On H & L he was the one who brought up the "Look at Carey Price and his numbers over his first few years". The team is really high on Comrie and based on what I hear on the radio it looks like they want him to be the man in 2-3 seasons. This is why I don't see them going for a younger guy like Fleury because the end game goal is Comrie starting and Helle backing him up in 3 seasons. We will sign a Pavelec 2.0 to be the stop gap and Helle will get his 50 starts next season. Just to clarify I personally hate this and wish they would sign a proven Winner... you can't wait years on a goalie to be the guy... we wasted so many on Pavs we would of been better off keeping Montoya.

Because they are a draft and develop team and this year was a year of developing the young guys. Next year... yet another year to develop guys..... the year after yet another year of development because so many guys are so young. As I said before if they sign a "C" level vet goalie to play 20 - 30 games... it's a huge indication that this team isn't going to make any sort of push for a long time.

Based on Chevy's comments... it looks like the team is looking for a new Hutch... back up goalie to play 20 - 30 games for them. I'd be shocked if they made the effort to sign a starter for next season. Also Chevy and Maurice have yet to make any sort of comments stating that the goal for next season is to be a play off team... very low expectations and mostly about being young and how the team is young and how growing pains because we are young.... etc....

We would of lost him or Helle in the expansion draft though...

Over the last few seasons it's been clear that Bob only has a year or left of doing PBP. Time to end that chapter and move in a new direction and hope that the next PBP guy can be as good as Bob was. -
He was solid in CB4...

My main reason is that Clemons absolutely loves the league and would definitely give his 100% for the job. What's wrong with him being a figure head and a guy that is out in the public? Those are great traits for a being the face of the league. It's not like the guy is a dummy and he is well connected in the Toronto community. He'd be a great choice.

Lol Donald Crump is a great name...

Pinball Clemons for commissioner is what I vote for....

Good for him... how often has a team cut a player right before he was owed a bonus. I see nothing at all wrong with what he did. -
I was at the one in Vegas, after seeing the artifacts and the big piece hanging up on display and then going to the little deck on the night of the disaster. It was really powerful and I would say that part of the exhibit was not done in bad taste. I wouldn't think the re-enactment would be a good idea on the ship mainly because it may cause panic for certain types of people who may end up doing unwise things. Similar to when people have panic attacks on planes and when someone else cracks a joke about hearing a noise and then the freaked out person goes into full blown panic mode. I also think it would be depressing to go on a cruise and then being bummed out thinking about how many people perished.

Did anyone catch Chevy on the radio? He wants Maurice back. Also hinted that Helle will be the starter next season. Used the old Young team as the reason for struggles. Didn't sound like he will be active in the off season.

A terrible card as to be expected. The only really interesting thing that I read was the transcript of Anthony Johnson corner giving up on him and being completely defeated after he ignored their wishes and kept trying to wrestle with Daniel Cormier. I'm not an MMA coach or expert.... but it really does puzzle me when a guy like Rumble has great success throwing hooks and high kicks which were connecting and hurting Cormier.... only for him to clinch and then try to go for a takedown and then lose that battle. He didn't look tired and clearly it was working for him when he kept distance and landed bombs. Super weird that he would go to the one area in which he was greatly outmatched in. The Mousasi fight was disappointing in how it ended... looked like the end was going to be great only for Mirgliotta to blow the call (again). Why is Pearl Gonzalez on a main card for a PPV? It blows my mind that they have two nobodies fighting on the ppv portion?? It's cards like these that make me yearn for the old days of Pride where at least you would be entertained if the star power wasn't holding up the card...

I believe Jason Sensation also claimed that other guys in the locker room sexually assaulted/molested him. I'm not sure how much I would believe of that though. Sometimes people like to make bold claims just to get some attention....

From listening to them on radio... Hustler seems very opinionated while Lawless seems to be more of a "The experts say this so this is what we should believe". Completely different types which makes for decent radio. Lawless is definitely connected when it comes to the Jets, not to sure about the Blue Bombers though. Lawless used to be more like a Paul Friesen throw crap out and hope to generate talk via controversy or making bold statements. He's completely changed since the Jets return and seems to be more professional IMO.

This club even with Fleury did not seem like a play off caliber team. Any other season I'd be upset but for this season it makes sense to pass on that trade. Now if for some reason he's available after the expansion draft for that same price then I'd do it in a heart beat.
-
Wouldn't Vegas just claim him then?
-
Anyone else find it fishy that Daniel Cormier somehow magically lost 1.2 lbs in a matter of 2 minutes and then Rumble Johnson is then weighed in at 1.2 lbs below the 205 weight limit?

Which back ups or 3rd stringers in the league would you say are massive upgrades to LeFevour?

What helped Danny for that game ( I attended) was his legs... zero penetration and way to much zone defense...

Bombers Release Financial Report Ahead Of Fan Open House
Brandon replied to Jpan85's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Wouldn't taking public transport followed by walking be the most cost effective option? That's how nearly every other city handles sporting events? How do these blue collar Danny attend Jets games which cost a whole lot more to attend? I would not classify Winnipeg as a city full of people barely being able to afford to go to a Bomber game. If money were so tight you wouldn't see beer snakes and a whole lot of merch flying off the shelf. We are not that poor in the Peg. -
Is LeFevour absolutely awful? Considering he came to Toronto and after a few weeks they started him and he passed for over 300 yards and 4 TD's against our very good defense. I'd say LeFevour is light years better then most of the guys we have slotted in as back up over the last 5 seasons? Do you not remember Jason Boltus?

Bombers Release Financial Report Ahead Of Fan Open House
Brandon replied to Jpan85's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
My main point was that if affordability was the main goal for the Bombers then why not cut prices of concessions to attract even more customers. If Park and Ride at $5 dollars is not covering cost then they should raise the price so that the team doesn't lose money. -

If they remove the park and ride completely then how would you get to the game? The park and ride is completely optional. Do the Jets have a park and ride? How does everyone get to those games? Can those folks afford the pricier parking options downtown? -
Bombers Release Financial Report Ahead Of Fan Open House

It's a great example, for myself usually I take my dad and we go to George's on Regent and feast on a massive meal at half the price and then head off to the game. I'd be more inclined to eat at the game if the prices were more reasonable. For the both of us to take a cab directly to and from the game, I'd imagine the cost would be well over $50 dollars. So for us to spend even $20 dollars for the two of us using the park and ride.... to be driven right to the front gate directly and then picked up at the same spot and driven back to the park and ride. To me that's great value. I'm not familiar with the price of parking my car the stadium, but I'd imagine that with the gas and headaches of trying to slowly get in and out ... It wouldn't be worth me saving a few bucks.
