  1. Have to say...with just a couple wins in a row I'm really starting to look forward to Bomber games again. It was easy getting up to watch them on TV, but walking to IGF was starting to become a real drag...
  2. Would have loved to see one of Dressler or Smith back this week...
  3. I'm guessing kickoffs with Fogg doing punt returns
  4. Sometimes you need an elite speedster to open things up for the other guys. Dunigan was sure raving about him. Still lots to prove though, I agree.
  5. I was hoping we'd get at least one receiver back this week. Last week, with the exception of Denmark, they were underwhelming. So Denmark, McDuffie, K Adams, Mayo, and Kohlert this week.
  6. Do you think they fill the retirement papers now or after the season?
  7. Sure I'd say we are "for real" in that with our defense and ST we will be competitive in the games ahead. The ebb and flow of the CFL says we don't necessarily keep up this torrid pace of whopping teams 30 to whatever, but I think we can make playoffs.
  8. Run game. Physicality. I worry that having Smith Dressler and Denmark in the lineup might be a bit too small. But I'm willing to give it a shot
  9. Hard to nitpick after a win but clearly if any area of our team needs to get better to become a contender it's our receiving core. Who do you have given a healthy lineup? For me: Dressler, D. Adams, Denmark (Smith as backup) , Davis (Mayo as backup) , Kohlert. Good combination of physicality, speed and experience.
  10. Lmao such a Glenn ending. Milt miracle not withstanding
  11. Suplex tackle? Really?
  12. I don't think you can read too much into our second half offence. How often does a team dominate like that in the first half and then continue it into the second. It's a combination of less-risky play calling, taking the foot off the gas (mentally it's different), and push-back from the other team (adjustments) Contrary to belief it is not risky to throw a deep ball into one-on-one coverage on the sideline. If the receiver is any good he will at the very least knock the ball down. If you want examples of teams letting up, just watch some of the teams the Bombers played early this year with Willy in the lineup. A lot of people think we were a good 4th quarter team but really we were just good when the game was out of reach. But this time we were on the right side of the ball
  13. I would have said McDuffie is quicker, faster and more slippery than Fogg before last night. Now I thin Fogg is just as slippery and is a smarter returner.
  14. The thread title just asked if a blow out would cost Osh his job. Not a loss. Now we must discuss the blow out against the tiger cats costing him his job. I say no.
  15. I think Cole was looking for NFL opportunities and then got hurt? Not exactly sure what his deal was but he's the man opposite Westerman if healthy.
  16. It's either Adams or Sheppard sitting. I'd imagine it would be Sheppard. It especially makes sense if Fogg is returning kicks.
  17. You really can't be in game shape from practice. But it can help. He is a veteran and likely knows his role on ST inside and out. There is a big difference between physically being able to take special teams reps and physically being able to go out there for every defensive rep
  18. Good point. I may have worded it wrong. Maybe "ease him into the lineup" would be better. He wouldn't have to be the next man up with Derek Jones available
  19. Maybe Adams does some ST work to get him in game shape?
  20. I can't remember a worse display of football etiquette. I knew he was going to get a DQ. Question is fined or suspended.
  21. Probably a better all around receiver than McDuffie at this point but McDuffie likely gets a handful of plays based on pure game breaking talent.
  22. I messed up the "who misses the playoffs" question. Voted Als but meant Argos.
  23. I think we'll be alright. Our offence being the problem spot from the first game, let's take a look at it: Smith showed flashes of why we went after him. Dressler seemed like he was going to have a big day until he was hurt. Both Darvin Adams and Jace Davis made big plays as well. And obviously we still have Andrew Harris. Once Willy shakes the rust off, and gels with his receivers, it isn't foolish to have tremendous optimism.
  24. Probably one of his last chances to make something of his football career. Plus we don't exactly have the most impactful national receivers... I don't really see a problem brining him in.
  25. I'm assuming we start 8 Nats for flexibility reasons again. 5 Nats on offence. Westerman shologan and... We would need one other national on the defensive side of the ball. Rotation between Hurl, Briggs, Waggoner, D Jones, Loffler?
