  1. How dare the guy do his due diligence and weigh out his options!
  2. In fairness... MBT also put up a tonne of garbage time stats after his opponents were up by a large score and playing a soft defense.
  3. I wonder why SJ Green requested his release? The thought of Nichols throwing no balls his way scared him away?
  4. I think this will also happen, Nichols will get hurt and MBT will take over....
  5. Also when the wise up guys park or picket with signs saying slow down photo radar ahead.... they always tend to get in trouble for doing this. Same goes when study after study shows that extending the yellow light considerably cuts down on accidents and people running the red lights....
  6. I did like on the Nichols highlight that the biggest play he made was the roughing the passing penalty he took lol.
  7. Normally I would disagree with this statement... however he seemed to be a pretty big family man so I don't think the allure of going somewhere with the big night life really factors in his decision.
  8. I just don't see how it succeeds? Back in the day when XFL first launched they had red hot wrestling to promote it which would pull a tonne of their target demographic crowd over. They had gimmicks which at least made it seem to be an edgier football product. They had good tv and better football players. I don't see how they succeed this time around when WWE has 50+ year old audiences who are already entrenched with their own favorite NFL clubs, watered down players, no gimmicks, way more competition for entertainment... Also while football has had a good past two seasons.... previous to that the NFL was worried because they were on a downward trend with an aging audience losing big time fans going over to the NBA. Vince has a tonne of cash to blow, but for his one success (wrestling) he's failed miserably at everything else.
  9. If it were that easy then the AAFL or Arena would still be in business.... I think Vince mistakes the amount of interest the XFL actually has. I wonder what crazy ideas he will have mid season when ratings tank and he goes into desperation mode to get them up?
  10. The original XFL at least had a chance since at that time they had a lot of potential cross over fans from the WWE. They had some good ideas and at least the roster had more NFL cast offs that casuals may recognize.
  11. I don't see how it makes money... when was the last "new league" or sport been successful? UFC 15 years ago?
  12. Watch Calgary signs him and he looks like an immediate all star....
  13. This !!!! Other teams chewed up the field on us with quick/mid slants and we rarely ever called any plays for them.
  14. I'm pretty sure no one can debate that pre injured Nichols that he was lights out. After the first injury he dropped down a notch, and after the 2nd injury he took another significant step back.... now after a 3rd injury it gives the Blue good reason to being hesitant on throwing money at him. If Nichols wasn't banged up and playing at the level he did when he first arrived then I don't think anyone would of fussed about giving him 500 k.
  15. I wonder where he ends up? I wouldn't write him off just yet.
  16. Based on what I've learned by reading these boards.... Toronto will not be able to sign WJ since they have invested way to much at the QB position
  17. Nothing is as Canadian as the Brazilian and American owned Tim Hortons
  18. Forget not Willie took less money to come to Winnipeg then staying in Regina. Even if Toronto throws a higher number... I won't assume that he automatically will take it. Maybe the Blue offer a longer deal with more guaranteed money. I'm not assuming he's gone just yet.
  19. All I know is that had we traded Buff in the last few years we would of received a whole **** load of goods coming back and now we will be getting nothing
  20. I thought in the last few years it was the performers who pay to appear as the Super Bowl half time show?
  21. I found the ending of the Super Bowl more entertaining, but the game was a snore fest. The Grey Cup was far more entertaining in its on field action.
  22. MTS may bundle it... but I think the trend will still continue with a massive amount of people cutting the cable service. Most devices are very user friendly, can stream most apps, can self update and are helluva a lot cheaper. From my circle of friends/co-workers I think the ones who have kept cable are mostly doing it for sports. Now that streaming online has improved so much in the last year or so.... if TSN ever decides to focus on streaming... it'll really hurt the providers. I remember at one point it was said that land line phones will never fade away.... now I can't think of any of my friends who has a land line. Even some businesses are going purely cell.....
  23. What I learned from watching this game is that the Grey Cup was more entertaining and I appreciate how focused our Blue were compared to the 49ers. After the 2nd interception the 49er players were posing in the end zone and "acting" up and at that point I realized they were going to lose. Totally unfocused, the coaches kept getting overly emotional whenever a call didn't go the way they wanted. Made me appreciate how good of a job O'Shea has done with this club.
  24. Yes but that isn't for the mass market though. As every where *gradually* upgrades to high speed network , more and more people will cut the cable. I suppose MTS could make up for the loss by increasing the internet package prices.
  25. Since F N F has gone over the top the movies have been making a tonne of money. I'm just curious how this one does without Statham and The Rock.....
