Fajardo was at least a guy that despite everyone in Winnipeg hating... actually proved himself in Montreal and at least was a guy who was a starter and taken his team to the play offs. Arbuckle is on his 5th team in 5 years and has barely had any playtime since his time in Calgary.

I think it comes down to special teams and Zach not forcing throws.

Outside of the last game of the season , he had 2 TD's and very poor stats. He went 12 / 22 for 88 yards against us earlier in the year.

TSN keeps talking about the vaunted Toronto defense... they have given up 28 and more points and 300 - 475 yards passing per game since we last played them. Also a pile of rushing yards. I know they have some studs, but is the Toronto unit really elite?

That's what we have had all year. Nobody that can step up and make a huge play.

He has gone for deep daggers with mixed results. Lots of forced throws into double coverage which is no bueno. I do miss the days of the 15 - 30 yard strikes to Demski and Lawler.

Math isn't a strong point around these boards. Every year people around here think that if one team signs one guy for a high contract that they have zero ability to fill out the rest of the roster.

The Elks make more sense to me since Edmonton isn't currently known for having a large Inuit community. I don't think changing the name back to the Eskimos is going to create a surge of ticket or merch sales. If Ottawa can get a nice crowd with a dumb name like Redblacks then I don't see why Edmonton should focus on a name change. Focus on putting a fun outing that can draw casuals and non football fans to the stadium.
