Exactly, not to mention it's usually women who are more likely to take maternity leave and/or stay at home with the children for which those reports factor in. For myself I'm in IT... when I went to school and through out my work life it's been 90% male. That being said the female that works with me makes the exact same pay as what I do and receives the same increments and benefits. Now my wife who is in an administrative world who works with a tonne of admins is the opposite with 90% of them being female. That being said the males at her work make the exact same pay. Now some people might point out that the world has way more CEO's that are male and high level executives and just maybe it's because the scientific nature of a male may just be better then a female. Do you not think that any private company would choose a person based on potential profits over gender preference? In this day and age hell no. Now days its so cut throat that they don't give a crap who they hire/fire as long as the big companies can squeeze some extra profits. Another area is athletes... the reason that LeBron makes a bazillion dollars and ladies in the WNBA make peanuts is because their is no interest and they do not generate that kind of profits. I like the example of Ronda Rousey when she was in the UFC she was making near 10 million per fight when she was on top which exceeds nearly everyone on the roster... they pay based on what the person can bring back to the company. In this day I don't consider gender pay an issue, I'd think the much bigger and relevant issue would be how big companies use places like China and India and force employees of both genders to work in poor conditions for such terrible low salaries.

As per gender pay gap it's been proven already that it does not exist. I don't even know why it's even a discussion anymore?

I find this Gilette stuff hilarious.... post a sappy lame video about Men needing to be men....... yet Proctor & Gamble have been charging the pink tax for years (i.e. selling the exact same razors at a higher price for ladies). They should stick to selling razors and stop trying to hard. The video is barf worthy.

Once again... Two times in one day!

I thought he restructured his deal mid season last year?

Considering his dad owns two professional sports teams I'd imagine the resources that AEW would have at their disposal would be absolutely amazing. Their is no doubt that you couldn't find a better situation for an upstart wrestling to start off with.

I think that Streveler only starts if Nichols gets hurt, O'Shea won't hand over the keys just yet....
-
Not going to happen , but two seasons from now I'd imagine we move on from him as our starting qb.

Someone is going to get the ban hammer...

To put it in perspective.. you can spend the resources going after the small time bad guys robbing the Liquor Mart, peddling small time drugs , assaulting people etc... You can spend a lot of money and time focusing on those kinds of crimes. Unfortunately the end result because of our legal system is those criminals are in the Remand Centre for a few days , released on the promise to appear, get a ridiculously light slap on the wrist and back out causing the same crimes the next weekend. On the other hand nailing drunk and distracted drivers, ticketing people will net results (money) so to help fund the crazy money it makes more sense for them to go after these kinds of issues. I'm not disagreeing but it does make sense on why they focus their attention on what many think is useless. In Canada it really does pay to do crime because many crimes carry such light penalties that the risk/reward heavily favours a career criminal.

They need the revenue to help massively over pay for all the OT they dish out. Unfortunately because of the legal system so many guys have to waste time driving around and doing checks and playing baby sitter that it leaves much less resources for fighting the real crime. I put the blame more on the legal system then the WPS itself.

Free up some cash to re-sign Bighill!
-
I remember watching him once at practice and was puzzled at why he never saw any game time, he had a decent arm was able to throw accurate deep passes.
-
Well they may sign one guy who wrestles once in a while at a local dumpy bar with a dubious promoter

I am unaware of any of those leagues having North American TV deals that many people can access? As for the midgets comments.. I seem to remember guys like Shawn Micheals, Ric Flair and Bret Hart getting over despite being average heights? If AEW gets a good tv deal and if they have good angles / story lines and something that can draw adults to watching then I don't see why it can't do well? If they only focus on wrestling then yes I agree it won't draw any casuals over.

They find a way to keep Laine simple as that. No way do they trade away a goal scorer with his kind of talent. If Toronto can find a way to sign all those contracts then Winnipeg can find a way.

So will AEW be the first wrestling organization with a union?
-
On Jim Ross's podcast last week he did not hide it well that he will be involved with AEW. Made it seem very obvious with what he said.

It didn't help when near the end WCW was paying a million dollars to draw a low rating with Kiss playing live on the show or when they started massively over paying C level talent. I love reading stories about how a bunch of guys were making 6 figures and were "forgotten" about and would hide at the tapings just so that they didn't notice them still being around. At the start they made wise investments with Hogan and Macho mainly because they brought in other advertisers which helped justify their high costs. It also helped that WWE literally gave those guys away. WCW had the upper hand also by not having the crazy road schedule of the WWF at the time. With Omega if they offer something close to WWE it would make sense for him to go with them. But if the offer is something along the lines of 3.5 million guarantee compared to only 1 million.... then in my opinion he would be unwise to take the lower offer. At some point you have to cash out because at any point his career can be over with one bad accident.

I heard on the radio they re-signed... Jake Thomas. I have a good feeling that Bighill will be next!
-
Everybody has a price.. they would just need to ante up more money.

Great signing! Next Bighill!
