  1. I call your Dinwiddie and raise with a Michael Bishop and Jarious Jackson. I forget which guy had a 12 game winning streak? Dinwiddie or Bishop? Are you saying that Michael Bishop was a good QB? Where did I say he was a good qb? Was he a better qb then Dinwiddie, abso-f'ning-lutely. Jacquie made the mistake of trying to say Bishop/Jackson were subpar qbs in comparison to Dinwiddie when in fact both of those guys did a lot more in the CFL then he did. In the grand scheme of things Bishop was a guy all athelete no brains , but hey at least he had an arm, was durable, and could at least run a bit. Buck at this point is no brains no arm and no durability.... comparing Buck of current to Bishop of the past, clearly Bishop level of talent far exceeds Buck. Hell Dinwiddie of the past and probably present would be better then current Buck. Richie Williams from 2009 is light years better then Buck of current... Buck is the suck.... And wowza I can't believe how people derail an original statement and go crazy about Bishop? I simply said Hall seems to have a weak arm because when he was throwing down field the ball was well behind the receiver and that he didn't have enough zip on the throws. Perhaps it was poor timing, wrong route running , simple miscommunications? I sure hope it's one of those 3, because if he has a noodle arm then he wont last.
  2. So Bishop is a moron yet Buck who was in the exact same situation gets a pass?
  3. The guy must have something , people froth over anyone that Buono brings in so if anyone thinks Elliott is a bum then why did Buono take him when they could of signed a number of other guys?
  4. And this is why it's fantastic that he gets the Start and the play time..... how can we evaluate him (and Goltz) if the club wastes time with Pierce taking the snaps.
  5. people complained non stop about Kharis arm strength too so what comparison are you trying to make? I don't buy that receivers have to wait for passes because the qbs don't have the arm to get it down field, I would suggest that it's simply a missed throw. Ray doesn't have a really strong arm either but he's so accurate he can drop a ball with tremendous accuracy anywhere on the field. I actually think that Hall gets the idea of giving receivers a chance to make a play on a ball, just needs some more experience with these guys. Ricky has under rated arm strength, those deep balls to the corner of the end zone are beautiful and not easy to make. Khari had a good arm before being completely crippled.... afterwards it was a sad sad sight.
  6. Just to add to the last point..... I'm beginning to think Elliott and his red zone interceptions may have been a product of him making audibles on the field and over ruling Crowton/LaPolices very conservative play calls and rather then dumping the ball on poorly executed screen passes... he tossed them in the end zone in hopes that his receivers would make a play on the ball. I do remember reading about him yelling at Crowton because in that close BC game when they were marching down the field , on 2nd and 9 they wanted yet another screen pass (which had not worked all season long) and to set up a field goal rather then going for the first down. It would make sense since they fired him for "not listening" and it was very bizarre that most of his picks came with deep balls to the end zone. I'm thinking that on those plays he went to the guy that he wasn't suppose to and that is why the coaches got mad at him. Just a random conspiracy theory that's in my head.

  8. it's a conspiracy to think that Mack is responsible for Crowton despite everyone being involved saying that was not the case. Mack told Lapo to get an OC in that is true, everyone agrees that Lapo hired Crowton so why is it that Mack would be so attached to Crowton that he forced Burke to keep him? Some of you are so focussed on trying to pin every single thing directly to Mack it's gotten ridiculous. Mack being responsible for Crowton is so much more indirect. It stems to who he put in at head coach not Mack and Crowton being BFFs. I think the problem is that the fans are so blinded by hate that they can't actually step back and read the facts. It's easier to whine and cry. Why would Mack can Crowton, after LaPolice who was a genius offense guy before starting with us fell apart and was fired, the offense came to life and they played not so bad with Crowton in control. They moved in a positive direction so why would Mack or Burke want him gone. At the end of last year we all assumed LaPolice & Buck were the reasons the offense stunk at the beginning. The only red flag we had last season near the end was reports of Elliott being pissed because of the play calls. Most people assumed that he was being a prima donna and ignored it. I think people only really started worrying about Crowton after first cutting Elliott and then that horrible pre season we had. We gave Crowton the benefit of the doubt and clearly him and Burke failed us. I don't think anything Mack did was really wrong, looking back clearly he shouldn't of done a few things. But at the time it did make sense to keep Crowton for this season.
  9. Based on both forums , every comment on the free press , phone calls to Bob Irving from the fans, overall talk around my work... literally everyone aside yourself and maybe 3 other people from this board want Buck gone IMMEDIATELY. Stop trolling.... and I don't think people really want Buck to get hurt... it's just unfortunate that Burke has been such a **** coach that he keeps that cancer around the team. So the only way Buck can go is if he gets hurt... which he will once any team blitzes him. Fear not Unknown Poster, next season your hero Buck will be nice and available for Ottawa and then he can flourish in the league and you can prove us all wrong with how great he is after he leads Ottawa to a winning season! I look forward to this!
  10. Dinwiddie?? And clearly the obvious other point would be the massive CFL field.... I'm concerned about Hall because several of his deep balls were severely underthrown..... guys like Burris/Durant/Calvillo/Reilly when they attack deep that ball gets to the receiver in a hurry... usually when it's missed it is because they tossed it to hard.... while with Hall (and Pierce) it always seems like the receiver is 5 yards ahead of the ball as it skips on the dirt. Watch that last Edmonton game... Reilly was doing EXACTLY what Khari used to do by lobbing a missile and giving the receiver a chance to make the play. With Hall/Pierce the receiver literally has to stop and run back 5 yards and hope that the defender doesn't beat him to the ball.
  11. Lol people are very testy on here , it's almost as bad as during the Kelly years where people over exaggerate or derail threads or go on wild tangents for no reason at all... All I was suggesting was that Hall wasn't the worst qb out on the field this last week. While I am critical of his throwing arm and still have my doubts on it (looks weak) looking back his play was better then some well established stars in the league. People around here (ISO / UNKNOWN POSTER / CURT HENNIG FROM HIS GRAVE ) made it seem like Hall was a complete waste of skin and that Goltz was equally as terrible... when in fact they weren't that bad considering they have barely any on the field CFL experience. The point of this thread was to show Hall actually had decent numbers and their were much worst qbs this week.
  12. Signing anyone at this point is better then sitting on our hands , I'd rather a mediocre Bo Smith be on the field then having the same old secondary just running through the basics and giving a real lack of effort week in and week out. At least this shows that jobs will be on the line and it may light a fire under some of the guys asses. The team still needs a 4th qb and definite OL help pronto. As for safety... maybe Ian Logan gets a call?
  13. Buck was bad last year and mediocre the year before.... Buck also had healthy receivers this season and could not perform..... Unknown poster is just trolling because no one normal would back buck this much. Just stirring the pot.
  14. I thought for most coordinator jobs that the money is not guaranteed?
  15. Lulay had the 3 ints.... Max Hall had 2.
  16. So you don't think Max Hall having similar and also better stats then Durant and Lulay isn't something to take note of? Same goes with comparing him with another qb who was playing his first CFL game ever?
  17. Patience .... it's almost a given that both are gone at the end of the season.
  18. And I stopped reading right there.... a hold over... so 1 week is a hold over... also no mentioning that Mack told Lapolice YOU NEED A DEDICATED OC... Lapo SELECTED Crowton.. it was Lapo's guy. All that other stuff is nonsense and sounds like a lot of BS... almost Nate like in just throwing crap out and hoping to be right about something.
  19. 18/30 241 yards 1 td - 2 int 18/32 250 yards 2 td - 0 int 12/30 147 yards 0 td - 2 int 16/28 223 yards 1 td - 3 int 4 qbs who played this week.... which one had the best completion % and nearly the most yards..... He did way more then someone else making his CFL debut despite that guy being in the league for 3 years and backing up a legend that he could of learned lots from.... He had better stats then an all star QB with a fantastic o line and great rb... Almost had as good as stats as a guy in Saskatchewan who is playing behind a way better o line with much better talent at receiver..... Perhaps Max didn't do as bad as some people made him out to be.....even with the noodle arm he still managed to top Lulay, Durant , Niesomethingwander.....
  20. No slack for Burke... the guy looks lost and way over his head... the OC wasn't the reason for him doing this. If he can't manage a team with both the offense and defense then he should stick to being a coordinator.
  21. Long story short.... more then 50% of the fans are actually hoping that Buck goes down with an injury so that we can move forward with someone else. That is a very sad but truthful statement. I don't want to wish pain for anyone, but man would it benefit the club with Buck out of the picture.
  22. Kavis Reed just got an extension literally a month ago....
  23. The funny thing was that Ricky Ray was doing this all night long... I think he was 17/17 at one point .... but he was doing his same old dink and dunk passes... the difference was Edmonton could not tackle for shite and the YAC that Owens and Durie were getting really hurt the Eskimos. Also lots of ill timed penalties from both clubs .... the games score made it seem a bit closer then what it was...
  24. So any chance of Elliott coming back next season?
