  1. Do you ever worry that another team might target an injury if they knew specifically what to target? I'm not sure how unrealistic this may be, but it seems to me if a team knew a left shoulder or a wonky elbow was hurting they might go out of their way to whack it a couple times. I can understand not disclosing the details of an injury. I think an organization that holds cards close to their chest has the right idea.
  2. Oh glad you clarified I was thinking the one near Polo Park. I was gonna walk out of there all
  3. It really is the greatest time of year.
  4. Sorry, I can't make it. Since you and DoD can't make it I guess these two knuckleheads will suffice.
  5. I don't live far from there but have a very early morning on Sunday. No promises, but I'd be happy to buy two of my favorite contibutors a filthy filthy craft beer.
  6. Pretty cool to be this close. I like being up a bit higher to have a better angle on the field, and the novelty of just wandering the concourse without being packed in ass to elbow is missing somewhat... but it's far from a deal breaker. Just glad to get to see some football up close after a long off season. There is a hawk nest on top of one of the field lights, mama hawk keeps circling us eyeballing the crowd, so there is something to watch during the slow points. Though if you ask my wife, Graig Newman is plenty to look at on his own. I'll have to take her word for it.
  7. Is Ryan Reaves there too? I read he was at rookie camp one day watching Jordan. If he is here he is really laying low, I haven't seen him and there isn't much of anywhere to hide out here haha
  8. Beautiful day for watching some football. Wade is chatting up some fans while Mr. Reaves is patrolling the sidelines snapping pics of Jordan. Saw a couple really bad shotgun snaps back to back during scrimmage, I think it was Goosen. Jordan Reaves was making tough catches, as was Feoli-G. Denmark looks great will not be surprised when he is our leading receiver again this year. Moore caught basically everything except one easy slant that he clearly regretted. Lattanzio is a block of muscle I could see him as a FB I'd love to see him throw a block. Nice to see all the big Canadian LBs. Sad to see someone not named Johnny Sears in 0. Yantz doesn't look out of place. Portis didn't throw as much as he ran but boy he can run. Brohm looks great. Willy got the ball out quick. Marve didn't have lots to throw to. D looks better than the O but that's typical. O and D are off doing their own thing now. Hope to see more scrimmage.
  9. He's been on It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia a couple times now. Tried to find a clip but no luck so far. He shows up first in season 5 episode 7. Hilarious!
  10. Thanks everyone for your reports
  11. Meanwhile, quarterback Dan LeFevour, signed last winter as a free agent from the Ticats, hasn’t cleared his physical and won’t participate in the start of camp. LeFevour’s season was terminated by a torn knee ligament. The Als hope he has recovered in time for the team’s second exhibition game, June 18. http://montrealgazette.com/sports/football/cfl/montreal-alouettes/the-snap-alouettes-sign-three-more-draft-picks
  12. It is, I'm watching it right now
  13. I bet we'll get to see something like that at the start of each practice, but a few minutes in all recording devices will have to be shut off...
  14. I'm with Portage Mutual. I had damage to my roof a couple years ago in one of our wicked-bad wind storms. There was no fussing around with my claim, everything was done in a single phone call as I remember it. I've been told not to go with Wawanesa, once by a real estate agent and then again by a former customer of theirs. I can't remember the details, but supposedly they can take a lot longer to process claims or can be more complicated to deal with. Just what I heard, I can't say I've personally dealt with them. I haven't compared them for a very long time, but when I bought my home in 2006 rates and coverage were pretty similar from institution to institution... a few dollars/month difference. If you find otherwise let me know!
  15. WE COULD HAVE HAD WAUD AT 11th OVERALL!!! THANKS KYLE!!! I'm angry with you for saying this because for some reason I can't tell that this is a joke. Am I doing it right?
  16. ...and Clarence Denmark, our best receiver the past 2 years. edit: how could I forget Bryant Turner!?!
  17. Yes, and thanks to our position in the draft order we beat out 3 other teams also willing to give up first rounders.
  18. This has all the makings of a masterpiece... boring super powers, generic bad guys, inspirational girlfriend pep-talks, and I'm guessing at least one montage involving costume changes. I will set the bar low and perhaps it will surprise me.
  19. Watch the first episode or two. You will likely get hooked. The characters pull you in. Won't say much more then that, but their evolution over the coarse of the series was very well done. I trust you Rich! I will add it to the list. Still have to watch Daredevil. Thinking of trying Bloodlines too. If you need a little action now, go with Daredevil first, you won't regret it. As for Breaking Bad, it is fantastic but the pace was a little slow for me.. at first... it takes off, though. Well worth the time.
  20. I'm thrilled to see our city taking pride in the Jets, even if the pride is excessive to some people. Losing the Jets dealt a major blow to the identity/ego of a lot of people in this city. I remember feeling like we got wiped off the map after the Jets left. A lot of things have changed since then. We've got something good going here, the city feels different and people are having fun rallying behind the Jets. If diehards want to adopt a 2-word chant that gets shouted all of once per event, I say let them have it. I don't shout it personally. I'm more of a 'Glorious and BLUE' kind of guy myself, and I have the sense to only shout that at Bomber games!
  21. Watching this right now:
  22. The 'True North' thing started out as recognition of TNSE to be sure, but I don't think it has that same meaning today, not entirely. It's like a war-cry for Jets fans and Jets fans alone. You'll hear it at the Bomber stadium every game. It would take a lot of effort and a lot of grain alcohol to reach the level of douchebaggery that many Rider fans have attained. Shouting True North during a hockey game in Brandon is nothing compared to flying your Prider gear on the beach in Cancun.
  23. Whatever. After years of Winnipeg getting little to no national coverage (and little respect when they did) it's nice to have the media ride our collective D for a bit.
  24. Whoa, Vega? Really... I also thought for sure he'd get another shot. I actually expected him to have a rebound season now that he is presumably healthy. I'd imagine he'll resurface somewhere. Morley... maybe once the injuries start piling up, if not sooner. Teams can make room for a Canadian vet that can play every spot on the OL.
