  1. The guy is worth at least 2 million per season.....
  2. I'm hoping Fenner and Alexander have a bounce back game tonight. I'd imagine unless Jennings has the game of his life (again) against us... we should be able to take control.
  3. The wild man, did you know he's trying to be a wrestler? Wilder doesn't seem to have it anymore .... however in the last game he definitely was trying very hard. He had the effort.
  4. Ummmm did you see Tusk? The guy hasn't made a funny movie since Jay and Silent Bob Strikes back. Even Clerks 2 was crap. He used to be funny but now comes off as a bitter angry man who is trying way to hard after becoming a "stoner". Rewatch some of his old stuff like Chasing Amy and it's night and day difference in how clever he used to make **** and fart jokes.
  5. I was hoping Walker was going to get some reps on O =\
  6. I was in my mid 20's and it was not a nightmare. Many a times we stumbled over from Hooters with only a few minute walk. Centralized location made it easy to go to other places after the game. The only *nightmares* would be the stadium itself.
  7. Hell has frozen over... Rod Pedersen loves the odds for the Bombers and thinks that they are an awesome team and is realistic about the Riders chances this year....
  8. I don't **** on the Bombers for any reason. It's not an ideal location for many people and I believe this is one of the reasons for why the attendance is going down. The team is playing fantastic ball, the weather has been great, the stadium itself is beautiful, the game day atmosphere is great.... so what reasons do you have on why the struggles with the attendance in comparison to the old stadium?
  9. I thought Schultz had family issues and that was why he was away for the year?
  10. I don't understand why he would be vague, in the past O'Shea has said we think the player needs another week before he can go. He's said that many times before, why would he now be odd and unclear? I'm hoping it's nothing but something is fishy and it wouldn't surprise me if he gets suddenly cut.
  11. On the radio they said O'Shea was asked and said Matthews was healed up and ready to go but that he will be a healthy scratch. Why wouldn't O'Shea say we just want to give him another week to heal up. Very fishy stuff. I assume since Walby thinks something is going outside of the injury that you would want him to get his head out of his ass?
  12. They are sitting him as a healthy scratch. That greatly concerns me. Everything from Bauming and Matthews made it seem like he was good to go. O'Shea even says he's healthy but they are going to still sit him. This concerns me greatly.
  13. They've picked on them a few times that killed drives. The score is somewhat flattering the Stamps tonight.
  14. It can't be as bad as riding a packed school bus stuck in traffic.
  15. It kind of feels like the refs are picking on Toronto with fringe calls tonight.
  16. I'm only speaking for Winnipeg fans, I can't speak for any other team. Winnipeggers are notoriously cheap and sadly lazy. However what might work for the club is offering some kind of free item for going to the game.... Peggers can't ever avoid something that is free. I've once seen at a burger king for free whopper day had a line up of at least 50 people out the door waiting an hour just to get a free 5 dollar burger. I've also seen people drive across the town to wait in line for 2 hours just to get a free miniature lego toy.
  17. Well my dad no longer wants to go to games because of inconvenience and I have had several friends not want to go from my area because they just don't want to bother with the traffic.... it definitely is an issue. It's not the only issue but it definitely is one of the factors for lower attendances. I'm looking at this from a casual fan perspective not a die hard who will go no matter what. The club needs the casuals to fill the seats. It's similar to a previous debate on the site about playing the season so late. If the season ended earlier the attendances would be higher, casual fans do not want to sit in the freezing cold. The numbers don't lie.
  18. On a good day with no traffic it still takes 30 - 35 minutes to drive straight to the university. At that point I'd either have to park inside and pay the few dollars but wait forever to get in and out , or I can park off Pembina and do the walk. For myself it's easy but my dad is handicap now so it's not an option for him unless I get him a wheel chair. At Polo I could either pay to park close or park at the mall and walk 5 minutes and then immediately drive home with barely any wait.
  19. So what's the deal with Matthews, why do I have a feeling that he'll be cut after this week with zero explanations?
  20. I've noticed that on 1290 they have not mentioned at all about Montreal and cheating the cap or any of the controversies about the Als. It's really bizarre because both in the morning and afternoon they keep acting aloof and surprised that Kavis Reed was fired after winning two games despite a tonne of rumours about what he did. Only today when Chris Walby was on in the afternoon did he bring it up and they had zero things to say about that.
  21. I've been stuck nearly every time using a school bus. I'm not a large guy by any means but it's extremely uncomfortable. I used to go with my dad but he's sick now and no way could he travel in one of those buses. The parking price isn't the issue it's the massive line ups and extremely slow traffic getting in and out. Had they put it say somewhere like St Boniface it would of been gold because anyone in town could get in and out without having to wait forever to get to the game. Anyone who says location isn't an issue is only fooling themselves.
  22. I live in the North and it takes 45 minutes using park and ride in an uncomfortable school bus. Compared to the old location which was 20 minutes and I could drive in comfort and then be able to either go home or anywhere in town in a breeze without a traffic jam. Huge difference. It's not my opinion it's fact.
  23. A more centralized location compared to a location that only benefits one part of the town. Yes location is an important issue.
  24. Well considering a tonne of people complain about the location and the attendance has dropped... yes it must be only me with this opinion.
  25. Dennis was flat out lazy on 2 of those sacks. Arbuckle looks human, not terrible but that last int was very bad. Both teams can't run, Calgary looking very beatable this season.
