Heard some pretty great news today! Check it out: (TSX:MBT) MTS, Manitoba’s leading full-service telecommunications provider, today announced that it will carry TSN’s expanded line-up of five national feeds: TSN1, TSN2, TSN3, TSN4 and TSN5. With this expansion, Winnipeg Jets™ games will now appear on TSN3 and be included in MTS TV’s Basic Service channel group. Simply put... no more subscribing for $10/month for TSN Jets as it is included in your basic service. This should come as good news to a lot of people I would think.

Yes, but if it were still Ford back there getting stuffed those turnovers would have meant a lot less. 'Blind' would be ignoring the fact that when Sask took the ball away from us and gave it to Messam we had no answers. I guess that's not a big deal if clock and field position aren't important to you.
-
Yes exactly. There were many issues that lead to our loss, but I don't know how we are supposed ignore Messam's impact and say he had nothing to do with the win. He ate up a lot of clock that we could have used, and that alone made a huge difference... even if it doesn't amount to points on the board.

Messam did that? I must have missed it. Let's see. 23 points. 7 from an interception returned for a touchdown. 7 from a fumble returned for a touchdown. 3 from a fumble recovered at the 20, minimal advancement, turned into a field goal. 3 from a field goal generated by the offence in the first half. Messam had 0 carries in the first half. 3 from a field goal generated by the offence in the second half. Okay, Messam contributed to the scoring of 3 points. The oddest thing in all of this is it's still a Messam vs Volny debate for some people even though not one single person has ever argued that Volny is a better running back. Volny has 0 carries this season. Just like I had said he would have. The Bombers aren't using him as a running back. Just like I previously said they would not. He remains a role player, just like he always has. His position is listed as RB. It would be more accurate if it just said "Player". You can't just look at it from how many points he helped contribute. I'm not arguing for or against wanting Messam, but he did help keep our offense off the field ergo less time for us to score points. He had a good second half, props to him, nothing more, nothing less. You beat me to it. It's hard to downplay what a 6.6yd average and 126 yards in a single half can do for a team in a tight game like the one we saw last night, even if he didn't directly score any points. Watching him blow through our D was hard to stomach.

what is the gin of choice in the do or die household? I believe it's Bombay - correct? That's my gin of choice, that's for sure. Also, being the GDT... GO BOMBERS!!!

I can finally rejoin the chat...looking forward to tipping a few and enjoying what should be a really good football game. The debate now: Whisky from the 66 we brought back from Grand Forks, or one of the Winnipeg micro-brews we brought back from the MLCC. Half Pints, Farmery and Fort Garry all stocked up at the house...hmmm... You couldn't make a bad choice if you tried.

Win lose or draw I just can't wait for tonight. The stadium will be absolutely rocking if we can get off to a good start. I know a few people going to their very first Bomber game tonight... I sure hope we don't serve up another stinker now that folks are buying tickets again, like we did vs EDM

I've had the Brazilian one recommended, particularly for the capoeira demonstrations. The Japanese pavilion apparently puts on a good drum show.

I tend to sort by yards gained and take it from there... of course, all the cuts and washouts go straight to the bottom when you do this. -
Worked for us (so far), but man... those lumps sure are tough to endure.

Martell Mallett. I don't like Ottawa's chances in Calgary.

Yeah that comment thread was a good read. Nice to see people who otherwise felt no reason to watch the cfl tune in for a lefevour willy rematch. Must have been sweet after all these years -

I had to stay in Regina when a family member was staying in the hospital there. Sadly I must say that compared to Portage, parts of Kenaston, and basically all of St James, Regina's roads might as well be paved with gold. The strange casino in a series of traincars was something else... and jeez, the 'Rider Pride' splattered everywhere... like vomit in the bathroom at a St Patrick's Day social, you couldn't touch a door handle without bumping or stepping into something green. Burger Baron was the highlight of the visit since my motel didn't have a pool.

A 51 and a 49 anyways, but I also hope we're getting ahead of ourselves.
