Nieswander has a decent arm and looked good out there. Hall definitely has a weak arm and the whole likes to float the ball like Ricky ray isn't a good excuse.

That game tonight was much closer then it should of been.... the difference in goaltending really showed tonight. While Lack did let in a softy or two..... he robbed us of 3 goals easily. Pavs on the other hand.... making the flashy saves leaving him out of place and luckily the defense bailed him out when he did that late in the 3rd. He wasn't terrible by any means... but he wasn't rock solid either. I really don't understand why Montoya doesn't get more games? The numbers don't lie.... Worst defenseman on the team this season was Clitsome by a mile.... the only guy I see really struggling now with Maurice would be Ladd... the guy is invisible , is scared to take the puck to the net (hence the slapshots from a mile away despite having a clean lane to the net) and he just doesn't seem to be anywhere in the offensive zone. The guys who have stepped up and who you notice playing lately have been Schiefle , Setoguchi and Little.....

If Montreal were to sign him then Nieswander would be a very solid guy to go after.

Well *if* they sign Burris it would be the first time since like 2009 that they signed a qb with any sort of cfl success. Mack failed bigtime at doing that. Same goes for having a cfl coordinator with experience.... If we had any sort of qbing and offense Mack and Burke / Lapo would still be here

No they won't, Montreal has 3 guys who started and had success.. Edmonton isn't paying Reilly to sit on the bench. Nichols aside from injuries had looked good. I doubt they sign him. It'll either be Winnipeg , BC or back with the Riders.

I can't wait until 17 jumps on the bandwagon and starts frothing from his mouth about how awesome Hank is!

Good trade in my books, we need a few vets on this team. This team was really young during Mack's time and with poor coaching it was really double trouble. With Banks at least they have a guy that doesn't require his hand being held and he can go out and play.

That should clear up salary in order for us to sign Willy for 400 000 dolla

Lets see what happens *if* Collaros starts off cold and then LeFevour gets some playing time.... wouldn't it be hilarious if the Zach-Attack was put on hold and didn't get his incentive bonuses because LeFevour and Masoli were getting more reps ...

The salary cap is almost 5 million, not 500,000. Why is there this constant notion on Bomber message boards that the Bombers can not afford more than one good player? I don't understand. Because we have really dumb fans...

I also wonder how much our OL factored into this decision. Our offense doesn't have a pocket, it has a killing floor. On the bright side, as we get our OL issues sorted out, it will be Burris taking that punishment, instead of some prized youngster like Mike Reilly who is the Future of the Franchise. I dunno I think Burris can make an o-line look better than they are, one of the things he does do well is avoid pressure in the pocket and buy time. Think of how many times you remember thinking that the Bombers should have had Burris sacked in the pocket but he managed to slip away... That's his real strength as a qb, forget the arm, he's an elusive player, that's what lets him put up the numbers he does. And so begins the jumping on the Burris bandwagon by 17.... I never thought that I would see this day

This is exactly how I feel. It sucks that we didn't get him but I'm way happier with our options that are left over. I don't care what 17 says Burris is a huge improvement over anyone we have had recently and he is durable and can provide some stability for the next two years as this club tries to get out of the gutter. Willy is also a nice option to go with also and has as much upside as Collaros. Its not the end of the world. Heck you can spin negatives on Collaros with his throwing mechanics and him being a fast starter and slow finisher. As long as we dump Boltus and get Willy or Burris then this will be good.
