  1. No it isnt. Brown plays on the best team in the league and his big game was against the worst team in the league. Many players put in that position would also show well. He looked very mediocre / subpar when playing against a 3-6 Calgary team. It's a case of some people having blue tinted glasses. Yourself included.
  2. Not for Edmonton, Ottawa, and Hamilton. They are that bad that unless you bring a superstar game changing QB they wouldn't be much further ahead. Case in point look at ZC in Saskatchewan. You keep forgetting Dru Brown gameplay experience is with the best team in the league, I'm sure Tre Ford, Dustin Crum, Taylor Powell all would look light years better playing at QB for the Bombers. Watch the game yesterday, he had time in the pocket to make throws, his receivers were not dropping balls, he had a great running back helping him out. The dude just looked like a young player who isn't ready yet. Which is normal and is part of the growing pains of gaining experience. But to suggest he goes to Edmonton and instantly makes them better then what they are now with Tre Ford is silly.
  3. Largely disagree, all of those teams have terrible receivers, mediocre o-lines and a complete lack of a running game mostly because of the first two issues. This isn't like the dying days of the Matt Nichols time with the Bombers where everything was in place and only the QB was holding the team back.
  4. 3DownNation believes its Betts
  5. And that is exactly my point, Dru Brown playing behind a great team has him doing well. Dru Brown playing behind a terrible team.... odds are unlikely.
  6. Do you think he starting for Edmonton, Hamilton and Ottawa that his play would make any difference to the current situation that t hose teams have? Maybe in Saskatchewan because they have some talent at receiver and I do think they have decent rbs. I'm not saying that they wouldn't pay him to start... I don't see him succeeding with any of those teams unless they drastically change the look of what they currently have.
  7. I don't think that's a good idea. Brown wasn't terrible he still showed way more then a guy like Crum. He just looked like a guy making his 2nd ever start and still has much more room to grow. He may want to start on another team next year but I don't think he's ready nor does he have the physical tools to survive an onslaught. When Mike Reilly started he was a big dude and had a cannon arm, so he can on his own make things happen. I don't see that in Brown.
  8. That was extremely bad, he had no guys near him and the ball was right between the numbers.
  9. You can't blame wind, Buck Pierce, ZC, Prukop , whatever else with the times Dru locked in on his first read and telegraphing his throws. It looked to me that he was over thinking tonight rather then just trusting his instincts like he did last week against Edmonton. He wasn't Crum level bad but he definitely looked the same way as he did in pre season when he struggled to make routine throws. I'm not sure if I heard right on the broadcast as I had the volume on low for parts of the game, but did they quote Brown saying that he will follow Zach's advice on where to go to next season to start? I'm hoping that I completely misheard that because if that was indeed what was said then clearly Brown needs to get his head back into the game and needs to check that ego because one game doesn't make a guy a desired free agent. If that was not what was said then disregard this last sentence.
  10. Paging JuranBoldenRules.... Dru Brown looked like how he did in the pre season this year, very tenative and he was extremely lucky that he had 2 sure fire ints dropped and could of had another ball easily picked off. The guy is a work in process but had a terrible outing tonight, I wouldn't blame Buck or the o-line for his telegraphed throws. That being said... Dakota Prukop WTF are you doing out there tonight? Seriously this wasn't a high pressure game and these mistakes could of killed us. Tonight was just weird all around... Brady is dominating and we get into the red zone and don't even try to hand it off to him? The refs were all over the place, some ticky tacky calls and some blatant big time calls completely missed. Maier's first long bomb in the game clearly showed Jeffcoat being manhandled and held and yet no call? Wilson and Nichols were amazing all night long, Houston makes two great plasy but gets burned on three other plays for big time gains for Calgary. People dump on McCrae for his mediocre returns... on offense however the dude is lightning and great. Calgary drops a sure fire TD, Maier under throws many guys, Michel over acts on his one big catch despite being invisible for the whole game, just all around awful performance by them also. This was ugly, hopefully this is a one off.
  11. 1 - Brady 2 - Kyrie Wilson was amazing same with Nichols. 3 - D line was surprisingly good despite not getting much in the way of sacks. HH - Castillo Lots of people will say Houston... the pick 6 was amazing and without that we would of lost. HOWEVER the dude was burned on at least 3 long bombs... another jekyl and hyde performance by the guy. Most annoying - The constant talk about the 25 year anniversary of the Grey Cup game... they missed out on lots of big plays and why would they keep talking about it and showing the kick with only a few minutes left in a tight game? That was bad.
  12. Prukop can pass, his arm isn't an issue.
  13. LOL fair point! I think he looks more like this guy:
  14. I was saying it in jest... I've only seen him block and the only positive I've heard was that he was a Navy Seal. I don't understand why he's in.
  15. If it was all about doing the right thing and morality then every forest and every lake would have to be searched and that would cost billions of dollars. At some point you have to be fiscally responsible. People would be shocked to find out how many people are missing/kidnapped/murdered around the province every year. I remember going to Cross Lake 5 or so years ago and they were having issues with missing teens and were losing several every month with many of them going missing and commiting suicide and the reserve having no idea because the area is considerably remote and with all the surrounding water bodies can transport anywhere. It is a needle in a haystack with finding anyone if they are in the wilderness.
  16. Navy seal and grit and blocks...
  17. As a political move its a terrible move for him to vocally support it. Had he said that he would put 200 million into health care which 99% of people would be in favor it would of helped him with the swing votes. Instead he tries to satisfy a really small vocal minority which in the end will alienate him from many on the fence PC voters.
  18. I see you have not read the other thread where Noeller said "Now say it with me" and then lectured someone.
  19. Nope accurate representation, the moment he said he would support searching the landfill the majority of NDPers on that site were saying he's blown it and immediately started talking about who can replace him. That would be losing it considering they had never spoken ill of him or even mentioned him being replaced. Lots of upset folks getting over emotional about what he said which indeed is the definition of losing it. Over time they will cool off up until he loses the election and then they will freak out again.
  20. Now say it with me ... "It's not nice to call someone a serial killer based on how they look".
  21. Absolutely hilarious and I had a good laugh at what you wrote here. I took a minute and I'm still debating if I'm now interacting with an incel or just someone who is just very odd. Either way yes it is normal for men to look at women and at times say they are attractive. I'm somewhat certain that physical beauty is still a thing in this world. Either way Chris Streveler is a handsome man and his girlfriend is also very attractive. They make a nice couple and hopefully he brings her back to Winnipeg once ZC hangs it up and Strevolution continues with the Blue Bombers.
  22. I can almost (99%) guarantee that those workers don't see any tips. I remember reading about how several Tim Hortons in Vancouver were in trouble a few years back for hiring foreign workers, paying them below minimum wage, forcing them to use their pay to give the owner money for their workers permits and rent. Basically they took advantage of the foreign worker benefits that companies can use and made them slave labourers. In Canada!! It's insane, I'm in favour of no tipping and places paying a better wage. That being said when the South Park creators bought the real Casa Bonita and eliminated tips and gave everyone a $30 per hour wage the staff complained! https://www.mensjournal.com/news/south-park-creators-casa-bonita-labor-dispute
  23. We also need to point out that he is playing behind the best o line with the best rb and best set of receivers in the league. I'd only get rid of ZC if he gets so banged up that he becomes a liability or a shell of his former self like the last season we had Khari or the last two years of Matt Nichols.
  24. The PCs are laughing as over the last few weeks Wab has damaged his own self saying he will support searching the landfill and his plan with apprenticeships with trades people. The Winnipeg subreddit which is mostly diehard NDP'ers were losing it and are scared now that he has killed his chance and think that he'll get the boot if they lose. It will be an interesting election that's for sure. Sadly for the wrong reasons since every leader is a joke and in the end Manitoba loses no matter who wins.
  25. https://www.insider.com/japanese-man-spends-15000-on-lifelike-dog-costume-2022-5?amp Also look up furries and cloppers on Google. I don't think people with serious mental health issues will be going away any time soon like a fad.
