One of the studios will budge.... no reason to split the same fan base on two movies on the same weekend. That being said head to head Matrix 4 easily wins out for the one to see in the theater first.
-
Moving forward even with Streveler.... guys like Lawler and Bailey will *help* him by actually making plays and going for the ball rather then running lazy routes. I actually have faith in these guys on those 50/50 throws.

The Friesen article really hammers in how much respect the players do have for O'Shea. I wouldn't be opposed for them to sign him to a big contract for 5+ years.
-
I brought this up earlier on the board with Farhan telling 1290 this and the response on here is that he doesn't know anything and that 1290 is garbage and that people on here know more........ 🙄 I definitely don't see people over paying for the guys available this season. It doesn't make sense and our club is a great example of showing that with a mediocre qb you can build a good win loss record and have your defense carry you into the play offs.
-
Everyone is looking for a raise.... only Ottawa would be desperate enough to pay him anything more then what he made with us.
-
Had he not played the year before and shown really well then I think a whole bunch of people would be writing him off. That first season when given plays where he can pass the ball he did show very well.
-
I also remember when people were super excited about Dom Davis when he came out of Calgary......

McGuire

No the accurate reponse was that he was playing teams that gave him zero pressure, that were terrible in standings and as the season went on and he started playing against teams with more talent he struggled. When teams started isolating on the old dump off to Harris.... Nichols could not push the ball or make plays on his own.
-
And yet again we bring up Bishop going 12- 0 ....... Or we can bring up Reilly's won loss record for last season. Ignoring his salary ...would you take Nichols over Reilly?
-
Does anyone think we should go with Arbuckle (starter salary) and McGuire as our tandem? Cut ties with the rest?

Yes but people seem to think LaPo and Zach were THE only ones who factor this in. Completely ignoring the fact that every player has this.

Against **** competition... once he started playing against real defenses look what happened. Also it's typical for Offenses to click earlier before a defense will gel. Before he was hurt people on here were calling for Strev to replace him for the 2nd year in a row....
-
ZC showed that he can take a hit while playing with us.... Nichols can barely get touched without looking crippled these days.

So much depends on the OC and the team situation. Nichols on a team without a premium o-line will get killed. Masoli however playing on a LaPo team would be terrible because the guy only is successful when he rolls out and throws mid-deep out of the pocket. Nichols should go to Ottawa (assuming they spend big on o-line), Masoli should stay in Hamilton, ZC should stay in Winnipeg, MBT should stay in Toronto. Arbuckle I guess could compete either in Toronto or Ottawa but I don't think he's worth starter money just yet. That would the best for each of the players and how they play.
-
Completely different kind of players... The one thing about MBT which would be nice is that we wouldn't have to take a deep breath if someone gets a clean hit on him. If I'm Ottawa I'd be looking at him as a possible stop gap for the next few seasons. He's definitely an upgrade over Jennings and Davis.
-
The coaches dumped MBT when we had him in the past.... not sure if they go back on that road. MBT at this point is a stop-gap QB for a team dealing with an injury. Mentally the guy is all over the place.
-
Which one of the two is a grey cup winning QB? If we are comparing full careers then clearly ZC would be the more established QB.
-
As per merriam webster the definition when speaking of a person is: successful for a long period of time and widely known I think it's debatable on him being touted as a more established QB then ZC. If we're talking in the last 3 years then yes... but if we're talking about full career then ZC would be looked upon as the more successful established QB.
-
At least this puts an end on the ridiculous posts about him not playing here because his wife has a job. That was pathetic. Just like how LaPo won't move away unless his wife gave him permission kind of crap. Clearly ZC is a way better option then Nichols. Both guys are one hit away from missing serious time, but with ZC I'd think it's a lesser of a chance since Nichols is so bloody slow and appears to fall apart if he gets any sort of contact on him. This will be interesting to see how it shakes out.

Swaggerville also had a lot of unnecessary penalties. -

Because you want to see our offense throw 20 yard passes even if we are winning by 10 + points.... -
