I don't think Thomas playing 8 more snaps is a direct result of us losing the last game. It's just such an obvious bad decision that it makes us lose faith that he will ever make a tough decision when needed. The weird roster management with Canadians and playing certain guys like Thmoas decreases our chance of winning. Why not put the best potential players on the field to give us the highest % chance of winning?

I mentioned in the Elks game that those guys were playing hard and very intense despite losing. Our D front 7 on D just doesn't seem to have any oomph outside of Kramdi. The visuals of Thomas being tossed around like a child really doesn't help give the impression of a team that is pushing anyone around.

I don't believe Henderson has had anything with exception of a Wendy's 20 years ago.
-
I don't think Walters is el cheapo and has paid big money for players. What I have noticed lately is that the overall quality of recruitments over the last 3 - 4 seasons has been a large step down from before. We've found some good dbs but elsewhere it's been a whole lot of mediocrity. With O'Shea fixated on starting mediocre guys rather then giving new blood a chance to shine it really feels like this club is squeezing the sponge of the high talent they brought in 5 years ago and eventually once we lose a few more key guys this team really doesn't have the ammo to replace them.

We have hope for Brown in 2027.... unless they extend Zach for another year during this off season.
-
Ouch giving up 50 points to the Ti-Cats, Argos are spiraling.
-
Even still.... they wouldn't move on from Zach until they are mathematically out of the playoffs. As I said before... the ONLY time they will make a big decision is if forced by a serious injury.
-
They choose Schoen over Lawler, it was risky and so far has not paid off.
-
Jimmy John opening soon on Ellice as per reddit.

The positive mid season changes over the last many years seem to be done out of injuries and being forced to try someone new. What really puzzles me is that the few times that they have put in a new guy who showed promise... they immediately go back to plugging the spot back to the old player (Jake Thomas). It shouldn't take a season ending injury to make tweaks on a roster.....

I wouldn't cut Vaughters and have not given up on Willie. The Jake Thomas thing I'm still 100% amazed that he sees the field? When his lone highlight of the season is him being bullied and accidentally falling/rolling into VAJ which resulted in possibly hurting him is depressing. I don't think outright cutting Thomas will completely 180 how they would of played last night... but it is one of the few decisions that is so easy to make with zero risk and all reward. On O the Zach attack is still yuck... I would of liked to have seen Strev in much earlier in the game. Still not excited about that extension. A few people hating on Sterns... he caught nearly everything tossed his way. He's not an issue. Schoen getting hurt and not being the best receiver on the team is a bigger concern. The dice roll on him over Lawler was risky and seems to have been a mistake.

I hope this was a week where the guys were mentally checked out and thinking about that extra week off... I really hope this wasn't a result of low skills and bad coaching. Key word... hope.
-
I was told last week that all the haters were going to be quiet in regards to Zach....
-
So we losing this game I assume?
-
I yearn for the old days when we had a gluttony of guys coming and going on the d-line who could play.
-
I have not watched the Stamps this season, how do they look on D? VAJ is hot and cold, he's very Glenn like in which if you can rattle him early it takes him forever to bounce back.

I believe the original plan called for a few of the skyscrapers having patios at the intersection. I couldn't imagine eating with all that noise and wind. I don't think the fatalities will increase, it won't be as bad as higgins/Logan and main where lots of messed up people attempt to cross the road.

I drove across Portage and Main to and from work on Friday. Visually it does look much nicer then the before with the concrete barriers. On the way to work I drove just past noon and about 10 business folks crossed, on the way back home during rush hour I didn't see anyone crossing . Traffic was very backed up in the morning (I drive off the Disraeli towards Portage and turn right). It was backed up much more then normal and had to wait for a few lights. This was with light traffic. On the way home during rush hour it wasn't any different then normal. I'll be curious to see how things go once the weather turns and traffic is busier. Bonus Note - What's the deal with the big encampment on Disraeli ? I saw a tonne of drunk people , a dude with his dong out taking a wee, a large bonfire.... it looks awful and seems really dangerous. I'm guessing the city has given up?

Well I choose poorly for this week pick'em. That late 2nd quarter INT from Masoli completely killed them. Also a poor gameplan from Benevides tonight, I can see him getting chopped soon. Maier looked lousy IMO, very beatable if a team locked down the Riders run game.

And join a cult?

He tossed some 50 / 50 balls for which our receivers made the big play. A couple of bad breaks and I think more people would be beaking about him losing it....
-
He had one play where he pushed back his o-lineman while being held. Last week he had zero positive plays. That is all. Lawson wasn't exactly lights out himself, but at least he makes a few plays per game when given a chance. It's better then none or one in this case.

They should bring back Dunigan
-
He had a better game last night then the previous week.... let that sink in.

What a dog fight of a game. Edmonton came to play and played very hard on both lines. You can tell the guys are trying hard for Killam and I hope they give him a chance even if they start out 0 - 6 again. Lots of hard tackling and I think mid game it woke up the Bombers and they started to match the intensity. Even with the terrible 3rd quarter it was an entertaining game. Zach looked better, had good protection and made an equal amount of good throws to his bad throws. The old arm I think is failing him and he's still under throwing some deep balls, I hope this is just rust. Tre Ford wasn't nearly as bad as people make him out to be. Had that receiver caught that easy TD it may have changed the outcome of the game. The Bombers did a great job of containing him and mentally I think Ford is weak. In the 3rd and 4th quarter several times he pouted to the refs looking for phantom calls and those 2 deep balls with 4 minutes left were bad decisions. He should be lucky that the refs didn't call the several blatant holds that gave him time in the first half. The last drive he floated some weird throws that were questionable. Still a question mark on the guy but he wasn't nearly as bad as people make him out to be. My 2nd game of watching Jake Thomas.... In the 2nd quarter he had one good rush where he was being held and should of been a call. Other then that... he is a pylon who still gets pushed around. Completely useless. Lawson wasn't that great in the first half but he was the guy that rushed Ford on the Bonds "interception" that was called off. Clercius had a good come back game after a rough outing last week, I hope he gets more involved. Sterns also isn't as bad as people make him out to be, I'm ok with him playing. Vaval with a brutal fumble which could of completely turned the game on us had Kramdi not made that huge play. We had full momentum and his botch killed it completely. Glad it didn't factor in the end.
