I didn't watch the whole game but I saw one of "The Duke" 's TD catches. The DB was right on him, he pushed him just as the ball arrived and then easily caught it. I'm not sure how it wasn't PI or wasn't challenged as such.

As far as amount of weapons and quality of defense I thought Toronto looks to have great potential. I'm with Mike on the Ticats looking like garbage, though. At the end of the day it was the first week. It is really hard to determine the power rankings.

Something has to be said about that ticat secondary though. Honestly the ticats look awful in general

Hard to pick 3 guys that stood above the rest. A lot of guys made plays. Even thought the DBs in the 4th quarter deserved a better fate. Very exciting preseason game, which can't be said about many in the past.

The refing was terrible. Chaosmonkey and I were having a hoot watching #84 on Edmonton go offside every play in the 4th quarter. It wasn't even close. That and some of the PI calls were pretty laughable. The 4th quarter was comedic but wouldn't have been funny if it was regular season

Lankford sure showed his abilities during the first pre-season game. I don't think his hands are terrible and it's just a matter of being consistent and "getting his head in the game". Somewhat reminds me of when we had Adarius Bowman.

If they felt like Apodaca was still in their plans, they likely would have given him some time this Thursday.

Surprised Liggins wasn't cut for being the other guy to hit the endzone. lol

I for one am one of those who thinks Bennett has potential to be a good QB. But what do I know.

With these pre-season games you aim to give your QBs a certain amount of time but it doesn't always work out the way you want. I'm guessing you're probably right.

I did notice Hurl during punt cover practice yesterday and thought he had an extra jump in his step FWIW.

If I had to pick 1 new import receiver to make the team right now I'd say it would be Duncan. He has burned many DBs and makes the catches look easy. Will be interesting to see what he brings to the table as a returner
