  19. What was the scoop with Anderson. Was he a guy we liked but he just wanted more of an opportunity? Either way I don't blame Lapo for bringing in some familiarity. It should help him early on
  20. https://www.cfl.ca/players/dominique-rhymes/163356/ I'll stop you right there
  21. Not sure if this has been posted but... https://mobile.twitter.com/_TopDawg20/status/1206355810693066758 Good BB prospect picked up by Lapo
  22. So do we sign Stanley Bryant next and then once free agency comes around we let all of the QBs bid for lowest salary to be able to play behind our offensive line?
  23. We have our three skilled starting Canadians on the offensive side of the ball back for next year. Awesome
  24. Regardless of the quote I dont get the sense that Dinwiddie is going to be the one to get them out of the basement. But I hope I'm wrong, to an extent.
