  1. His 2 passes were beautiful... the rest of his throws and his ability to deal with the pocket when it collapsed..... not good.
  2. They have not called holding much at all this season. Our d-line has been robbed of a tonne of sacks because of this.
  3. I wouldn't say so, Harris was good from start till the end. I thought the blocking wasn't decent for the most part despite having Hardrick go down. Outside of Lawler coughing it up and dropping, the receivers didn't drop any passes. What I saw was a conservative offense in the 2nd half , and Nichols completely stinking it up in the 2nd half despite being rock solid in the first. I'm not sure if he's playing scared or he himself is ultra conservative with the lead... It's tough to see if it's Lapo or Nichols because i don't imagine every single receiver is running a 3 yard curl. Streveler comes in the game and tosses it 10 yards to Wolitarsky (which Nichols didn't even target once) and then tosses it 20 yards with ease to Adams despite getting hurried and then he tosses a bad pic but it was at least a 30 yard pass..... Me thinks it's Nichols going ultra conservative. We are 4 - 0 ..... but it's not necessarily nit picking when a guy in each game goes 1 - 2 quarters with zero results. I don't want the gaudy numbers... I'd like to see a guy being able to pick apart a completely deflated and terrible secondary (Argos) with a massive lead as opposed to struggling to throw a ball 7 yards down the field....
  4. He kind of looked like he was going to snap tonight.... that offense was so out of synch it wasn't funny.
  5. Is it though because Streveler goes into the game and then has no problem hitting a guy 15 - 20 yards down field? The int was bad but the other passes he quick released and hit the guy in stride.
  6. I just wish that we could involve some guys mid range and chew up yards. How many yards did we have passing in the 2nd half? It seemed like less then 100? Nichols is the better choice for now but yikes it would be nice to see a full game from him. Bethel Thompson wasn't great by any means but he could at least find some guys while under fire for 20 yards at a time.
  7. I thought Nichols was lights out in the first and hot garbage in the 2nd. His deep balls have been great , however the guy seems to not be able to find any guys in the 7 - 20 yard range at all. Streveler despite his bad int was at least able to complete mid range passes. It feels like Nichols can hit a guy deep or flip it to Harris for a 3 yard gain. I really wished in the 2nd half that he was able to put together some drives since he did have time to throw.
  8. Lots of guys to pick... 1 - Jeffcoat was a monster, was causing all sorts of chaos. 2 - Special teams blocking and tackling... a massive difference between both teams. 3 - Harris - Made lots of plays out of nothing and was rock solid HH - Whitehead with those sick cuts both on the return and on offense Negatives - Lawler didn't win anyone over, Jones whiffed frequently, secondary really was soft in the 2nd half, LaPo calling ultra conservative plays in the 2nd half.
  9. What an ass kicking great game to watch. I only wished that the guys didn't take the pedal off the gas in the 2nd half. Also if we do have a lead can we do more then a hand off on first down and then a 2 yard throw on 2nd and 6? I'm not saying run trick plays but couldn't they at least attempt a 10 yard pass? Jeffcoat also had a monster game... awesome player.
  10. So did the club ever say what happened to Foketi?
  11. I watched up until the mid point of the 3rd quarter. I saw a very undisciplined BC lions give Edmonton great field on boneheaded penalties and piss poor special teams. Didn't they say the average start of Edmontons first 6 drives was at mid field? That o-line needs an overhaul pronto. The team needs an asskicking as they have given up. I wonder if Wally gets a call by labour day....
  12. Going back to Bishop being undefeated with Toronto.... If BC had our defense and we had BC's defense.... would Nichols be 3- 0 and Reilly 1 - 3......
  13. Lawler got open a lot but had some drops. Walker was the guy who caught everything thrown his way.
  14. Aaa one of those harbour view south snobs I see
  15. On the radio he's gone over it a few times on how and why he does it the way he does. The last time he was on he pointed out that Streveler has a real nice touch on his throws and that he does place the ball where receivers can go make the play. Nichols has been better this year but the old eye test has shown a lot of guys having to drop down or dive over to catch a ball that could of been thrown more accurate and where the receiver would of been hit in stride. Surprisingly this season I think Nichols best throws have been his deep balls.
  16. I'm surprised Poop couldn't hang on and broke off from the team.
  17. Now that the word has come out that they are really low in sales. Every Winnipeger will now wait for the eventual slashing of ticket prices. This was poorly done and they should of made that ticket drive push way earlier.
  18. Ferguson really was pumping up Streveler on the radio yesterday, really complemented his ability to pass.
  19. I somewhat remember the knee taking game. Was that the game Joey Elliott was in at QB and was fed up after they decided to go insanely conservative and wouldn't go for a first down in their 2nd last possession? My memory was that they were marching down the field and on 2nd and long they decided to run up the gut to set up the field goal. Elliott flipped out because he had made several completions in a row. I thought they made the field goal with a few minutes left. Edmonton bombs it down the field as you said with the Demond Washington mess up which gave Edmonton the tie. I remember that the clock was closer to 45 seconds left in the game and Burke ends up taking knees and killing the clock. Which enraged Elliott again since he had just marched down the field in the previous possession. It enraged the fans because they didn't even try a safe play to move the ball down the field for a possible field goal. It was very very ugly and clearly the team should of bent over at that time since they were admitting defeat. I could be wrong but I remember it being closer to 45 seconds then only 15.
  20. Lol Popeyes in T-Cona... it will be a smash hit. DQ has the worst quality ice cream, it melts almost immediately and I find the taste to be very bland. Nearly any other local ice cream shop is way better.
  21. Autocorrect lol....
  22. Gray has been awesome as well... he's been pushing guys around a lot so far.
  23. The commentators even made a point of saying he's dropped several catchable balls.
  24. They had to... The look on Brown's face after whiffing on the PAT and the bad kick off... he knew he was packing his bags.
