  1. Taynted, if you keep this up I'm going to run out of likes
  2. https://twitter.com/BlueBomberTalk/status/715903258657558529 Is this an April Fools joke? Most definitely
  3. Speaking as a Wheel of Time devotee, I suggest that nobody kid around about Martin dying before the books are finished. To this day I blame myself for the death of Robert Jordan.
  4. Do you think Renaud was smiling in the locker room after tearing his ACL making a tackle?
  5. I miss my Blackberry. Way to stick to your guns O'Shea!
  6. http://canuckplay.com/cfb.html Sounds like something worth keeping an eye one, but it's still under development. No screenshots yet, but they claim everything (code, 3d models, animations) are brand new built from the ground up. No GM mode
  7. Indeed they talk quickly. My wife grew up in Germany and has a hard time with all the different english accents and dialects, not to mention rate of speech. Despite that, this is still so funny it's her new favorite show... she just has to watch each episode 2 or 3 times to catch it all haha
  8. I didn't see Letterkenny mentioned yet... It's a Canadian sitcom based in small town Ontario. This show is full of laugh out loud moments. The cold open speaks for itself. As far as I know it's only available on Crave right now. Warning: offensive language and manscaping.
  9. Because every city needs someone to do their Humpty's commercials.
  10. Here is an article from the Chicago Tribune. http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/ct-kansas-business-shooting-20160225-story.html
  11. I sat front row in section 8A at the old stadium, directly above section S. There was a healthy mix of player jerseys and custom jerseys. Probably a 50/50 split. The duos of Prof. Scotch & Prof. Bourbon and Drunk & Disorderly were some good ones. Wish I could remember more off the top of my head. I really miss section S...
  12. Here comes the unpopular opinion! Knowing you're getting a shitty deal going in doesn't make the deal any less shitty. I can't help but sympathize with the players making league minimum or PR wages while Kenny Canadian gets paid more than his fair share to be a slow unreliable <insert any position> week in week out because he has the right passport. This is a cruel and cut-throat business, only more-so to the American players we rely on so heavily for our skill positions. If we want to see better talent coming north we need to be a desirable destination. Nothing about that deal sounds desirable. Yes, they are getting paid to play a game blah blah blah, but if they all went and got 'real jobs' instead of making league minimum who would we have to watch come July? And before anyone gets up in arms, I appreciate the ratio and I love seeing Canadians play... whether or not they are the best available player at their position... it's just a shame that ratio balancing dictates who plays (and gets paid), and not talent. It's something I thought about a lot watching Brock Ralph try to catch a ball.
  13. No kidding! By week 8 I think we'll have a good idea what we are made of...
  14. Cottage country folk should be happy with the Thursday night home games in July at least.
  15. Just to emphasize the point, google 'CFL Field Goal'; find me any FG from any range kicked from centre field and I owe you a shiny penny.
  16. Honestly asking me that? SIUYA Yes, extra points are kicked from the centre of the field, and have been for as long as I can recall. But they weren't kicked from 32 yards out. Typically, if a kicker was kicking from 32 yards out, they were doing it from the hashmarks. Now, with the rule changes, kickers are forced to kick the ball at a range they are almost always kicking at from the hashmarks. That's the whole point. He's not used to kicking 32 yarders from centre field, extra point or otherwise.
  17. From the Freep back in July 2015 FREEP Hajrullahu points out there's another wrinkle making 32-yard converts challenging -- they are kicked from the centre of the field instead of one of the two hash marks. Hajrullahu said it's rare to kick a field goal from between the hash marks -- he estimates 90 per cent of field goals are from one hash mark or the other. He said the placement of the ball on converts has been messing with his head more than it should have. "There's a glitch obviously," he said. "But luckily it didn't affect the team in a serious way and I've been treating it as a learning experience and getting prepared to get back on my horse... "But it's frustrating, just because those point-afters are supposed to be gimmes."
  18. For the Simpsons fans out there. I'm sure I caught most of these references when I saw them, but I didn't realize just how closely they imititated each scene.
  19. Kirk Penton @PentonKirk Former #Bombers RB Cameron Marshall has signed with the NFL's Seattle Seahawks. #CFLFA 8:18 PM - 11 Feb 2016 Wow! Best of luck to him!
  20. I think that play says more about Arcenaux than it does about Washington. The guy is a powerful receiver and could do that to a lot of DBs in this league.
  21. What he really said was that they will both be testing free agency. We haven't lost them yet, but it's obviously not looking good.
  22. I like football. I'm glad to hear there is more of it out there.
  23. I understand your concerns... but it's no surprise a guy with Messam's skillset can get more than one chance to show his stuff. Most recently when Sask traded him away in the middle of his All-Star season, they had also been eliminated from the playoffs already and were gearing up for a rebuild... by shedding some cap and getting some assets in return (3rd rounder, neg list player, and Kicker T Crapigna) ... not unlike us trading away Alex Hall, one of the lone bright spots in a dismal season.
