  1. What a headache for retailers, given next to no notice. Something had to be done of course... but jeez, as if things aren't hard enough cleaning shelves and tills behind customers, guarding entrances to enforce sanitation, mask use and occupancy... I tried out instacart the other day, rather than going to Costco myself. It's a bit pricey but at this point I'll gladly pay $30 to have someone else spend 2 hours at Costco on my behalf.
  2. Yes, after Reed coughed up 2 first rounders for Johnny Football the Als could use a top pick.
  3. Sorry iHeart, this must be frustrating to watch people act like this is no big deal when real people we know, not faceless numbers, are dying
  4. Celebrating 6 months since the eradication of the virus in the US
  5. https://www.businessinsider.com/sweden-herd-immunity-second-wave-coronavirus-cases-hospitalisations-surge-2020-11 Sweden's chief epidemiologist has admitted that the country is now experiencing a second wave of coronavirus despite predicting that the country's no-lockdown policy would prevent another surge. Herd immunity, no lock down policies... didn't work
  6. Yes, bankruptcy is the only thing I could see preventing him from getting all his money. Even then, he'd likely get some small part of it... but then, the BC Lions will have been liquidated, so there's that to be concerned about...
  7. I don't want my league failing to pay guaranteed money in any circumstance. BC Management should pass the hat around and get Reilly his money. That looks bad on us big time. Salary cap is expected to shrink if we even get another season. How are we to attract/retain quality players if our contracts aren't worth the un-filed napkins they're written on?
  8. I had some doomsday stuff all typed up and ready to post but I thought screw it, why ruin what little optimism you guys seem to have left. We're all going to see soon enough anyways...

  11. Tahiti Treat smuggling may become a thing
  12. Yes it has been a long pandemic
  13. Whoa, I hadn't really been watching PA closely... talk about Flipadelphia! I think Trump was up over 400k yesterday if I recall... now his lead is down to 120k with so many Philly votes yet to be counted... The Gang Saves Democracy
  14. Biden leads in Arizona by 70k with roughly 400k uncounted votes, predominantly from the Phoenix metro area... I'm optimistic Arizona will go to Biden
  15. It looks like Trump's WWE entrance
  16. Best comment in the above article: "It's only cold because of all the thermometers"
  17. Eagerly awaiting a summary of the beautiful health care plan we've been hearing about for three and a half years that will cover everyone and cost less than ACA. How? /shrug
  18. They're gonna knock down all the government buildings and rebuild them with tiny windows - no windows if they could. It will cost one hundred trillion dollars. Ok Trump.
  19. Read those stats as a single game total 😲
  20. Once I was in I was done in 15 minutes. The test itself is unpleasant; they poked the back of my nasal cavity and held it for 5 seconds, I was involuntarily sneezing and tearing up... but that was the worst of it and it was all over in moments. 3-5 days for results due to overwhelming number of tests being done. I'm fortunate to have sick time to pay for this, but I can see how this would be a nightmare for anyone less privileged/well off... I can't agree with it but I would totally understand how anyone would ignore otherwise minor symptoms and choose getting paid over missing time and playing it safe... now, these idiots ignoring minor symptoms and bar-hopping... I'll never be able to understand.
  21. I'm at the pembina testing site. Opens at 9. Got here at about 730... am close to front of the line... there are already about 75 people behind me and the site doesnt open for another hour yet... crazy lines... They are now taking people's phone numbers at the back of the line and sending them home til the lines are shorter... good thing we only have 4 testing sites in the entire city. So glad I don't have to take the bus to get tested.
  22. The wife and I are getting tested today... it would be so easy for me to turn a blind eye and say the symptoms we are experiencing are simply due to the change of season and are typical for people who work in the elements in the fall... but I can't, in good conscience, risk my coworkers and their families until I get a negative test result. Wish me luck... ugh
  23. Ya, Frosty you ought to edit your post, it wasn't King's Head. They are on the ball, they even sell their own KH branded masks
  24. Good omen for potential live events. I miss live shows so f'n much
