Back in 2019 Hamilton posted a video of Brett Favre cheering them on leading up to the the Grey Cup, making it look like he was a fan. But really, it was a cameo... there is a service called cameo where you can pay bored celebrities hundreds of dollars to record personalized messages. So this time around they paid Ice Cube (famous rapper) to leave them a message and the Bombers are trolling them for paying for celebrity shoutouts again. There, I'm not old as dirt yet -

To Nye's credit, he did pick us to beat the Riders last week. Among CFL.ca writers only Jim Morris chose the Riders -
I look forward to the day the truth seekers and freedom fighters say "I think that's enough calling people nazis on twitter for today, maybe now I'll go sit down with a doctor or nurse and get another opinion" but I suspect the sun will actually set in the East first

https://3downnation.com/2021/12/08/theres-some-very-passionate-conversations-bombers-mike-oshea-deals-with-player-vaccinations-individually/ “You’re dealing with humans and there’s some very passionate conversations in the office. I’m not talking about hammering players that you have to do this, you’re listening to the players, you get a sense of where they’re coming from,” O’Shea said. “When a player is not able to play for whatever reason, what comes to my mind is the person, what they’re feeling and the turmoil that they’re going through,” O’Shea said. “He wasn’t able to travel.” O'Shea takes a much more sympathetic tone than I do, that's for sure. -

I had to look it up, Bryant came to us in 2015 and Neuf in 2013 -
Had to be done. No coming back from that one, not at that level of an organization

Who's being hostile to who? The Zoo said they needed proof of vax and they are still getting it from these... "people" on twitter right now. Comparing them to nazis, telling them they will 'suffer the consequences', accusing them of hurting children with their actions... a lot of self described freedom fighters and truth seekers being publicly nasty to a not-for-profit's social media account. How do I reach out to these people without coming across as condescending or hostile? Are they even listening to anyone that doesn't immediately agree that this is discrimination or fascism?

We all could be wrong haha. No I'm sorry, I don't have a source, I'm simply applying what I do know about viruses (albeit plant viruses)

Yes indeed lol. I think he knew Pearl Harbor happened in 41 so he thought that must be when the war started. This was a coworker of mine... we gave eachother wide berth and only talked about music or the weather the rest of the season, much easier that way.

Now again I'm not an epidemiologist but from what I understand, as the strains get more infectious (Omicron) they become less lethal. Meaning to say that the more it mutates the more it 'dilutes' it's own lethality. This is a virus, it wants to live and spread in us, not kill us. So if our current vaccines are only effective against previous strains, it stands to reason the strains it may not effective against will be less lethal. So no, I don't think we'll have to go to square one if Omicron or later strains start to break out in vaccinated areas. Time will tell.

I was responding to Tiny on where I think we can go from here. Vaccine passports are part of that.

I recall being very concerned about O-Liners from Saskatchewan, still feeling a bit gunshy after Labatte. Worked out great in the end though -
I feel that the vaccination passport is great. Even better would be if it were combined with our driver's license so that it is one card for all purposes. People without medical exemptions who choose not to be vaccinated would then also be choosing not to be able to participate in events or functions that require vaccination. Businesses should be able to require proof of vaccination even if there are no public health orders requiring that they do so. Now, I've said this out loud and been called a fascist and was told if I did not study history I would be doomed to repeat it. I asked what specifically they meant and they said I was promoting Nazism, and said I was as bad as those that wanted Jews to wear stars on their jackets. I then asked that person if they were such a history expert when did world war 2 start? They said 1941. These are not smart people.
-
Ever heard of the Manhattan Project? Put the world's smartest people in a room together and in enough time they will figure out how to split the atom. Get all the worlds best epidemiologists together in a room and they can tackle a novel virus. It's not that crazy to imagine a concentrated effort involving the entire world's scientific community can have some amazing breakthroughs in less time than seems possible to people who aren't epidemiologists

Honest answer is I don't expect them to get vaccinated at this point. There is no vaccine hesitancy any more, there is only anti-vaxx, We appeal to their decency, their common sense, they call us sheeple. We show them the science accepted by the CDC, the WHO, any credible organization, and they show us discredited videos of doctors telling lies on right wing social media. The two sides are not equal. There are two camps: Camp 1: vaccinated people and people with legitimate health reasons that prevent them from getting vaxxed, Camp 2: anti-vaxxers I don't care how you feel about the vaccine, so long as you get vaccinated. If you are anti-vax you are wrong and your message is dangerous.
-
LOL. Except unvaxxed people are taking up valuable ICU beds and sucking up resources resulting in a backlog of surgeries, the impacts of which will be felt in this province for years to come. Could be avoided if people did what was right for all of us, not just what was right for them. So no, they are not just as bad. He is not at all credible to me, no. I don't claim to understand the science at all, but it's much easier for me to believe thousands of doctors across the world are working to help us, not hurt us. He goes against that grain. If over 60% of vax recipients DID suffer from blood clots our hospitals would be overflowing with blood clot patients. Instead, our hospitals are filled with COVID patients, most of whom at this point are unvaxxed. That's all I need to see at this point. The guy is a quack and was removed from YouTube for being a quack. Misinformation is dangerous. My dad needs surgery, along with thousands of other Manitobans. He can't get it because ourhealthcare system is under water. And we're gonna act like it's okay for people to continue promoting anti-vax or vax-skepticism... nah, F that.
-
He said over 60% of people who received the vaccination experienced blood clots.
-
Sorry for my part in cluttering things here but I feel it's important to speak up against this vaccine resistance bullshit. There is virtually no good reason to not get vaxxed. There is next to no excuse at this point and no number of rumble videos, 4chan articles or Rebel media soundbites will convince me anti-vaxxers are rational thinkers.

Okay then we are now discussing degrees of selfishness. If I have 2 pieces of cake and keep them both for myself, that's selfish. If I offer up a piece but keep the bigger slice for myself, that's selfish but less so than keeping both. If I generously offer up the big piece, that's being more selfless than selfish. Do we agree or disagree on these basic principles? If not then we won't ever see eye to eye on this.
