Montreal was really really bad on kick coverage and tackling. Same goes with the tackling in the secondary... everyone was bouncing off and breaking tackles on them. Masoli was very hot and cold, he tossed some terrible low percentage passes but also found lots of wide open guys and hit them on the mark. I'd like to see Hamilton against a real team.

So much more then simply pointing out to the TD totals also though. In the last 5 minutes everyone on Edmonton was dropping passes that were hitting them in the mitts. Many more factors then passing and TDs. The old eye test is what I think is the best and Nichols struggled mightily and went stone cold way to often. If our *defense* comes back down to earth we will be a middle of the pack team. I only wish the coaches had given Streveler at least a few series after Nichols was clearly playing like crap.

In fairness Maas did also call some boneheaded plays. I liked when Dunigan called him out on 3rd and long doing a shotgun snap hand off.

Odds and Sods - 2019 - Edmonton at Winnipeg

I'm glad you brought that point up. I thought our d-line was doing a great job of pushing them back but from my eyes everyone was getting held both this week and week one. -
I thought Jefferson was getting good pressure the last two games. I think the sacks will be coming shortly.
-
Everyone crapping on Trevor Harris.... he was rushed quite a lot tonight and he made something out of nothing at least 3 - 5 times from what I saw. If our d-line was playing against a QB like Nichols they would of had easily 5 more sacks.

Any word on what injury Olivera has? It looked bad on tv....

Lucky Gaitor Rose HH - The D-line Bozos of the game - Harris and Fenner
-
Last season he was definitely locking in on guys.... seems to be doing it again this year.

I just finished watching the game on the PVR.... That cute play Lapo called on 2nd and short completely killed our momentum. Nichols was off after that, he had time in the 2nd quarter and completely whiffed on his passes. Also why did they not pick on whoever was covering Matthews.... it was a huge size mis match. Harris had his worse game as a Bomber... th ankfully Ellingston had his worst game to even things out. I thought the d-line had a tonne of pressure and Gaitor was really solid tonight. Fenner looks lost... lots of whiffed tackles and playing catch up. I'll take the win but I'm concerned about Nichols and the offense. I would of liked to have seen Streveler given the ball in the 2nd quarter and 4th quarter when Nichols was really turtling and doing nothing. At least Streveler can bull doze and run for a few yards rather then turtle.
-
But it's not all about playing safe... we had full momentum and a nice lead and they call that bull **** 2nd and short play that completely turned the game around on us.
-
My concerns are that Harris thrives in the medium passes hitting receivers in stride. Our soft zone gives me concern as the receivers will be open and unless we get massive pressure he will pick us apart. Last season his two games against us he had 361 and 349 yards passing!

Dickenson doesn't look overwhelmed to me, frustrated more so from what I saw. Claybrooks looked overwhelmed and in over his head IMO.
-
Myers will easily get that kind of money... now Tanev at 4 million... that I don't think will happen.
-
Long story short.... team needs to extend Streveler big time!!!
-
Maybe the riders are not the worst team

A bit easier to beat BC knowing that they won't run. We did not know this in week one until after the first half.
-
Because the d line was eating them up. I did notice his tongue sticking out a lot in the 2nd half. Looked like a nervous tick.
-
Who cares about the hat... The guys body language by the end of the game was eerily similar to Burke's soul less stare.
-
Edmonton at the beginning were sending everyone at Reilly... in the 2nd half they were getting to him with a 3 man rush. BC looked very very bad.
-
Absolutely terrible o line they are getting best with a three man rush. Claybrooks started the game dancing, then looked confused now looks way over his head as a coach. Eskimos are a good team , BC is horrid. I think the riders could beat them .
-
Wow BC is falling apart. That defense is so soft. I don't think they have anyone in the secondary who can tackle.
-
Poor Montreal, I'm not sure who they can get in aside from Bridge?
