Collaros didn't completely suck with his last few teams. He had injury issues but wasn't completely terrible. Also when we did bring him in it wasn't like we had a whole lot of other options since it was mid season and luckily Toronto flipped him to us. Are you really going to compare Kilgore with Collaros??

Nichols didn't completely suck with Edmonton , some folks were surprised that they demoted him because of his play. Are you really going to compare Kilgore with Nichols??

Nelson was a better returner then Whitehead and had better hands at receiver. Maybe and hopefully Whitehead wasn't used properly and he can become our own Banks (minus the whining)

Once again .... I'd way rather have growing pains with McGuire then Jennings. I'm pretty sure at this point if we want a qb who will toss random passes into double coverage that any random qb could do the same. I don't understand the fascination of bringing in someone new who has zero knowledge of our system and guys and who completely sucked with their last team.

Why the hell would we bring in crap like Kilgore or Davis who have shown that they suck and cannot amount to anything? I'd way rather play McGuire and experience the growing pains then to waste time with guys who have never shown anything. I'd be ok with MBT since he has at least shown that he can perform at times.

Nelson was better then Whitehead... that being said I'd like to see Whitehead get a 2nd chance with Pierce as the OC.

I prefer the older guys who reference someone from the 70s/80s and thinks that the starting qb and head coach should be canned because of losing one game. They then reference other team players/coaches usually pronouncing the names completely wrong and says that they are elite and ones that we should get....

Who cares about how he speaks? Frigg did anyone listen to Willie Jefferson interviews.... every two seconds he had a long ugggggggggggggggggghhhhh and uggggggggggggghhhhh but the guy could play and it wasn't like he was completely brain dead on the field. Lets give Buck the benefit of the doubt, judge the guy if he calls shitty plays and if the team runs a vanilla offense.... don't judge him because he's a crappy interview.

I'm not sure if the Nichols is upset article has any truth/merit to it. Lets say it is true, then is this really a surprise. I've pointed out numerous times over the last two seasons where Nichols has not accepted any blame and likes to pass the buck when it comes to his own poor play. He's not a Duron Carter level diva, but he has shown in the past that his emotions gets the best of him and I have not listened to an interview after a rough outing where he lumps the team in playing not well rather then saying he had a poor performance and needs to be better himself. I don't give an F if his feelings are hurt... if it's all about loyalty and wanting to win then why not accept a back up salary with performance bonuses in order to stay with the Blue and Gold?

The guys up front really determine whether Hall's defense will work or not... I liked our LB crew from last season and I don't think we will have a massive drop off on the d-line even with Jefferson leaving. I'm ok with Hall staying.

Would Claybrooks want to coach this season and not collect his pay cheque and take a break?

Costanza is a good pick up, more veteran staff that Pierce can lean on...

It only makes sense for him to have Toronto and Ottawa bid up each other and cash in on a bigger pay day.

McGuire showed enough in pre season for me to have some faith in the guy. Forget not Bennett also showed well and played ST and yet McGuire was kept over him.

I think the only glimmer of hope if you wanted Arbuckle with us would be if Toronto signs away Zach..... otherwise ....

The defense last year was much better then this year.... if only we could have a time machine and could of sent Buff off at the trade deadline last year..... need some assets to trade for quality D or at least could of used the cap space to buy one.

The fight would draw a tonne of eyes from the casual fans. The fight itself would be probably a more boring repeat of the Khabib - McGregor fight.

It's the talent on defense... things would be much different if we had 2 extra regular NHL d-man instead of playing waiver wire and AHL fodder players.......

The Romero title shot is also a joke, but alas it's all about the money like you said. Now if they want a super fight which will draw a lot of money.... why not McGregor and GSP at 170lbs..... that would be big time box office numbers.
