It was discussed many years ago that they were going to age the characters so that Bart and Lisa would be in high school.... network vetoed the idea and didn't want to risk the change. It would of been awesome had they aged the characters to a point where now they were adults dealing with their own kids. I love the idea because I remember as a kid watching Married with Children and not really understanding Al Bundy and his issues and understanding both of the kids. Now as an adult and father.... I rewatched the show and completely look at it in a different light and fully appreciate Al Bundy. One episode Al takes the day off from work and ends up putting police tape around his couch so none of the kids or Peggy bugs him on his day off.... I often dream of doing the same myself lol.

Using one off examples isn't showing that their is an issue. The closest I've ever seen of any favoritism in hiring practices is with the federal gov't clearly stating that visible minorities and indigenous people will be given preference for the jobs. Now that IMO is a clear indication of choosing someone over someone else for the wrong reasons. I'm still waiting for real examples of places having hiring practices where they pay one gender more then another. The example given was a male doing a lateral to a different area of his work and that is super common practice everywhere. Nobody can give real examples so clearly it doesn't exist.

Based on the thread in reddit it either looked like 2 sketchy guys walked in and shot up two people or the two sketchy people walked in and shot each other.... either way maybe they should closer earlier in the night...

Do we know all the facts , did the others have higher pay because they had more experience and/or qualifications? A one off example isn't exactly showing that gender pay gap exists. I seen the same scenario with the roles reverse where a female has been given a job because either she slept her way to the top or was married/dating someone with a higher position ... I don't consider that gender pay gap .... Now show me something where a big company like Wal-Mart or Costco pays a female cashier 15 dollars an hour and a male cashier 18 dollars an hour and then I will believe in this pay gap. Telling me that you know a buddy who was screwed over for a position because a male got the job is not even close to showing that gender pay gap exists. I can safely assume that nearly everyone in life has seen someone more qualified being passed over for a promotion because the head boss was buddies with whoever they gave the position to. That's not gender pay gap... that's just a typical crappy part of life.

Seems like he fits the mold of the kind of player the team wants to have... a non selfish hard working team player. Him and Bennett should make a good combo for the future!

Sid has a few shoot interviews on Hannibal TV where he goes into detail about why he left and the stabbing incident. He definitely doesn't seem as *dumb* as he did on tv despite only having half the brain of Kevin Nash lol. The guy simply made bad decisions on when to take breaks and to not going along with his pushes... Vince wanted him to be the next Hogan but he didn't want to go face.

No it isn't. I've seen it before in the Gov't where person A is *acting* in the role but can't fill the role because they are missing a specific education or job experience. Person B comes in and gets the job even if they are far less productive and knowledgeable and Person A is required to train Person B despite acting in that role for a year. For your example one person is being hired as a boss/manager. Usually managers pull a higher salary then their employees. Maybe that "man" was better qualified we don't know? What if they hired a female instead? It still wouldn't be fair but what would you call that? I'd like to see real examples where two people share the exact same job duties, have the exact same education, have the same job experience where the male makes more money then the female?

If I had to pick one guy in their prime it easily would be Ryan not even close...

I've seen that exact same thing happen a few times over my career. With both genders. I wouldn't consider this to be the norm though?

I highly doubt that any of the cast of Connors would be demanding a salary that they could not afford.

I think it was either a shoot with Eric Bischoff or One Man Gang himself, but for that match they said that El Gigante facked up the finish and that's why they had to rush the weird finish. El Gigante also screwed up a different match where he walked over the top rope and eliminated himself screwing up the finish.

What's the deal this year with them always being outshot by a large margin?

I really do think Thompkins was under utilized last season... the guy seemed to catch everything and was good at turning it up field for those extra yards.

Do we really need Brassard though? *If* our team stays healthy do we really need to fill any positions? I would think our issues are more so that the talent isn't playing at their normal high level and that we mostly just need some guys to get a kick in the arse.

I like how every year for some reason I read about how the Bombers have zero space and money to sign free agents and every year we end up signing some big contract guys. I don't see money being an issue if we are trying to sign a few key free agents.

In regards to Goalie's rant... I was a massive wrestling fan in the 80's and during the late 90's early 2000's. Outside of the guys who are old as dirt (Kurt Angle, Kane, Big Show , HHH etc...) I wouldn't be able to name more then maybe 5 guys on the WWE roster. I have zero idea on who is big and who is not. I will assume that AEW will be trying to attract a new audience and not trying to steal fans away from the WWE product. So for me if the product is entertaining and not focused on 12 year old boys ... I don't care who is wrestling I will be tuning in for the show. It reminds me of back in the mid 90's when ECW started getting popular... I had no idea who most of the stars were (despite many being WWE rejects) but the show itself won me over and it was much watch wrestling for me.

I'd be curious to see what the shot totals are compared from last season to this season. To me it feels like this year we have had many more games where our goalies have had to make a tonne of saves...

But can Hellebuyck win the teag team titles with Brossoit?

I caught the 2nd period on the radio and the 3rd and OT on TV... both sets of announcers made mention about how miserable of a game Laine was playing.
