  1. Dominant players do not play on the 3rd line in hockey. Role players/ depth players are good to have but cannot get paid the same as 1st liners. Role players and depth players are also significantly easier to find then all-stars.
  2. Get them soon, Red Lobster may be filing for bankruptcy any day now from losing money on the endless shrimp promotion. https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/food-and-drink/red-lobster-bankruptcy-shrimp-promotion-b2539356.html
  3. Bailey was not a dominant player, he was a solid and reliable guy but never a guy that I'd think would be a hall of famer. Jeffcoat is several years past his prime and on a downturn with his injuries. Far from dominant on a consistent basis. Grant is a dominant returner and he will be missed.
  4. I don't believe him... hot girl asks him to go out and he says "maybe later" and then he kindly suggests that they go out as a group. Bulllllllllll S............
  5. St Pierre used to have a great home made place called Oma's that sadly also closed down. I've had a co worker who has gone to Winkler and tried out Ralph's German Restaurant and said that it was authentic and really good. They also appear to have Rouladen.
  6. I was more so thinking that the trailer had the same music, the same shots of a young lion standing on the rock looking over the land, rafiki, same shot of baby lion running between the legs of a stampede of animals, what I assume is Timon and Pumba.... it looks very samesies as the Lion King. I'll be curious if it will be another movie that people will just wait for it is free on Disney Plus and if they'll go see Sonic 3 instead?
  7. It's tough, Football is more of an "old man" sport so with each year the audience of people who love the CFL purely for the game shrinks. I think what Wade is doing is the absolute best tactic of trying to bring in young people and families for the gameday experience. Over time maybe they can build some fans of the sport. When it comes to the tv/streaming audience it's really a tough challenge with the massive amounts of different entertainment options for the average person to select from. The XFL showed that gimmicks is not enough to build a large audience. You said that all the other leagues have grown exponentially , which isn't true as I showed in my list above. The NBA/NFL/MLB/UFC have global appeal and billions of dollars backing them so they can tackle the untapped markets and make even more money. How can the CFL compete with the NFL in doing the same? Not going to happen and they won't be able to tap into the US market either. Long story ... it is what it is.
  8. I honestly thought it was a trailer for the 2019 Lion King movie, did they really need a Mufasa movie? I'll be curious to see if it does as well as the 2019 which made a billion plus dollars. The last many live action remakes have lost money for Disney and they've basically written off Snow White and it's 250 million dollar budget. They need this one to succeed.
  9. I did a few years back, it was good but more of a Canadian diner with some German influence in the dishes. Mostly variations of schnitzels with fries.
  10. It was a chain restaurant that was across North America so not really special to only Winnipeg. I was surprised that Gasthaus Gutenburger wasn't on the list. That place is sorely missed and Winnipeg definitely could use a real german restaurant.
  11. XFL.... XFL 2.0.... Arena Football League..... USFL..... Or are we comparing the little old CFL with billion dollar leagues like MLB, NFL, NBA?
  12. Always next year....
  13. That is a shame, the place was really really good for breakfast and lunch.
  14. I think Stanback is completely shot, he's not the same guy as he was 3 - 4 years ago. That is a big drop off.
  15. I assume they didn't know before signing the lease, sometimes the process takes over a year before builds are commenced. I looked at the the Press'D web page for the other location, you are correct those sandwiches look underwhelming. Not as nice as Cha-chi's and more like a fancier version of the sandwiches you can get at a gas station.
  16. Utah is booming with lots of people with money moving away from California to Salt Lake City. Lots of disposable income in SLC so it makes sense that they'd jump ahead and get a franchise.
  17. Can we have a commish that isn't 100 years old.
  18. The term Pot heads was cool 26 years ago when this movie came out!
  19. He already did.. the balls of the guy to make a book saying "if I did it".... That guy was scum and had they not had the Rodney King stuff a few years before then OJ would of certainly went to jail for the murders.
  20. Definition of throw the books - informal: to punish (someone) as severely as possible The term doesn't necessarily need to be used in context as a criminal matter. Are you not familiar with how message boards work and how people voice their opinions? Did you want to write down a list of what you want to read so that everyone can follow a template? To dumb it down since you can't comprehend, I said Chad is an idiot , but being an idiot shouldn't equal him being severely punished either by the league or legally or anywhere based on what has been presented so far.
  21. Chad sounds like the stereotypically "Chad". That being said as annoying and stupid as he is, I don't see enough based on what is written in the article to throw the books at the guy. Sounds like a cocky athlete with a bruised ego who threw a hissy fit. While embarrassing , it's not criminal.
  22. My attitude of having concern of the sharp increase of crime and violent crimes? Was it that I provided facts that you cannot dispute? That's a weird take?
  23. For those who do not have Kodi.... a good ad blocker + sportsurge.net can get you most streams for any sports.
  24. As of 2022 - Winnipeg has the highest rate of homicides and by a large margin compared to the other large cities in Canada. Also Winnipeg/Manitoba has seen the largest increase in crimes once again by a much larger margin compared to the other provinces. I'd say it's been a noticeable change in recent years. I also wouldn't compare us to the States since it's not an apples to apples comparison. Homicide numbers: https://www150.statcan.gc.ca/n1/daily-quotidien/231129/t003b-eng.htm
  25. You are not missing out on anything. We used to buy lunch mates and similar things for our daughter for lunches and then realized they taste awful, heavily processed, and are over priced. It's much better and cheaper to just buy real meat and cheese and DIY.
