We got spanked last week when he played our starters while the Argos played their rookies and TCF. If anything this shows this team lacks depth big time and essentially if we encounter the injury bug we can expect Burke to say we will get smoked during the reg season? in years past when we had ding dongs playing 3rd stringer in pre season games , those guys could at least get a few points on the board. This year we scored 0 majors in 2 pre season games.... and tonight we played against last years leagues worst defense who this year is full of rookies and who are going under a full rebuild. No way to spin this pre season to anything but a negative out look. The only bright spots were punters and a few receivers and that is it. Very scary stuff!!

So for those who are interested I pulled the stats off of TSN Goltz was 12 - 21 101 yards 2 ints longest pass - 20 Clement was 4 -11 21 yards 3 ints longest pass - 6 Hall was 2 - 5 12 yards 1 int longest pass - 7 Poblah was 1 - 1 9 yards longest pass - 9 Sadly Kito Poblah moved the ball more then the other 2 guys!! Burris was 13 - 17 198 yards 0 ints 2 tds longest pass - 58 LeFevour was 7-10 80 yards 0 ints 0 tds longest pass - 27 Leading receivers were Doug Pierce 4 rec 30 yards Brett Carter 3 rec 18 yards Hamilton had a bunch of guys with a few receptions Rushing stats Chris Garrett 7 rush - 16 yards - 2.29 avg Carl Volny 2 rush - 20 yards - 10 avg Anthong Woodson 3 rush - negative 3 yards - negative 1 average Lindsey Lamar 4 rush - 24 yards - 6 avg Only positives from looking strictly at the stats is Renaud and Pavalapoplolouslavalolpos both had solid punting stats, we didnt' allow that many rushing yards and we didn't attempt 1 field goal even!!

Clearly something is not right with this club. I don't give a crap if Burke pre-warned everyone that we were going to get hammered by Hamilton .... I've never seen a winning team with an attitude and with such a poor pre season performance in this league. The common sense alarms are ringing constantly .... we cut experienced talented players and bring in nobodies.... we keep a brittle over the hill QB despite EVERY ONE else saying it's a very bad move (from fan to sports analyst)....... We can't even score 1 single TD in pre season when other teams are supposedly playing their rookies. The club has been anemic outside of the defense for the last 3 years and instead of adding pieces to the puzzle we cut guys like Elliott and expect rookies to come in and magically light it up. Despite being a Mack-fan , I think his time is running out very fast. Same goes with Burke who has shown nothing in his time here as a HC aside from some questionable media quotes and lots of questionable coaching decisions. I think it even runs even deeper with bizarre decisions such as extending Burke before he actually proved that he could coach in this league. While it's no foregone conclusion that this time will definitely lose out and get steamrolled each game.... I'm pretty sure this club will struggle to match how many wins they had last season. The only hope and prayer they have is that Max Hall quickly picks up the game and becomes the next Gem of a QB. That's a pretty long shot. I think if they are something poor like 1 - 7 that the club will make the panic move and trade for Glenn or sign a Jyles/McPherson. It's not moves that I want them to make but I can't see Mack standing strong if we are just getting pummeled more then Gianna Micheals week in and week out!! So I'll say at the 8 game marker the team panics and makes a move. Anyone else think they'll do the same, if so will they do it sooner or later or maybe after the season clean house?

I as well forgot about the game..... glad I did. Was Doug Brown freaking out post game? So I wonder how long before McPherson or Jyles gets a call or how long before Burke panics and we trade a 1st rounder for Glenn?

He looked huge and really sick in Burt Wonderstone, goes to show that managing your health is very important as you age.

It really is to bad that Nichols and Tate can't stay healthy.... the league needs solid QB's and they seem to have issues staying healthy.

I don't see what's wrong with doing this.... good way to evaluate the new talent. The reason you don't see this happening so much is because most teams are not loaded with rookies and actually have vets and vet depths... Now if we want to look at it through conspiracy goggles.... maybe Burke is doing this to give an excuse and to prevent the media for blasting him after 2 huge blowout exhibition losts where we couldn't put any points on the board.

They should bring back the brass bonanza!

Been cut by two teams, yet Mack gets flack from Etienne who still is on the same team and looking to play a more large part this year.

No excuses on not being able to trade him for something... No one is ever going to trade with us because they know we'll drop them in an instant. It would be nice if this team could acquire known talent instead of continually losing it.

If I was a smart coach I wouldn't of let myself get into this situation. A smart coach would of axed Buck and kept Elliott and then have an open competition and hopefully Hall or Goltz steps up and takes the job.

I have no problem with the team getting rid of Hefney.... what I don't like is the fact that they couldn't trade him for anything??? How in the world can they not get anything not even a late pick at least for him. At least that way we can dictate where he goes to so he isn't playing for Toronto which more then likely what will happen?? How can they make a rash decision cutting him but don't have the cahjones to cut Pierce who clearly is on a huge decline. The odds of this blowing up in our face is much higher then it working out in the end.....
