  1. https://www.mashed.com/145296/the-truth-about-arbys-roast-beef/ Pretty much what my friend said... comes in a bag with gel and a squishy "meat" and is then cooked. Maybe the claim of it being pure liquid is a stretch but it's not that far off. This isn't a fresh piece of meat that's roasted and sliced to order. It's some frankenstein meat lol. It's like Subway's claim of chicken.... it's technically mostly chicken but it definitely isn't the normal stuff you get at real restaurants (view marketplace episode for the details).
  2. Well it's not much different from how processed chicken was used to make McNuggets for years. I'd assume cold cuts are the same idea. I remember watching one of those "how is it made" with how they make hot dogs and how they give it a smokey flavour and how it starts as a gray gooey paste and they add color to make it more appetizing.... sometimes ignorance is bliss lol.
  3. No wonder why McMahon wants to cash out before the next time they need to renew tv contracts. Yikes.
  4. I knew a few people who had worked at Arby's years ago..... I don't know about eating meat that came to them in goo form which they then congealed and cooked and pass it off as roast beef. The fries were on point though.
  5. Apparently they are coming down hard on Storm Trooper Rifles LOL.... I'm assuming Lethbridge has never had a comic-con before....
  6. It all makes sense now...
  7. I agree for the most part.... however if we ever draft a skinny white receiver early on I will be skeptical
  8. Sounds like a lot of grey area.... fortunately Trudeau is an expert on this and will make the judgement rather then consulting with others. .
  9. I've shot and handled... never owned and really no reason to. I don't hunt and based on my time playing Rainbow 6 Vegas... I'm more of a shield and pistol guy.
  10. Sadly this made my day...possibly month! The location on Henderson used to be busy all of the time it was surprising that it closed down. The food is light years better then the crap at McD's and BK....
  11. I've had it many times, it's tasty and the lady is absolutely bonkers who owns it. Not very spicy IMO.... I had some really spicy Ethopian food down the street (name escapes me).... now that stuff is deadly.
  12. As I said before.... sick people will find a way to kill (or attempt) with whatever they want. Hammers...chainsaws.....
  13. Well the gun nuts will claim that they like to collect.... Personally (only my opinion), only the Military and law enforcement should have access to these types of guns. I don't believe you need a Call of Duty weapon to gun down a raging moose / bear.....
  14. I said they make up a large majority of our prison population. They don't tend to have assault rifles. So how does banning assault rifles lower the crime rate. You (more so Tracker) made it seem like I'm a racist because I brought up facts and numbers. I just find that weird.
  15. So getting rid of assault rifles will help them how? Will this gun ban drop the aboriginal crime rates? My original point was that no it will not. With those types of gun the organized crime who carries them will just keep smuggling them over the border.
  16. So basically you are agreeing with me with the numbers and that poverty + culture equals higher crime rates? Clearly crime rate would reduce if you removed poverty + cultures that promote crime. Are you saying that if you removed 75% of the criminals from Manitoba that someone else would take their spot? Maybe for organized crime but for all other crime that's a ridiculous statement. I don't understand why you added all those other bullet points, at no point did I place blame on anyone for why crime is high aside from saying culture + poverty. It comes off very weird. Currently we have a very relaxed justice system and based off what you said it clearly is not working since it's a higher repeat offender rate. I gave you an example that people purposely cause crime because they want someone to take care of them during winter months. That shows how relaxed our system is. I'm not sure if the term is snowflake (i'm old) but I don't get why folks like Tracker and Mark H are so terrified about offending despite the numbers showing the truth? It's a dangerous mindset to have. Need to face reality instead of fantasy and being afraid to tackle the truth will never solve anything. Move on from blaming residential schools that was a valid response many years ago, now days it's a totally different reason for why things are the way they are. For the record back in my day I took Grade 12 law and my teacher told us about how it's normal on reserves for parents to pass around their under age daughters around the community for sexual favors and tried to pass that off that it's not a bad thing because that's normal in their culture. Maybe it's my mindset but personally I don't believe that's right... but since my Grade 12 law teacher said so I should accept it?
  17. I'd drink the rootbeer milk.... use it for milkshakes maybe also? Now for the rumour that I hope the t-cona folks on here can confirm.... New Wendy's opening up on Regent and Plessis??? This end of town is sadly without Wendys after both of them closed down
  18. Running from his wife that is
  19. Slur? Lol google it you clearly have no clue what you are talking about. Google demographics of Manitoba jails. I won't bother engaging anymore as you clearly are out there.
  20. I can't believe how low the ratings are going for Raw and Smackdown. How low will it go?? Will old school (attitude era) wrestling will come back?
  21. He could ban all the guns in the world... it still won't change the massive amount of weapons being smuggled over the border. Unnnnnnless he builds a giant wall
  22. Lol clearly you have not worked or spoke with anyone in law enforcement. Once again Holland is not the same as Canada.... totally apples to oranges comparison. If Canada did not have Aboriginals and refugees our crime numbers would be drastically lower. Not the same comparison. It would blow your mind if you knew the truth and how many time people re-offend. It's insane. Do yourself a favour and speak with someone in law enforcement or in the court system. You would not like to hear what they would say.
  23. That's why I said part is culture and part is poverty. Their is such minor consequences for committing crimes in Canada that the risk reward is just to much to pass up for petty criminals. The jails are so soft that some prefer to go to jail then to be out. I have met people who purposely get arrested for the winter months so they have somewhere warm and with high quality meals! I don't want to cite extremes but the numbers show that the crime rate and re-offending rate at places that are very strict are extremely low. I can't imagine Canada doing this ever, but instead of shaking a finger and fining someone 20 dollars and put them in jail where they eat better then many working Canadians..... it would be nice to make people fear going to prison instead of looking forward to it. Also Australia isn't a fair comparison... it's a super racist country (just watch the videos of them treating Chinese locals in regards to the Corona) and it's 90% white. Totally different culture make up to Canada. Not to open up a can of worms but in Manitoba alone 75% of the prison population is aboriginal and a large portion of the rest are refugees from bad countries. Not an apples to apples comparison.
  24. Lol not true at all, are you suggesting that all organized crime goes around stealing registered guns and commit crimes? What you see or read in the media is a minuscule amount of the crime that is committed around the country. Your head would spin if you knew how much more f'd up stuff happens and it isn't reported. Most killings? Not exactly true while I assume their is more manslaughter then 1st degree murders committed.... for the most part in Canada most 1st degree murders the people would of murdered with or without gun or would of found a way to get a gun. If a nut job wants to go down guns blazing they will find a way. I would believe that culture and poverty are way larger factors in why some places have way more people gunned down then others. Fortunately Canada is a great place and overall anyone can live a good life even if they don't have a tonne of money. You can't compare the States with Canada or Australia they are not similar at all. Australia is a beautiful country and I know several people who moved down under and financially it's way more stable. Go to Mexico or South America and poverty equals way more unnecessary murders via high powered guns. If those countries were to ban guns it would do jack squat. As I said before personally I don't have any interest in guns and owning one so I could care less if they ban them all. Banning these guns will not impact the crime numbers in Canada at all and for the most part just impact the gun enthusiasts. If Trudeau wants to lower crime the whole justice system would need to change with stiffer penalties, way more liberties removed from jails, and maybe bringing back the death penalty. Which clearly he never would push for.
