Strev is the perfect size and type for the CFL... he will be back.... with the Blue .... and will dominate It just might take a season or two to get there!

The only contract that I think was an over pay was Little, and even still the guy is a good player. Kuli had he stayed healthy would of been a decent contract... it's not like his salary is killing the team.

Yes but that's to prevent a team like the Goldeyes from loading up on MLB cast offs.

He has managed the cap masterfully... it's not his fault that his all star D-man walked out of the team and tied up the money. I guarantee that people would of cried or asked for Chevy's head if he were to free up salary by unloading Laine , Connor or Ehlers in the off season. It's like it's Chevy's fault that he drafted to many high quality forwards and that his star d-man walked on the team.

100% the CFL has the ratio because the league implements it. Otherwise the Goldeyes would of been required to hire a certain amount of Canadian players...... and same with the Raptors.

I think a lot of guys think he's massive like how Sellers was.... he's to small to play FB/TE but also to big to play RB. His only chance would be at receiver in which he would also be extremely raw. People forget that the NFL really is black and white with their guys unlike the CFL. They will not modify the offense like LaPo for a guy like Strev.

Against CFL level of talent... he was running through guys in his college year also and didn't get a sniff. I'm not knocking the guy but I think people are vastly over rating what he is. He clearly won't be a QB in the NFL, he would need to put on 30 - 40 lbs to be a tight end or full back.... He won't be a RB.... so where does he fit? Receiver? Somewhere on D?

Chevy has/had no cap space to buy good d-men though. Had Buff said he retired or quit... they could at least have the 7 million or whatever he makes to go out and buy some guys. When you're up against the cap you can only afford journeymen defense.....

The league said it was a clean hit.... that being said Tkachuk is learning a lesson that poking the bear to many times will land you in a heap of trouble. It's called pushing his luck to far.

The NFL is loaded with athletes though, he's not *that* freakish in his athletic abilities. If it was all about being a great athlete then Whitehead would still be in the NFL.

Completely agree... if anything Maurice is getting more out of this team then many others would. I also dont fault Chevy.... it's not his fault that Buff really screwed them over. Had we the extra cap space... we would of been able to retain Myers and picked up another guy on D to help with the depth.

I didn't say the guy wasn't a good athlete or a warrior.... but I'm skeptical that he out shines a tonne of talent who are much further ahead at other positions then he is. It's great for us (the CFL) bad for him.

Would any other coach improve the crap we have on defense? This is a clear issue with lack of talent on the D.

I don't see Strev making it down south.... it's not like he lit up the league up here with his passing. He's to raw to play receiver / tight end.... I see him back and with a long CFL career.

This is what was funny about it coming to Winnipeg..... people made such a big deal but it's so average in flavour and what made it good in the States is how dirt cheap it was.... those prices did not carry over to Canada.

Many players would rather be able to go out and do something in their spare time.... The adulation is a bonus but not something that will sway players.
