  1. Woo Cotton! Been waiting all season to see him get a legit shot at the starting gig.
  2. So, we're not signing any players, but when we do, they are not wowful enough. I'm curious, how the hell would we know until we sign them? Only sign perennial all-stars, duh. Wake up, Mr Dee!
  3. Fan Poll Who will win Friday night's games? Ottawa and Calgary9% Ottawa and Saskatchewan60% Winnipeg and Calgary22% Winnipeg and Saskatchewan9% Total Votes : 438 From CFL.ca right this moment.
  4. Anyone know who the head ref will be?
  5. Agreed, 4 is the best version. I was seriously dissappointed by 5, I've got it tied with Revolution for PS3 as my least favorite version. Yep, both 5 and Revolution were 'Civ - lite'. Too easy!
  6. Makes me glad to see all the Civ love in this thread. I have Civ 4 (all expansions) and Civ 5... Civ 4 is the best, or at least most in-depth incarnation if you ask me. Civ 5 is pretty much click continue til you win, not really all that much fun. If I could add up all the hours I spent playing Civ 1 when I was a kid... it would be embarrassing. On the plus side, I was the only grade 4 student who knew who Hammurabi was. That made me super cool and the envy of my peers
  7. good to hear. Their drummer is outstanding. Did either of you see Mastadon and Opeth a couple years back? I missed it... still kicking myself... if I had to choose only one metal band to listen to the rest of my life, it would be Opeth... and it's not even close. I've seen Opeth a few times, it may have been at the Garrick I saw them last for the Watershed release. Which was... forever ago, now that I think about it.... MARRY ME

  9. When I read Willy would get the start:
  10. Boo this man. BOOOOOO
  11. I was feeling pretty shitty about myself when I went 1-3 in the Pick 'Ems. Then I felt a shame I can't describe when my wife beat my ass this week in the TSN Fantasy scores. I take solace knowing that she beat the rest of you as well Congrats, BomberBug, on placing #1 in the MBB pool this week and 99th overall country wide. Now go make me a sandwich.
  12. I was pretty sure I was going 0-4 until that last TD from Dressler.
  13. To be fair to Walters and the Canadian depth, he did make the move for Neufeld and drafted OL with our top pick. It's not as though he ignored the Canadian content on the o-line, but perhaps more Canadian competition would have been a good idea.
  14. That was the refrain we've repeated since Wylie was hired. "Now we get to see if it's coaching or personnel that's the problem" Wylie isn't a miracle worker no matter what his history might lead someone to believe. However, I think he gets credit for moving Morely to C, thereby addressing a need AND getting the most out of an aging vet that many didn't expect much from. Overall, we still have lots of room to improve... especially in the ground game.
  15. After the Jets left I became an Ottawa fan. In my defense, I was young and stupid, and the black jerseys spoke to my budding teenage angst. At least I had one 'good' season of fandom when the Sens and Bombers both went to the Cup in '07. Sadly, neither team could make it happen in the end. My personal championship drought continues...
  16. Seems only right. He's had his slumps no doubt, but this year especially he has proven his worth and then some.
  17. Brutal. We had them right where we wanted them.,.
  18. However, they did finally get the injury tags on the players. I just wonder if they'll take them back off when they're supposed to.
  19. Alright fans, let's welcome Alex Brink and the rest of the Alouettes to the field!
  20. Hell yes I wear my jersey at work.
  21. Heard some pretty great news today! Check it out: (TSX:MBT) MTS, Manitoba’s leading full-service telecommunications provider, today announced that it will carry TSN’s expanded line-up of five national feeds: TSN1, TSN2, TSN3, TSN4 and TSN5. With this expansion, Winnipeg Jets™ games will now appear on TSN3 and be included in MTS TV’s Basic Service channel group. Simply put... no more subscribing for $10/month for TSN Jets as it is included in your basic service. This should come as good news to a lot of people I would think.
