  1. If the PR guy of the Bombers is saying below 50/50 then it's probably below 10%...
  2. Love the toughness Alexander brings and how much he improved last year
  3. If I'm us we try to lock up a top flight receiver before the qb situation gets ironed out. I wonder how many wait to see which qb is throwing to them
  4. Maybe. He's a guy that will gut your defense if you leave him anything. But he doesn't throw guys open like a Ricky Ray, Reilly or BLM can
  5. When did Dom Davis become even close to a replacement for Trevor Harris? Did I miss something? Edit: on mobile. Forget that I have some random empty quote I can't delete
  6. I'd like to see what our linebacking core would be like if your top guy was JSK and we had to fill our MLB position again. Oh no wait, I wouldn't
  7. Kind of figured with JSK. Like I said before...with Bighill in the middle the WIL linebacker seems pretty arbitrary.
  8. "Fenner bender - restructuring his contract with the Bombers to free up $ is telling.." Telling what exactly? That he got beat out for the starting job?
  9. Roster management. Guy not making enough of an impact to justify his salary. *shrug*
  10. Wondering if we might not see Jovan Santos-Knox back. Bighill plus gaitor plus Wilson would be pretty good. Enjoying that we have enough core guys that there is less pressure on overpaying players who aren't exactly game changers
  11. Ended the game with 7 touchdowns...
  12. Looking through our free agent list I saw Mike Miller's name and thought...if we can't get this guy signed it will be a bad omen. Heart and soul player (with talent) that wants to be here. Really happy with this.
  13. I personally really like our half backs. The physicality they bring has been awesome to watch this year
  14. I think we will see the benefits of this regimes reputation in free agency when most all of our guys want to come back
  15. Try to bring most of em back unless you can find a small upgrade from another team. We were a home game away from winning the Grey Cup.
  16. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patrick_Neufeld But not always...
  17. Chungh has to be priority. Goossen I'd imagine isn't going anywhere. After that I wouldn't overpay
  18. Tackles locked up for next year. Now we get to choose from our glut of Canadian guards. Who do we have under contract?
  19. I have high hopes for Petermann but I think Simonise is already ready to make that next step. He's made some big plays. Super exciting to have both guys though
  20. Simonise most likely. Isn't Petermann more of a slot receiver?
  21. They also have Spencer, Ellingson and Sinopoli. A marked improvement over our top 3.
  22. Should be a million x easier to make an upgrade at one of those positions...
  23. Is Dressler a good player? Sure, but he's also playing the most important slot position. And regardless of whether he was injured this year he didn't even get close to reaching the 1000 yard mark (being durable is a good thing). Wolitarsky actually had more yards than him this year playing a ton of his time as the last read. We had 1 receiver in the top 20 this year. So it's either Nichols really is that bad or our American receivers still need to be upgraded.
  24. Interesting to me is that there aren't many posts calling for a regime change. Our Grey Cup drought just ticked up another year and I would have imagined there would be. I'd like to use this thread to discuss what people think on the matter. By all accounts this regime inherited a bad team from top to bottom. From there we had a couple of lean years as the team was overturned/built up. And now we have a team that looks to be a "winning" team but just hasn't had much success in playoffs. You could argue that we were improved this year by almost beating Calgary in their barn. So the question...is the progress good enough? Some call the CFL a re-loading league, in that you can go from 0-18 to a Grey Cup the next year. Others would contest that it does take a while to build a consistent winner and that seems to be the course that we've taken. I'll leave my opinion out of it for now and hear what you have to say. What do you think of our GM/Scouting? What do yo think of our coaching staff?
