  1. Do they have any pics without a green lighting shining on it? It looks like just plain black uniforms with a small amount of green trim?
  2. Not worth the time and effort? They don't to lower the standards of how they broadcast? Maybe the CFL wanted to charge them a large price to broadcast? What big network would ever air a live sport using a janky feed for which they would to pay someone else for the rights to display? If TSN were to show all pre season games then it would have to be done professionally complete with the full staff. If they could do it with only half the staff then they would do that for every game because in the end everything comes down to making money. It's a very silly thing to consider a big business not wanting to air games for any reason outside of making money. If pre season games were to make money then they would do it.
  3. I don't think some folks on here realize just how many people work on a game day production. It isn't just 5 camera guys and two guys in a booth.
  4. Was LaPolice + Kelly guest coaches this year?
  5. I can confirm that Taste of Ukraine in KP is very good. I had the meat lovers bowl on the left and I was beyond full. My European wife can confirm that the cabbage rolls are legit and among the better ones she's ever had. Next time I'll try the potato pancakes and the borscht soup.
  6. I went to at least three locations in three different states and they all look like these photos: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/jimmy-johns-corona This pic below is the most accurate representation of what we had each time. It was extremely bland, reminded me of old Mr Sub. Google searching jimmy john sandwiches you will see many similar to this (many much worse with more lettuce). Now google searching Fire House subs and from the two times I have gone it was a very accurate representation where those sandwiches were comically large with how much they stuff in them. I'll give them a shot when they come here but will go in with low expectations.
  7. I've had Jimmy Johns in the States several times and found it to be significantly worse then Subway and Quiznos. It was extremely bland and on par with what you would get from a gas station sandwich. Each time it was like 90% bun and lettuce with a tiny amount of meat and other toppings. I think the sandwiches were also pre-made and they didn't allow for any customization. Unless Firehouse drastically changes what they serve, they won't see any impact at all. I have not tried Jersey Mikes, will check it out if I'm back in the States this summer.
  8. The insanely high prices for rock bottom quality food and the constant parking of everyone in drive thru is what really pushed us away from going to McDonalds. Thankfully Canada does have much higher standards for food requirements , so what they do serve up here wouldn't be as low quality or as filled with preservatives and junk in comparison to what McD's in the States and what they had in the Super Size documentary. I believe 100% in what he showed in the documentary is true. All of the processed food and crap with preservatives do last a long time which can't be healthy ingesting in the long run.
  9. Watching the rest of the game. I'd like to see Barriere get one quarter... not sure if it's going to happen though. Late in the 2nd half he looked "better" and overall it was a bad showing but he didn't look completely useless like a Boltus or a Brink from back in the day. I think it was a lot of just bad nerves. Wilson looked far more ready after he settled down and from what I saw we need not Pigromes or someone else air lifted to the city asap. Lots of fast moving guys on D, I'm very anxious/excited to see who they keep and if any of these guys can be the next all star to play for the team for a few seasons.
  10. Who is the color guy on that broadcast? Is it Mullinder? That guy needs to get cut ASAP, I'm only half way through watching the game and what he says on air does not represent what is happening on field at all. The PBP guy is nearly as bad. I'm at the part with 52 seconds left in the half where Pipkin runs out of bounds and runs into Jefferson and bounces off of him. PBP guy says Pipkin was hammered by Jefferson and Mullinder is saying a penalty should be called. Jefferson didn't lean into him and was standing upright the whole time with Pipkin just scraping by him and falls down on his own. Also Mullinder at this point is extremely minimizing the errors of the Rider players almost making excuses or pretending that things didn't happen (i.e. great play by a Bomber or a big error on the Rider). I.E. Harris missing Bane by a mile and instead of saying how bad of a pass it was, Mullinder talks about how great of a training camp they have had so far together. Also every Rider has had a great training camp, no rookies have made any mistakes, no veterans need to look over their shoulders, Pipkin is amazing because he made a single throw. Streveler is a running back only as per Mullinder... he only can run he can't throw, he is extremely one dimensional. Mullinder is basically singing the Lego Movie - Everything is awesome song. If I were a Riders fan listening on the radio, I wouldn't be thrilled because you don't actually get any real feedback on who is performing and who is not.
  11. I missed the game, what was the arm strength like for Wilson? Was he rifling or floating balls and how was his mobility/escapability from the rush. I mostly just want to know if he showed enough or is this a case where we need to call Piggy back.
  12. Bighill is far from being a complete write off. He's gone from a A+ player down to a B / B+ which is still really good. People need to stop looking for a player to crap on just for the sakes of having to complain.
  13. It's unfortunate that Carl Weathers passed away , I read somewhere that Tiger Woods will be Happy's mentor for this movie.
  14. She Hulk at least had the memes of her twerking So it did at least bring a form of comedy unintentionally to a large audience.
  15. https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/arts-and-life/food/2024/01/15/delicious-addition-to-polo-park-food-court It should do really well in KP since that food court is very sub par.
  16. With his 5+ yards per carry he will be with the team.
  17. I went to Kildonan Place the other day and noticed that the African restaurant has closed and is being replaced with a "Taste of Ukraine".
  18. Can you translate this into English? I'm trying to decipher what you wrote, I think what you are trying to say is that I like to point out that what people write on here is fantasy/ridiculous and for which it does not apply to the real world outside of the Internet. It is unhealthy for people to be so close minded and so hateful that they can't keep an open mind and live in a society where people are entitled to their own opinion. Mark I believe has said he's a religious person, I wouldn't want him to lose his job because he believes in something that many people do not share the same idealogy as he does. If everyone was afraid to speak their own opinion or had to follow one same thought process then we would have a pretty crappy life. I don't see people in Russia or North Korea loving the fact that they can't speak up or protest.
  19. Is Kramdi the 2024 version of Augustine/Jackson 2023 for which we all crap on because we have to nit pick?
  20. I hear that she has a lovely personality and that is why so many men are fans of her movies!
  21. Barker is an idiot no question about it. On the same note people who are so trigger happy for firing the guy instantly are equally as dumb. You just don't go around firing someone because you don't agree with their opinions, that is close minded. Everyone is entitled to what they believe in, even if it is something far fetched and the majority of people would not agree with. If we are so sensitive on what people say , then why are we not equally sensitive on the actions that people do. Kenny Lawler did something a million times worse then what old man Barker did. The morally right thing to do is fire Lawler and anyone who has a criminal record. In the real world, Barker should get a talk with his TSN HR/management and they'll give the speech saying "as an employee you represent who you work for bla bla bla" and get a warning and everyone moves on. I don't want to live in a world where everyone has to keep quiet and never voice their beliefs, that's a sad place to live in.
