Man that depth is very weak... time to bring in Burmistrov and other rejects
-
Good on them! I wonder how bad it will get when Portage Place closes down .... that food court has riff raff that practically live there throughout the week.
-
Why the Fack would Derek Taylor put the Bombers so low, I'd understand if he made it obvious that he was joking... but he didn't. Even Pederson wouldn't be that ********...
-
Wrong and wrong. ZC - I thought he was done when we got him, definitely. But I was very big on him after his time in Toronto and kept posting about how I wish the Bombers would make a move for him. I was a huge fan of his talent. Even at this point I want them to sign ZC , but only as a stop gap until Strev (or McGuire) are ready to take over which I don't think neither are at this point. I've never doubted his abilities to play, his ability to take a hit this I'm still not sure about. My opinions on Nichols, it's not an opinion when the facts speak for themselves. I posted facts about how much his passing game has diminished since his original injury. It's not my opinion when he gets pressured and falls apart if his dump off to Harris isn't available. It's not my opinion when he clearly stinks up the joint and then make zero mention of him not being able to make the passes needed to win and instead uses other excuses. Quick look at his stats when he joined us and look at his stats since his first injury. Also let me know what his play off record win/loss is compared to ZC? I've never said Nichols is a locker room cancer kind of guy, but to make him out as some leader that motivates and brings up the locker room.... I've never seen this. Sometimes a player is done, I remember back during Khari's final playing days with us it was crystal clear that the guy was done as a QB. Though some fans still fantasized about him being the same guy as he was in his glory days and it was just sad watching him on the field. It's the same with Nichols. At this point Nichols should not be the franchise guy, he's a short term solution or a good veteran back up to keep on the roster.

I've heard about him being a hard worker and a team player, I have not heard much about him being a team leader. I may be wrong but I can't remember tsn showing clips of him before the game firing up the club. I've seen multiple clips of Harris doing so. I have seen myself several interviews on tv and on radio where he was not accountable for his poor play. And it's noticeably different attitude when ZC and Strev are at the helm compared to Nichols.

If we are talking about leadership and rallying the troops.... Nichols absolutely succcccccccccccks compared to Streveler for that aspect. Anytime Strev goes into the game it's a noticeable jump in the steps of the players. While I don't think the locker room hates him by any means, he has done more then once in his time here not accept the blame and placed it on everything else aside himself. I'd say the players hold ZC in much higher regard because he was more humble. MBT is a weirdo, but I don't think he was ever looked upon as a Duron Carter cancer in the locker room type of guy. He's just more in outer space and my only concern would be if he would follow directions. My order of preference would be ZC , Arbuckle, Masoli , MBT, Nichols and at that point if they can't get any of those guys roll with Strev and McGuire.

Maybe he'll double his production and hit 18 yards this season lol
-
In fairness the guy came in as a back up and won the job and did well despite playing on a complete dumpster fire of a team. More then likely he will surpass Nichols this season if he continues with the same kind of production as he had last season.

The beginning of Solo was slow, the rest was a very good movie. Under rated.

What's riskier... guy who played a few real good games and declined as teams had more film on him..... or perennial all star and former MOP. It's not like BLM looked completely done.
-
I don't see them moving on from BLM, maybe if Arbuckle plays more this season with the same success do they then make the switch. To risky to move on from him now.

I don't think the love of Streveler is as high as NorthernSkunk thinks it is. I think a lot of the casuals like his gimmick (cigar smoking fur coat guy), most of the Blue fans are optimistic but would be way more excited if ZC was signed as the starter. I don't think anyone hates Nichols (me included) but most of us are ready to move on. If he were to come back I don't think people would think it's the end of the world... more of delaying the inevitable of him being replaced mid season or the next year.

Great signing... need these kind of guys moving forward.

It was pretty obvious that Demolition was a knock off of the Road Warriors.

The way Rian ruined Luke alone is enough for him to be forever hated. How do you f up Luke Skywalker?

He was on 1290 this afternoon and did not say this. He said that he was lucky to come into Calgary with an already established BLM. He did say that BLM won his first MOP while working under himself though. He said he was humbled coming to Calgary because he thought he knew so much but after spending time with DD and Huff that he grew and continually is learning. Dinwiddie came off ok on the radio interview but yikes he may be facing an impossible challenge. He basically said that he isn't familiar with the coaching staff and the players on the team and that his plan is to bring exciting football (on the offense) to help bring the Argos fans out to the games. Sounds like he's coming in blind and will evaluate and make decisions once he looks at the staff and the players. He desperately will need Claybrooks or someone else to help carry the load for the team.

From what I heard on shoot interviews online is that on nxt they rehearse the complete matches days before they actually do them. That kind of stuff just makes it so dull to watch.

Where's Jimmy Hart... they can get him to do what he did in WCW by ripping off popular music and only changing a few notes lol

2019-20 Grey Cup Champs Off-season discussion.
Brandon replied to Wanna-B-Fanboy's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Not looking good for the Als.... it will look bad on them going back to the guys that they sent home already... -
Both are much watch movies no question about that, my original post I was trying to say the theater experience with Matrix would be much better. The special effects and the fight scenes are awesome on a big screen.
-
Nah that was simply him hanging onto the ball a tad to long and getting smacked from behind. A better example would be one of the plays where he's rolling out of the pocket at a glacially slow speed and then ends up crumbling once he faces some pressure.
-
His frame does not help him with taking hits. The guy is build more like an accountant then a football player. Some folks are simply more accustomed to getting hurt easier then others. Look at Reilly taking an absolute **** kicking last season and he lasted longer then all the other qbs. He's a big solid dude so he can absorb more punishment.
-
The last two off seasons all we heard was about how Matt Nichols has worked out heavily and *bulked* up and how he's working hard to get bigger and faster. The guy just isn't physically able to take the punishment. On that play it wasn't necessarily his issue with mobility... just held onto the ball to long.
