1290 had McIntyre on the radio and he blew off the rumors pretty quick once Westwood questioned him on it. Me thinks McIntyre may have made the post to get some eyes and really it's not something the Jets are really looking at.

Nothing is wrong with being different from the WWE. Back in my day ECW was completely different from WWE and it was absolutely a blast to watch. It wasn't the normal pro wrestling shtick but it was damn entertaining.

Way to early to close the book on them, how about we give them at least 5 - 8 games before proclaiming it's dead.

3.3 million for the first game..... compared to 14 million for the first game with the original XFL..... the AAFL had 2.9 million..... this is not good news for the XFL.

You don't think the issue was more so that we ran heavy and the original QB was scared to throw to his open receivers and checked down to Harris non stop? Our Canadians are light years better then crap like Rory Kohlert, Kito Poblah , Brock Ralph.... Our Americans are better then crap like Aaron Kelly, washed up Romby Bryant and a whole bunch of one and done guys. To say our receivers are a mess is quite the exaggeration. At the end of the season / play off run when we had a QB throwing to our receivers... did you really see Lawler and Bailey dropping balls left and right? Same throughout the season with our Canadians.. I'm not saying the receivers are the best in the league but to say they are a mess.... not close at all. Same goes with the DB's.... we rotated a tonne of them throughout the year with mixed results.... the guys we brought in late in the year seemed to all gel and played well above average.

The same receiving core that won a grey cup is a mess? While I won't say our receivers and dbs are world beaters... they are far from being a mess.

Big time upgrade for him, depending on his age he may even have a decent pension....

Rob Brown was on that list.... how that guy could go from scoring 100+ points in the NHL to being stuck in the AHL scoring 100+ points was always a mystery to me...

Also when the wise up guys park or picket with signs saying slow down photo radar ahead.... they always tend to get in trouble for doing this. Same goes when study after study shows that extending the yellow light considerably cuts down on accidents and people running the red lights....

Normally I would disagree with this statement... however he seemed to be a pretty big family man so I don't think the allure of going somewhere with the big night life really factors in his decision.

I just don't see how it succeeds? Back in the day when XFL first launched they had red hot wrestling to promote it which would pull a tonne of their target demographic crowd over. They had gimmicks which at least made it seem to be an edgier football product. They had good tv and better football players. I don't see how they succeed this time around when WWE has 50+ year old audiences who are already entrenched with their own favorite NFL clubs, watered down players, no gimmicks, way more competition for entertainment... Also while football has had a good past two seasons.... previous to that the NFL was worried because they were on a downward trend with an aging audience losing big time fans going over to the NBA. Vince has a tonne of cash to blow, but for his one success (wrestling) he's failed miserably at everything else.

If it were that easy then the AAFL or Arena would still be in business.... I think Vince mistakes the amount of interest the XFL actually has. I wonder what crazy ideas he will have mid season when ratings tank and he goes into desperation mode to get them up?
