The coaches dumped MBT when we had him in the past.... not sure if they go back on that road. MBT at this point is a stop-gap QB for a team dealing with an injury. Mentally the guy is all over the place.

Which one of the two is a grey cup winning QB? If we are comparing full careers then clearly ZC would be the more established QB.
-
As per merriam webster the definition when speaking of a person is: successful for a long period of time and widely known I think it's debatable on him being touted as a more established QB then ZC. If we're talking in the last 3 years then yes... but if we're talking about full career then ZC would be looked upon as the more successful established QB.

At least this puts an end on the ridiculous posts about him not playing here because his wife has a job. That was pathetic. Just like how LaPo won't move away unless his wife gave him permission kind of crap. Clearly ZC is a way better option then Nichols. Both guys are one hit away from missing serious time, but with ZC I'd think it's a lesser of a chance since Nichols is so bloody slow and appears to fall apart if he gets any sort of contact on him. This will be interesting to see how it shakes out.

How About that Other Worldly Play-Off Defense?

Swaggerville also had a lot of unnecessary penalties. -

Because you want to see our offense throw 20 yard passes even if we are winning by 10 + points.... -

Neufeld will retire a Bomber... loyal guy , veteran leadership, good player when healthy.... He's the type of guy who probably will move into a coaching role when he's done.

So it appears Gozer is back based on watching videos that analyzed the trailer....
-
Lots of injuries and under performed all season long.
-
I just want to reiterate that Phuong Nam for Vietnamese and Magic Thailand for Thai are still friggin awesome!
-
1290 has spoke a lot about the Blue this season, much more then before. I think for the QB situation last year is a perfect example of why it won't work blowing all your money on one guy. I think the starting salaries will go back down to a more reasonable rate.
-
They already released that info that the cast is coming back ... not sure how much involvement.
-
Bigtime! His ultra conservative approach will be difficult when they are down 2 - 3 scores early in a game.
-
I saw the same thing in Winnipeg ... can't remember who against but Elliott was pisssssed. I just remember several times it was 2nd and long and he would call a screen pass or hand the ball off to kick the safe field goal. Elliott would then get pissed.

I'm intrigued by this new one, the last one wasn't that bad but I found the women to be mostly annoying rather then charming and funny. What I don't like is the kids playing with the proton packs... I'm hoping Rudd and some of the old cast come back to use it. Also how does a kid not know about ghosts.... you'd think the fact that the statue of liberty walked around town and a giant marshmallow attacked New York would be forever legendary. I understand the change in tone since 80's cartoonish comedy isn't really big these days. I'm just hoping this isn't all about the kids because they'll definitely miss on a tonne of nostalgic fans wanting more of what they liked about the originals.

On 1290 they discussed how teams probably would move on to investing $700 000 at the position rather then only one guy in the future... I think this will be true. Evans is on a dirt cheap deal, why not throw some extra cash at a veteran back up who knows your system?
-
You don't think teams want a veteran back up as insurance?
-
Because if they want to make a run for the cup they would rather have a guy like Masoli then signing a cast off like Jennings or bringing in a guy with zero experience.
-
I doubt that Masoli is coming here, he himself says he wants to stay in Hamilton. Plus it makes more sense to sign Nichols or Zach since they are familiar with our team and I'd assume come at a slightly lower price.
-
I was wrong, looking at the stats though he had great passing yards in 4 of the 5 games. Willy diminished because he was shell shocked and beaten up. Nichols also had good stats with LaPo when he first started... but after getting hurt it's regressed drastically.
-
Drew Willy didn't play under LaPolice. A more fair comparison would be him and Joey Elliott feuding... my memory of Elliott getting pissed because LaPo calling a conservative play when we needed big yards....
-
I'm no expert, but Peterman seemed to catch whatever that went his way and would grind hard for those extra few yards. He played very physical, similar to Wolly. This is why I would assume either of those guys at SB would make more sense since this is where they could easily help us get those tight window first downs. I never understood why a guy like Whitehead who is all speed would line up to only run 5 yards and then get crushed or pushed around and not make the completion. I'm not sure if Whitehead was lazy or lacks talent, but my Madden 95 knowledge would be to send the fastest guy deep in a one on one situation and lob the ball to him with the assumption that he will out run the coverage? I'd think higher rate of success doing that in comparison for him to catch the ball and deke and outrun a bunch of guys who only a few feet away? Hamilton (aside from the Grey Cup) seemed to find ways to get Banks open down field with his speed.
