if he didn't want to be here then why would he apply for the OC position. I don't want to be at work right now, but I have bills to pay! Even if he doesn't want to be in WPG, there are still only so many OC positions available in the CFL... he's casting as broad of a net as he needs to land a job.

Personally, I'd take anyone over Murray Clarke.Remember a couple years ago when Brink took a blatant shot to the head with Murray Clarke staring directly at him... and no call? Not just a missed call, it was more like Clarke just let it happen. It was so bad that when the TSN panel broke the play down they froze the frame at the moment of impact and zoomed in on Clarke staring intently as it happened. I had enough reasons to not like him up to that point, but that non-call sealed the deal.

The only one I'm not sure about would be Zach Anderson over JD Griggs.

PLL was solid depth, and was asked to do a lot more than he should have been doing at points in his Bomber career.

Matt Nichols hasn't been brought up much. Is it universally agreed that he is too 'injury prone' to be considered starter material? If it came down to Burris +1 but Collaros/Willy were too expensive or otherwise spoken for, I imagine Nichols would come at a cheaper rate. Or at least have a different sort of structure to his contract due to his injury history. He sure can play from what we've seen. I know the immediate reaction for most people is 'Nooooope, not again.' Somehow I can't figure out what separates a player from being unlucky, foolhardy, or full blown injury prone.

Nope, I'm not ignoring that at all. Shwarma Time on Ellice has had to put up with some **** over the years, but they're going strong years later with a very specialized menu. Why? Probably because Winnipeg is more ethnicly diverse and densely populated than a place like Morris. For every white bread Winnipeger who wouldn't set foot in a dark and musky Lebanese owned/operated street meat vendor, there is another Winnipeger who will. Do you accept that literally the only reason these businesses couldn't stay afloat was because of racism and bigotry? That if it wasn't for all those darn racist homophobes these businesses would have been thriving? If so, then you must be ignoring the existence of successful businesses owned by people of color in this town that haven't had to close their doors due to attacks by racists. I maintain that these businesses probably failed because the market wasn't right for them, plain and simple. There is no network of bigots in Morris trying to keep down the black/gay man, only a handful of garden-variety assholes you'll find in every town on the planet and a few businesses that were probably doomed to fail from the start.
