Does anyone think that taking down the concrete barriers at Portage and Main is a good idea? I've read the comments sections in the Sun and Free Press over the years and it seems that a vast majority of people are against this. Myself I think it's a terrible idea purely because it will kill the businesses underground and the even greater issue is that it will be very dangerous for pedestrians. I don't really see why the mayor thinks that by doing this it will bring the people downtown? I would assume making downtown safer would be a much higher priority to attract the people? Any thoughts?

"niiiiiiiice". IMO a crime is a crime , their is a reason why police have cold case sections.... just because time has passed it doesn't mean justice shouldn't be served. Also just because a teacher is hot... or a man is rich... shouldn't make a difference in how someone is punished... Anyone getting raped... never the less when they are a child.... that's horrendous and the criminal should be punished at the fullest. How about instead of jail time they cut off Roman's polish sausage?

The Kodi streams seem to be pretty hit and miss last year... some games it was perfect 720p goodness. Other times I resorted to streaming sites which are the poops ...

I see Pavs going to a team who are down a goalie (injury) and desperate to have a veteran starter for the play off chase. Stuart would be an easy trade to make.... but I don't see the team giving him up.

Definitely Dressler! The only reason is because it would break Rider fans hearts to see him tear it up and lead the league in receiving while wearing Blue and Gold. To me it would be the equivalent had Stegall left us for them. The sheer heart break would be massive. Imagine if Dressler ends up playing 3 - 4 seasons with us and then retires as a Bomber... it would be great!

I never once mentioned the industry being impacted. Stop twisting stories. I said the highest percent chance of troubles arising would be at the bars because of the drunk factor. I pretty much agreed with your point for the most part and yet you still need to twist and disagree? It's weird.

I wouldn't compare Kelly to Jones, Jones has a proven winning system while Kelly had his guys running into each other and getting confused. Personality wise yes both are arrogant and will not be liked by the players , media or fans.

Ummm no most bars do not have security posted outside of the bathroom stalls. Most decent fast food places do have people doing bathroom cleaning on a more frequent basis. I'm not saying rampant rape is currently happening or will happen down the road. But don't skew the truth just to prove your point. If you are trying to ignore common sense and say that men do not behave any different or don't generate some liquid courage when they are tanked then that is some weird thoughts you have. If you are suggesting that men don't hit on women at the bar and at times way more creepy/aggressive as compared to when men hit on women in a non drinking environment.... then once again the world you live in is a weird place. As for missing the media coverage? What about the girl in Florida? Also it's fairly uncommon for men to rape other men in the toilet... so I can't imagine their being much media coverage on that?

I have never seen security in a bathroom at a bar. I have only seen the guy holding all the cheap cologne and crap pumping up my confidence and telling me I can get all the sweet.... love.... from the girls at the bar that night lol. It definitely could be an issue , drunk men who are lonely tend to do stupid things. Most normal establishments I'm sure it would be fine. Some other places.... (i.e. Bar in La Broquerie where I saw Honkey Tonk Man and a tonne of drunk locals) that could be very dangerous. I completely will disagree that bars would be the least issue because I'd say more trouble occurs at a bars bathroom compared to the toilet at your local Tim Hortons!

I can see lots of issues at bars where alcohol escalates situations. The same goes if they make a uni sex bathroom.... drunk guys would definitely be idiots towards the ladies... it's a given. But I can't see if a Trans goes into McDonalds and a random dad sees them and then beats the crap out of them. I'm pretty sure 99% of the population doesn't want to get a record just to prove a point. What I see happening is the same as what already happens where people will be rude and vocally chastise them. I remember at a wedding when a guy who had boobs but still looked like a man went into the womens washroom.... he came out bawling because the ladies told him to GTFO. Society isn't going to change they will always have a large amount of people who will not accept them. Now if the idea is to build a singular unisex bathroom on top of already having a male and female washroom then (so pretty much like the episode of South Park that makes fun of this) then I'm pretty sure it'll be peaceful and we won't have UFC brawls in these stand alones toilets.
