Their is no interest in this event at all from the casuals, this wasn't like the heritage classic where even fringe hockey fans wanted in on the event. The same even goes when we had the Womens Soccer games at the stadium, I heard much more of a buzz of those games then from this NFL exhibition. If I were them I'd slash prices in half right now and try to salvage what they can.

They created a task force in Manitoba with 10 employees which I'd wager would cost at least 1 million per year in salary dollars alone. Despite the fact that the majority of the missing women were murdered/kidnapped by someone in their family/community which rarely ever provide any assistance. I am fairly certain other provinces have the same. Each division also has an Aboriginal Policing unit which locally also employs 10 - 20 people at a high cost. These 2 bozos in the woods are on the run and are extremely dangerous and killed innocent people and clearly will kill more if need be. Everyone including their own parents think they will be going out on a blaze of glory shooting anything and anyone they can. On the radio this morning Bauming suggested that they left him in to give Nichols a chance to show that when the team needs him that he can pull through with a game winning drive at the end of the game. It made me think of all the times that Calvillo (or any of the other greats) would march down the field and take control of the offense and pull through at the end of the game. It would be nice to know that Nichols can do this more often then not.

Forget not last season when Nichols struggled and the fans booed, he threw a hissy fit and blamed everything else aside himself. The guy is super emotional so when he's down he's really down.

Nichols **** the bed, it was bound to happen. The guy was playing way above his normal level so it's not surprising that he stunk the joint up. I'm just more so concerned that when it was obvious that he wasn't bouncing back with good play that they didn't sit him for a few series.

What the hell is wrong with you guys? Complaining about the Defense and Andrew Harris. This game was a perfect example of why Matt Nichols is not the guy you want to lean on when it counts. The guy is a very emotional player and when things go bad he unravels and plays scared and falls apart. I blame the coaches for not sitting Nichols after the first two series and let Streveler play a series to calm the guy down. Also Andrew Harris and Lucky Whitehead should of been running a tonne from the get go. Bad gameplan by LaPo and terrible execution from Nichols. Chris Matthews dressing makes no difference when Nichols starts getting excited and either one hops or floats balls into areas where receivers can't make plays.

This is the type of game where a change of pace at QB may jump start the offense. But O'Shea's loyalty most likely will prevent this from happening.

Because they are desperate for money. It's pretty damn clear they are hard up when Irving has to constantly queue ad promos on top of taking endless commercial breaks. CJOB is ridiculously cheap for ads so it's no surprise that they have a bunch of local ads.

I'd be absolutely shocked if O'Shea moves to a new team in the off season. He doesn't seem to be a chasing money kind of guy. He's put in all these years into creating a team and culture based on what he believes in... he's finally reaping the rewards of that hard work and he's going to go to Toronto to start fresh with different ownership/leadership that may not follow the same ideology. Even LaPo I don't really see him leaving at this point, it's to good here right now. Only guy I'm worried/concerned about losing is Streveler. I think he goes to the XFL next season to make big money and/or Toronto throwing him starter money.

I listen to 1290 on the way to work and back. I don't mind Toth he's funny and doesn't take everything so seriously. Westwood isn't terrible but he doesn't really add a whole much in the way of personality or anything of merit in any of the conversations. Reuwicky or however it's spelled is much better, he at least provides an opinion and plays devils advocate. I don't listen much to Kevin O during the day but he sounds very dry when I have tuned it in. Rick Ralph is awful , I have no idea why he's employed. His jokes are poor and sometimes it's cringey on how he tries to be funny with some of the call in guests they have. Lawless was a better partner because at least he'd offer some decent insight. Hustler is good at interviews and at least has some personality. I don't mind listening to him. For the regular guests that the shows have I find the NHL guys are all A+ and offer good insight. The NFL guy they have each week on the morning show is sarcastic and I find funny. He isn't afraid to call out when a player is the drizzling shits and how teams are making boneheaded moves. For the CFL , Milt is useless and offers cookie cutter answers and doesn't really offer anything that isn't obvious. Walby is funny but his knowledge is on par with anyone on these boards going on the show. Pedersen is entertaining I will give him that, but he's a complete tool. Marshall Ferguson is really good and seems to know his ****. Overall I prefer 1290 since it doesn't have obscene amount of commercials like 680 does.
