Yep your right it's the posters that are the reason we are 2-2 instead of 3-1. If the posters were in charge we'd be 4-0 lol

People around here sink their teeth into any one thing that goes wrong like it's a systemic problem. Hurl gets run over once by Cornish? He was run over all game! Coach makes a really terrible mistake not calling a timeout? The team has terrible coaching problems! Bass reads a play incorrectly? He is lost out there. Demond Washington takes a PI call? He's terrible. Cut him
-
Plus the DB didn't have position to justify contact. If you have to reach out and grab someone it's a penalty. Probably should have been illegal contact though as the grab happened fairly early in the route. Was wondering if I was missing something. They didn't really focus on the early part of the route much on TV.
-
Yeah those kind of PI calls worry me. Means pretty much every play is challengable.
-
Harris looking phenomenal. Lulay looking adequate. He's had some receivers open and missed them.
-
For whatever reason I really enjoyed seeing Hamilton lose that one...

I like Veltung too. Very good returner. Was kind of hoping they'd keep both him and Troy on the roster if it were possible. In the end Stoudemire plays offense, defense and special teams. Not many players can say that.
-
Like both Stoudemire and Veltung on returns. I'm happy with either. Guess this means that Adams will still be in. Status quo.
-
I think it will be telling on how much they think of Veltung if they end up keeping him in the lineup this week.

Nice ninja edit on Ryan Smith. I don't disagree. Smaller guys can be effective, and even all-stars in this league. But they have their role just like taller receivers have their roles. In tight goal-line coverage it's nice to have someone with height and reach. When you are driving the ball down the field those smaller guys can find a lot of space.
-
Our receiving corps would be quite small with Denmark, Veltung and Stoudemire in the mix.
-
Any sign of Darvin Adams at practice? Bauming tweeting that Stoudemire is taking snaps in the offense.

Greaves is a starting Canadian offensive lineman. If anything his value goes up during the season with injuries. But he is still more valuable to us. Need oline depthI could be a Canadian offensive lineman but I'd probably suck. Does that mean my trade value just went up? And actually yeah if you were under contract your trade value would have gone up. You are now worth a roll of tape instead of a urinal puck lol

Greaves is a starting Calibre guy and is consistently healthy.

You think they would activate Gordon? I think Veltung might make more sense if Adams can't play this week. I don't know why Veltung would make more sense to some folks, Veltung was hardly a consideration at receiver throughout camp and likely wouldn't even be on the roster if not for the fact Stoudermire AND Carlos Anderson both got hurt - meanwhile, Gordon ran with the 1s and 2s almost all camp. Maybe Veltung is a better game performer than practice performer, that definitely does happen with guys now and then, but Gordon still looked impressive and if he and Willy can get some chemistry, he could be dangerous. I think Veltung has made the most of his chances and has done a pretty good job as a returner and receiver. Maybe he continues to get better given more opportunity . He is definitely what you'd call a skilled player. Speed, quickness, seems to be able to catch the ball. Gordon hasn't really proved much except for how to piss Willy off running the wrong route

I could be wrong but i think you can pull as many people as you want off of the 6-game. But there's a limit to how many you can do before having to pay their salary for the time they're off? You have to pay their salary no matter what. You are allowed to take one player off the 6 game early without the previous games while on the 6 game counting against the cap. Stoudermire would likely be our first half exemption if he is back this week and Collins (on a rookie contract) we would likely activate, if healthy, and just eat his cap hit for the last 3 games. No matter what though, they are paid their salary in full while on the 6 game. I knew that but for some reason did not say it

I think our D line may be getting asked to muck it up and hold their lanes more than rush the QB as to make things easier on our MLB

It would be stupid to fire Chamblin but I have to admit that he had a meltdown this game -

Interesting to see Bastien taken out before Richards. Wonder if Richards is going to start making an impact soon. -

Does our US scouting dept doing a good job or not? They brought a lot of talent during the off-season and training camp but looks like most of them are not good enough to stick with the team even those who made it after the TC. Starting to feel the same way. Some of these guys looked really good in training camp but are either failing completely or aren't being given any time to develop. -

While he might provide a bit of a spark .. Veltung has acquitted himself nicely so far in the return game. Very true. Wonder if we could get them both back there on kickoffs somehow...or if it would be worth it. Pick your poison. -

Honestly I see the Bombers in both games as very similar teams. I actually would say our defense got a little bit better in Hamilton (they were much closer to making plays than in Saskatchewan). The problem was that we were playing a better team and our starting QB went out. Then things went downhill quickly (kick return touchdown, interceptions etc.). I'm hoping that our defense can take another step in the right direction. They are still learning the system. Talent wise I think they can be a respectable defense once they stop making huge mistakes. It's a new week. Go Blue. -
