Why can't we win the cup? Our defense has been phenomenal and our offense with Nichols and Harris is good enough. If it's not Hamilton then we should still be favoured to win the cup. One thing I have to admit is that going into this year I expected a lot from Streveler. Maybe too much considering it is his second year. I think we can all admit that he's our best chance at developing a starting quarterback in a while, but he still needs that time to develop.

Quality post Colin. I liked the point about our pass blocking. Young o-line in the middle and an injured Hardrick, not to mention the experience of Andrew Harris blocking... Yeah if Matthews isn't adding anything to the team we may as well use the money to sign a guy that will. 150k (or whatever) could get you that last piece of the puzzle for a cup run.

O'Shea also said that Chris Matthews was going to be a big part of our offense this year.

Has anyone heard anything about Charles Nelson? He would also be a great guy to have on the roster.

It certainly feels like a lot of adversity at once. But this team was doing well without Chris Matthews before and will do well without him again.

I don't know if there's a single player in the league, past or present, that you could compare to Andrew Harris as far as what this could do to their reputation. Hometown guy, holds a bunch of records, future hall of famer, embraces being a role model, etc etc. He had absolutely nothing to gain and everything to lose from doing steroids

Cant really fault the fans on having to process this. The players have had time to do so. The internet moves fast though. I think most will be back on the AH train in a coue weeks
