  1. Can't really go by reception rate. That stat is targets is it not? I've seen Lawler overthrown quite a bit
  2. Lawler? He gets routinely praised by the coached for his hands
  3. Well we haven't seen Grant do any receiving. Why do you think Whitehead is a better receiver than Nelson? I see them as fairly close but I like how slippery Nelson is. I'm genuinely curious if you think the speed factor makes that much of a difference. I agree that I'd rather have Bailey though. Not only is he more polished, but he can get 3 extra yards by dragging a defender.
  4. Nelson is a more rosterable player (good receiver and returner) at this point than either Whitehead or Grant. But Grant does the return thing really well and I wouldn't be taking him out now.
  5. I have no idea what to do with our receivers when everyone is healthy. I'm actually not crazy about Whitehead being on the roster as I like Nelson and Grant more.
  6. I heard someone say that Montreal and Saskatchewan are pretty similar teams and I agree. Both have a strong running game. Both have quarterbacks that can extend drives. Both have receivers that can make plays occasionally. Both are more known for their defense. But with all of that, both teams are not that great or consistent and are/were mostly running on hot streaks. They aren't as good as Winnipeg/Calgary/Hamilton imo and fall into the second tier of teams.
  7. A lot easier to do in 1st place
  8. @MTL VS. HAM @SSK VS. MTL @CGY VS. CGY Considering we haven't lost at home in 9 games i'm going to go out on a limb and say we win our remaining ones this year plus one of the away games to finish 13-5. Should be enough for 1st in the West. Go Bombers
  9. I can't help but think Harris is leaving his team out to dry
  10. Amazing that all I'm hearing from the Regina side is how bad they played and that losing the Banjo Bowl is their ticket to winning the Grey Cup.
  11. Yeah that too. I was actually stating things as a positive. It's pretty clear that to win a game you only have to pass for 200 yards with no interceptions. Having Strevelers running game is just a bonus
  12. He only threw 21 passes today and nearly threw for 200 yards. That's actually pretty decent. 2 TDS no INTs. He's starting to take control and looking way more comfortable passing. Surprised Fajardo only threw 24 passes. Thats time of possession for you
  13. Is this real life
  14. I'm a Bailey Booster now boys
  15. I'm pretty excited to see Rasheed Bailey play. In pre-season I was a Lawler guy but I know there were quite a few Bailey guys.
  16. Why can't we win the cup? Our defense has been phenomenal and our offense with Nichols and Harris is good enough. If it's not Hamilton then we should still be favoured to win the cup. Funny that the moment the Riders beat the Bombers in the LDC without our starting QB and RB is also the first time where I'm hearing Grey Cup probabilities. lol Get real.
  17. That's because Kenny Lawler is the best. We knew this.
  18. What did McCallister think he was in for? You gotta pay your dues to get ahead of the likes of Jeffcoat, Jefferson and Roh.
  19. One thing I have to admit is that going into this year I expected a lot from Streveler. Maybe too much considering it is his second year. I think we can all admit that he's our best chance at developing a starting quarterback in a while, but he still needs that time to develop.
  20. Quality post Colin. I liked the point about our pass blocking. Young o-line in the middle and an injured Hardrick, not to mention the experience of Andrew Harris blocking... And you can kind of see what's been going on. Makes total sense. Nichols would have been blasted behind the pass blocking streveler has been getting
  21. Was getting concerned after the first quarter but I look at that game thinking Streveler made chicken salad out of chicken **** more than a couple of times
  22. Very important game to win if we want to hold onto first place. Gotta believe Streveler took a step yesterday. Obviously far from a complete quarterback but given the cards he was dealt he made a real go of it
  23. Im down on the defense but it is what it is. The unwinnable game was not won, again. Props to the referees for making sure of it, though
  24. Penalties pretty lopsided
  25. Juke of my life
