I also went to a place I think called Roxie's on the Red in Selkirk... you wouldn't think much of the place driving by. The food though is fantastic with massive portions and a wide variety. The jalapeno pulled pork sandwich is my go to dish when I visit.

My memories of IHOP in the States is literally a minor step up from Denny's. Nothing special at all. Local restaurants.... Phuong Nam is always great. I tried BMC Taqueria on Henderson last week and it was really tasty and cheap to boot.

The transition from kickboxing to MMA is a huge transition... as they alluded on the broadcast... grappling and the amount of energy that it drains is massively different then clinching in boxing/kickboxing. He would have to have several years of dedicated MMA training and lots of fights against cans to build him up to be a true contender. I say they cherry pick his fight against pure strikers and have exciting Melvin manhoef type fights

I did not notice him at all tonight. Imagine if Lindley had some pressure on him.... the guy was bouncing Brink like throws with no one in his face.... I did watch Hurl a bit tonight after his big whiff on a tackle... the guy really does seem to be a few steps off on any run. Is it him or is it the system?

I liked Flanders ... the hustle and giving the td ball to a kid... good guy. The only negative I saw in the game was the soft defense at the end and a few whiffed tackles by Hurl. Nearly everything else was bang on.

My guess is it is for the fans coming to the game.... it's Winnipeg. Once a touch of rain hits the streets for some reason the city slows down to a crawl and you can add an additional 30 minutes for any drive around town.

In regards to the old Target my memory is a bit fuzzy , isn't the only way to visit the store space is going up an escalator with a few elevators that you can also ride? If that is the case then I can't imagine a food store working well since everyone would be using shopping carts.

Before I used to roll my eyes at the idea.... last month we took our two little ones to a mini trip down South and went to 3 hotels with water parks. Mid week in late August these places were jam packed from afternoon till close. Many of the people were locals attending as well. They could easily generate a tonne of cash with a decent park. In winter parents are desperate to unleash the kids somewhere to burn energy, places like Kid City are swamped with kids running around. I can see an indoor park doing very well.
