  1. You mean the two teams that made it to the Grey Cup shouldn't drop down the rankings near the bottom and that a team that gained three notable free agents shouldn't skyrocket to the top?
  2. Darvin Adam's worked out well? Also when they had brought in Dressler, Ryan Smith, Ellington, Moore.. all of those came off as big FA signings coming off good seasons. Are we forgetting about whitehead in his first go around, Demski and Schoen? Receiver is one position where we have not struggled since the Mike Kelly era.
  3. So during our big losing period where we had terrible coaching and rotated terrible qbs we didn't have a quality receiver? Shocking?
  4. As per his cfl.ca stats... 0 = 100 yard games His longest reception is 45 yards in length, after that one big reception he has a handful of 30 - 35 yards receptions. I wouldn't consider that a deep threat?
  5. We've signed dozens of mediocre receivers since the signing of Terrance Edwards. I don't get what is similar between Edwards and White Jr outside of playing for Montreal?
  6. The fear that I have is that a guy like Zach will be completely done and the stubborness of O'Shea of moving on will pile on an extra 5 - 6 losses for no reason at all.
  7. I'm not sure if you were a part of Ourbombers.com , but this site is much more of a modern day "safe space" then the old days where grown adults could bust balls and shoot from the hip without anyone having hurt feelings or take offense to a word like tugger. When I hear tugger I picture this dude:
  8. They mainly exploited our coaches inability to adapt and change a game plan when things were not working (i.e. use our MOP running back which was working and continue to run the ball)
  9. The guy who is going to bump Terry Wilson off the team.
  10. I guess looking at the glass half full... maybe with that $400 000 they can extend guys who are on their last year and throw that money as bonuses and give those players smaller salaries for the next year or two?
  11. That one kind of sucks, he was very consistent in his last two seasons. He didn't disappear for weeks / months at a time and would give you 4 - 5 receptions for 60 yards and then break out for a big game every 5 games or so.
  12. I understand saying the "right things" to make a good impression with your new team. But come on now, I'd imagine Hamilton would be in the bottom 3 for odds of winning the Cup this year.
  13. No question that last season Brady carried the team big time. We need to be much more effective this season in the passing game, last season it felt like it was all or nothing. It would be nice to have times where we can complete 6 passes in a row for 10 - 15 yards and not rely on the big play to move the ball.
  14. With Logan and Mitchell on the team, it would be interesting if they ran the O similar to the 2023 49ers when they had a healthy Purdy / McCaffrey / Deebo / Aiyuk with a lot of variety in runs, qb moving out of the pocket, quick passes with the potential of great YAC which then opened up many deep balls down the field. I'm not sure if Zach is capable of doing a short game anymore though and if he is stuck as a drop back passer tossing it deep regardless if the receiver is open or not.
  15. In fairness most teams this year have not signed "big time players" outside the two teams who were the worst last year. I assume teams like Toronto have faith in the ability to recruit rather then blow the money on free agents.
  16. https://www.cfl.ca/2025/02/11/a-team-by-team-look-at-2025-cfl-free-agency/ An easy way to see what teams have signed and what they have lost. Shiltz to Ottawa is a nice move for them.
  17. I attribute our poor start as a result of a wasted pre season and training camp. I really hope this year the team takes it seriously and doesn't **** around a-gain.
  18. Still a massive downgrade from Vernon Adams though.... it is a decent veteran back up option if he comes cheap.
  19. Good luck with that U.K.
  20. The issue with Thomas is that the numbers don't always tell the full story. Several times in the last few seasons he has had gimmie sacks where WJ has two guys hanging off of him and is driving the qb out of the pocket and chasing him down and Thomas gets the easy sack since he's at this point climbed back up after being pushed down and is the only guy on the d-line who isn't being blocked so he can make the easy tackle. I can't think of many or if any "highlights" that Jake Thomas has had in any of the games he has played in. Maybe it's just me being critical and he has made big plays that I'm ignoring... I just can't remember any of them. I don't know for any of our post game threads if anyone has had Thomas in the top 3 or has given him a HH award.
  21. Emmitt Smith was an 8 time all star and had several great seasons, far from Jake Thomas who has never came close to leading anything. Smith is always in the top 10 all time rbs in the league, usually in the top 5 after Sanders, Payton, Brown. A better example of a crappy HOF'er is Art Monk who only had 5 - 1000 yard receiving seasons in his 16 seasons and only 3 pro bowl selections. 2 of those seasons he barely passed the 1000 yard mark. Never lead the league in yards or TD's.
  22. I may be way off base here since I haven't bothered to go look it up... but i'd bet you a pepsi that Streveler has better NFL stats then Dukes.
  23. I believe Dana Carvey hates Mike Myers big time for many reasons. Mainly that he stole the Dr Evil voice from Dana's impression of Lorne Michaels.
