  1. ...we would have done something you don't recall seeing happen at a professional football game ever in all the years you've watched football? Nice. Act like a bunch of college kids. Got it. They will surely listen to us then. Less to do with age, more to do with era. Surely a pro football team can get past the macho BS of the past millenia and settle this like professionals; on the field, between whistles. Make them pay with their playoff cheques. I will give you this much @BigBlue, if we were up 2 or 3 scores and the game was well in hand, I'd have loved to see someone take that guy down a notch. Thankfully these Bombers are wiser than you or I obviously are.
  2. Just going with the hot hand. That's two wins in a row for the big fella and he did beat the best team in the league (us), they just hope and pray he can do it again infront of a fired up and angry crowd. I have my doubts, I'm sure 30,000+ of us will have something to say about it this weekend
  3. That was #67, Kolankowski. Kola threw Oliveira aside at first and Oliveira once again got infront of him, likely helping prevent a retaliation penalty. #53, Neufeld, was running to the refs and pointing his fingers. Watch the replay at 7:49 and tell me I'm wrong. https://www.cfl.ca/2023/09/04/recap-saskatchewan-32-winnipeg-30/
  4. New Standup on Netflix from Shane Gillis... if you love stand-up go watch it right now. He's just so funny. The Australian Goth. Republican werewolf. Trying to remain a patriot after visiting George Washington's slave dungeon. He closes with one of his incredible Trump impressions. The guy is a riot. He has a free show on YouTube if you are unfamiliar. Watch this one, too!
  5. I'd love for you to provide a single example of a football team retaliating against a player that emphasizes your point. Name one instance of a tough guy football team getting their star player messed with, followed by the team retaliating on the field, followed by 'earned respect' or their players otherwise no longer being messed with. Can you do that? I sincerely doubt it. Maybe you'll have to keep referring to an entirely different sport, and a player that retired a quarter-century ago.
  6. Channel the anger and frustration into beating the man in front of you and making them regret crossing the line. This is sport, not gang turf, we settle things on the scoreboard. Maybe we should be more like BC and meet them in the parking lot? Maybe we could be like TOR and go fight in the stands? MOS syndrome? You mean, least penalized team in the league year in year out? Thats not weakness, that's net yardage, that's winning a game of inches. Discipline.
  7. The league can't wait on injuries to happen before taking action. We can't have headbutting going on after the whistle, that's for lame soccer
  8. Exactly how many yards in retaliation penalties before you're acting like a real man? It's called discipline, something our team prides itself on. Best revenge is laying 50 points on them this weekend
  9. It was a 10 yard penalty and come on, they just went up over 2 scores in the dying minutes of the LDC off a passing play made by a running back, that's worth celebrating. I thought it was fun. Next time, maybe they should just pretend they have a hammer and avoid the penalty.
  10. Closest I can think of offhand is actually Andrew Harris giving Simoni Lawrence a little tap to the grill in the 2019 GC (I have it set to play at 0:49 right before the headbutt): This is nothing compared to what happened to ZC. Nowhere near as violent, and it's not like Simoni didn't see it coming and maybe even expect it. ZC was just standing there, defenseless and at ease.
  11. I agree. We are missing guys like Hansen and Miller, 2 heavy hitters on teams. The Panzer and the GOAT have big cleats to fill
  12. I said when it happened I'd press charges! Where does overenthusiasm cross the line into straight up assault? I don't think we are being dramatic here. That was violent and totally outside of the game. My blood boils in the checkout at Costco and I barely ever headbutt other people
  13. Brady - Always on, give him the rock more Wolitarsky - TD to get us back in it, probably makes the grab in OT if the ball doesn't get tipped (that's the thing about balls tipped at the LoS... we'll never know) Holm - Coverage so good it draws challenges, and a TFL to boot HH - The fans for sticking it out and repping the good guys til the bitter end
  14. Hodge: I'm taking the Riders and here's why *fart noises* ...dead air... Abbott: That is a SHOCKING pick considering Jake Dolegala is the starting QB
  15. It's been my desktop wallpaper since the day I first saw it. Just a perfectly captured moment.
  16. Tidbits courtesy of bluebombers.com and our man Ed Tait: https://www.bluebombers.com/2023/09/02/game-preview-labour-day-classic-2/ *Note: a win this weekend would clinch a playoff spot for the Blue Bombers for a seventh straight season, their longest run since a 17-year streak ended in 1997. - Zach Collaros is 6-0 in his career in Labour Day Classic games – 3-0 during his days in Hamilton, 1-0 in his one season in Saskatchewan and 2-0 in Winnipeg. In those games has a 13:3 TD-to-interception ratio while passing for 300 yards three times and over 400 yards in 2015 while with the Ticats. - The Blue Bombers are 24-3 against West Division clubs since 2021. - A victory in Regina this weekend would give the Blue Bombers a winning record on the road for the third consecutive season, matching a mark last set from 1960-62. These are the good times, folks. I hope you are all savoring them.
  17. Danny and Buck's was an awesome restaurant! Buck hosted trivia nights for a short while, and he was always smiling and happy to make time for fans. They had a really good Louisianna style fried chicken sandwich with hot sauce that put other restaurants to shame. I'd go get one rfn if I could.
  18. I just associate Kelly's 'big-league' attitude with the 'big-league' city of Toronto. More glitz and glamour, perceived or otherwise
  19. No, but that doesn't stop Kate from trying to tell jokes or Milt and Sanchez from pantomiming tackles when they could be breaking down plays. I think the CFL game itself is why people watch, all the rest is fluffy garnish between whistles. Ask me if I think a legendary football player and parent of an active high profile CFL player in the stands is a noteworthy oddity that doesn't happen all the time and is worth noting (if only briefly), then I say yes. I wouldn't be offended by Jim Jeffcoat stopping by IGF, getting a minute of face time between whistles and another quick shot of him waving in the crowd. @Geebrr Would you be offended?
  20. Oh that is odd, my eyes glaze over during those segments, I must have assumed dad was actually Jim. So TSN cameras can spot distant relations to relevant footballers in the crowd, but get faked out by RPO half the time. Oi.
  21. You find it odd they keep panning to Jim Kelly, 5-time pro bowler and former NFL passing leader?
  22. Facing reality and accepting that he can still be a big fish in a small pond is the best thing he could have done. Good for TOR and good for the CFL, we need QBs that can play
  23. It's almost enough to make one believe in karma. The aide playing it off as reporters needing to speak up is what gets me... she knows, everyone knows something is wrong and they keep shoving him up there infront of the cameras. Pretty soon he'll be wearing shades while security puppeteers his limbs, Weekend at Mitch's style
  24. https://www.msnbc.com/msnbc/watch/mcconnell-appears-to-freeze-when-asked-about-re-election-191901765902 Old Glitch McConnell is freezing up at pressers again. He's clearly sick and something is seriously wrong.
