Hall most likely to be new DC (Now Official)
MOBomberFan replied to Mr. Perfect's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
You're right, the best way to market the team to the public is just to send out a mass e-mail about the hiring of a new coach. Maybe they can just include it as a hidden message in the wanted ads next week. You think a presser to announce the hiring of Hall would help market the team? Really? The only folks who watch the pressers are the rabid fans who you don't need to sell the Bombers to. The 'news' papers would certainly carry the story. That's where the non-rabid fans get their info anyway. And what do you think helps build the story? A press conference. With quotes. For the story. Not to mention the photo ops with everyone smiling and shaking hands, and Hall in his shiny new W hat. A mass text/email just doesn't have the pomp and circumstance befitting a new coordinator. -
That tweet is Chris Greaves saying good luck to Mike Renaud

Riders release; Bombers sign Dominic Picard
MOBomberFan replied to gbill2004's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
He's nasty. Maybe we'll draw some penalties when opposing DL's start taking swings at him in retaliation for 'giving them the business' -
I'll have to lift a few extra Bombays on your behalf I guess. **** cancer. Congrats!!!

I hope my friends and family enjoy their super-hero themed bomber t-shirts they will be getting for Christmas.

Where does Kevie end up in 2015?

I was also a Pat White fan. Wouldn't it be something if him and Steve Slaton get reunited in the CFL at some point? -
Wow, talk about horribly misrepresenting a story. Here is the actual story for anyone interested: http://www.oregonlive.com/sports/oregonian/john_canzano/index.ssf/2014/11/canzano_her_name_is_brenda_tra.html Super interesting read. I wonder if she will end up speaking at Oregon after all. Speaking to Iso's remark about it being 'too late' - perhaps it's too late for a conviction, but not too late for today's Oregon players to learn something about being a decent human. Good for her for coming forward. I would have preferred these guys got their just desserts in prison, but I guess we'll have to settle for Tracy overcoming her emotional trauma to promote awareness of sexual abuse and maybe help in preventing other women from suffering a similar fate.

Guess he was not tired after that run. I know a lot of people can shrug and say he should have been a man or a pro, he should have just sucked it up and got back in the lineup... but man, what a heart-breaker! One second you're a hero who likely just won the biggest game of his life, the next you're crashing back down to earth. I can't blame him for that one.

I hate to admit I was one of the people booing the LeFors jersey give away. As I recall, the crowd was already booing the offense as they slinked off the field after another pathetic attempt to move the ball... then came the poorly timed announcement of the LeFors jersey giveaway and the booing just intensified. It was pretty clear that, at the time, the crowd was blaming LeFors (or LeForskin, according to some peoples modified jerseys). I always thought that LeFors got a raw deal, with his contract restructured mid-season and being blamed for the failures of an offense featuring frequent hand-offs to Brock Ralph. He was just one of many people who paid for Mike Kelly's mistakes.

Michael Sam Possibly Playing for Als Next Season
MOBomberFan replied to TrueBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I too would like to hear a clear explanation for this, I know I couldn't easily explain it... at least not without getting into much frowned upon racial generalizations. -

Even if they report themselves as straight, they are still gay.... The question is whether or not the same percentage would be applied to professional sports, and why wouldn’t it be? You could argue that it is a small sample size compared to the general population and the stats would be skewed somewhat, but by that rationale, the percentage could just as easily be larger as it would be smaller. Seems people want to believe that the percentage would be smaller because professional athletes should be more “manly”. Its more like, professional team sports -- especially football, hockey, baseball, etc -- are life long pursuits. You start when you can basically walk -- those that make it to the bigs are those whose talent matches their ability to endure 20 years of training, 20 years of locker rooms, 20 years of not so subtle homophobia. Its only logical that many gays -- especially until the last 10 years or so -- would gravitate towards non-team endeavours where their sex life would never come up. Its why many gay men went into diving, rowing, fencing, even martial arts. All sorts of this. It's not that the individual couldn't compete because of his or her orientation, it's because the environment is (woefully) hostile towards homosexuals, so much so to the point that many would wash out before making it to the pro ranks. -

You guys have endured a similar suffering to the Bombers in the last decade or so. It's a nice win for you guys and your fans. I may hate Kent Austin but it was good to see you and the Ticat fans get the win. You guys have endured a similar suffering to the Bombers in the last decade or so. It's a nice win for you guys and your fans. I may hate Kent Austin but it was good to see you and the Ticat fans get the win. Thanks, it was particulalrly gratifying as Duron Carter says HAM was going to get it's "ass kicked" and Woods guranteed a victory. Seen HAM go for entire seasons without 2 ST touchdowns - 2 in a div. final ? unreal. Was saying the same thing as it happened. Teams can go YEARS without a punt return TD, and here we have 2 (almost 3) in one game.

I do to a degree. When I bought my first Xbox 360 part of the decision making to get that over the PS3 was my friends all had Xbox's and we could play online. I played NHL a handful of times but enjoyed playing my own career mode offline. I played Call of Duty online a couple of times but getting into a game with strangers resulted in my immediate and repeated death by gamers who were far more skilled then I was. It just wasnt fun. I play games for my own personal enjoyment so the online aspect doesnt overly appeal to me. I liked playing with friends when it was two guys (or more) in the same room. Nothing more fun then playing Goldeneye with a group of buddies. Even this week, the gf and I fired up Super Mario Wii and played through the game for about the 5th time. Its still fun. CoD... where you die fast enough to be called a n00b or you live long enough to be called a hacker. Not a lot of in between. Not a lot of fun, either.

Yes, definitely, and I even think the multiplayer sometimes takes away from or comes at the expense of the single player experience. GTA V single player was still a great experience, but games like Assassins Creed (can't recall exactly which one) or the latest Mass Effect it felt like more effort went into the multiplayer than the single player campaign. That's part of what makes games like Skyrim and Fallout so great to me... the developers dedicated themselves to an incredible single player experience without having to shoe-horn in some multiplayer functionality to appease the masses.

Don't take my advice, I recommended a Poblah jersey to anyone who would listen a couple years ago. -

Yep, I'm with Brandon, PC gaming is where it's at. There aren't enough console-exclusive games that appeal to me, and the price of console games or the consoles themselves is just ridiculous. Being able to download your game direct to your hard drive without discs laying about everywhere is a nice bonus. Being able to mod your games with texture and content packs is a HUGE benefit to PC gaming... Steam offers crazy sales too, especially around Christmas and at the start of Summer... if you are lining up at Best Buy on boxing day to get a great 'deal' on console games because that's the only time they are reasonably affordable, you really need to check out Steam and consider PC gaming as an alternative. With that said, some games (NHL and Madden) just have to be played on console. Sort of like TUP said, it's hard to drop the coin on a new console just to be able to play some the latest hockey game.

Oh, he's around. What about 'The Paw', he never made the switch.

BC Lions Could Get Blown Up But Good

I hope not. Good GMs are good for the league in general. -
How is that even a song anyway? Repeating the same 4 words over and over again. I wish that song played every time I entered a room.

Wooohooo! Stoudermire was one of our best finds this season, and he didn't even attend TC.
