  1. We did no such thing, he retired on his own terms which I respect enormously. Did he really though.... Why wouldn't he of retired before the dispersal draft then.... We could of kept Miles potentially had he done that. That's an interesting point, but it's not Edwards' responsibility to make sure all the right strategic moves are being made at the right time. He chose to retire when he did because it was the right time for him (we assume), or perhaps he decided for himself following the expansion draft that he didn't want to return anymore. Who knows. I for one am glad that TE retired as a Blue Bomber, and not a recently drafted redblack.
  2. Retro 80's for the big fat win. Mods, you can lock the thread now
  3. Agreed. Seems to me he defended some guy accused of being a racist, and in turn was called a racist himself...? It's a riveting tale filled with many twists and turns. That and he doesn't control what other people say to him.
  4. I for one like the dark background. Looking at a site with a purely white background is like staring into a lightbulb.
  5. Sorry, the direct quote is: Sims-Walker is under contract until Feb 2015. So through the 2014 season only.
  6. He's under contract til 2015 according to Darrin Bauming, but that doesn't guarantee he's actually coming back.
  7. And heat when I'm trying to read it at work Looking forward to reading your blog, JBR
  8. That's what this conversation was missing... grammar police! To serve and correct.
  9. I have nothing to add that hasn't already been said. I'd really like to see Matthews back, and would have liked to see JT Gilmore return as well. I like Mainor when he is on his game, but his stupid penalties and Vega returning make him easily expendable. Solid B from me at this point.
  10. but... we haven't had a gooder since Roberts... OR to a lesser extent Ried. I'm a big Garrett fan, he was a force to be reckoned with right up til his injury. Didn't exactly look out of place in Sask either.
  11. Or those of us getting up at 5am for work the next day. Thursday home games are the bane of my existence as a season ticket holder.
  12. Rather than go back and 'like' every post individually I'll just say Unknown Poster has got all his facts straight on this one. The most disappointing thing is that this even gets referred to as a debate.
  13. Lawrence was the best part of an awful D last year. Good for him.
  14. I hope it's Cooper Harris! He definitely has a certain charisma... a quick google search reveals he has starred in such films as "Mega Piranha," "Meteor Apocalypse," and the instant classic "Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus!" I found this http://www.winnipegsun.com/2013/12/04/oshea-goes-straight-to-work-building-blue-bombers-coaching-staff, a Penton article from December that mentioned Harris. A son of CFL Hall of Famer Wayne Harris, he's current DC at Fort Hays State University in Kansas. Bio: http://fhsuathletics.com/coaches.aspx?rc=285&path=football
  15. A classy guy who was heavily involved in the community. He was a good Blue Bomber.
  16. If they are mutually exclusive, I'd personally take Willy. Muamba is a beast and would be sorely missed, but we NEED an heir apparent to Hank if we have any hope for 2015 onward.
  17. Salt, meet wound. Thanks Mike.
  18. My biggest knock is that he's got a silly last name. Just imagine all the Willy jerseys in the stands if he is a success! A sea of Willy's. I seem to recall you describing Willy as a 'noodle armed scrub' some time around the Banjo Bowl last year. Is his arm no longer noodley? Or did he show something to change your opinion?
  19. His work on kick cover team would have been sorely missed. He is consistently one of the first guys downfield.
  20. I believe O'Shea is on record saying he would have the coaching staff assembled and announced by Jan31. I don't recall O'Shea saying that, but I remember Rod Peterson stating that on his blog. Yep you're right, that's where it came from. No direct quote, so who knows what O'Shea really did or didn't say.
  21. I believe O'Shea is on record saying he would have the coaching staff assembled and announced by Jan31. But that's O'Shea, I think that's a trick….he'll punt. Maybe a statue of liberty play in his own endzone? The balls on this guy.
  22. I believe O'Shea is on record saying he would have the coaching staff assembled and announced by Jan31.
  23. I plan to move up a price level from P6 balcony to P5 North endzone seats... I had a lot more fun wandering the lower bowl than I did sitting in my seats at this new stadium, but it's nice not having to climb the stairs when I do decide to grab a seat.
  24. Need a dislike button.
