  1. I think McCrae is above average and isn't like the many small receivers we had brought in over the year (Lankford, Nelson, McKnight). Dude has a lot of speed and I'd like to see him back and I can see him replacing Demski if we lose him.
  2. Losing Schoen will be a larger impact then losing Demski. I like Demski and when he's on he can dominate a game... I just find that sometimes he disappears.
  3. He could do some serious damage with the 49ers if Purdy were to miss some of the next season....
  4. If anyone wants a good laugh, Jim Cornette has several videos talking about the many lies of Hulk Hogan which are hilarious. I never realized the Hulkster is either suffering from dementia or has always been a chronic liar.
  5. So had Hull beat his wife to death in which he nearly did in the quote I posted.. then your opinion would change? What a weird thing that you would put your shield on? I do find it odd that people who were close to him called him a monster and yet someone like yourself who has never met the guy thinks he is a quality individual with flaws? How does that make sense?
  6. I'll take Jake Wieinke to replace Ellingson at the same or lower price please and thank you.
  7. What a terrible problem we have! Potentially losing our starter center and only have 2 great guys to fight over replacing him.
  8. I have a feeling that the Riders grab Caleb Evans and then watch the fans pretend like it's the steal of free agency.
  9. Watch Walters bring back Demski and then also Harris/Evans for back up and the Riders absolutely lose it.
  10. I cannot rationalize Bobby Hull being a good guy purely because he helped bring the Jets and NHL to town. I'm wired differently in that I can never give anyone a pass for beating and apparently nearly killing a woman he supposedly loved and even worse the mother of his children. I cringe for the day when OJ Simpson dies and when you rationalize what he did (allegedly) because he was a great football player and how it's only human nature to be jealous and that because he was on drugs it wasn't his fault.
  11. I'm not sure why anyone would make excuses or try to use alcholism as an excuse for the guys life time of terrible behaviour. If anything I'd say Bobby Hull suffered from extreme forms of narcissism similar to a Peter Nygard where he would think that he is invincible and can do anything because he is above everyone else. If Bobby Hull was a regular 9-5 worker he would of been tossed into jail and nobody would revere him. His great hockey play is what gives him a minor pass for some people who don't want to think of their idol as being a scum bag. Hull - A+ hockey player, F level human being. RIP to his hockey legacy but I have zero respect for the guy as a human being and won't shed a tear for him at all.
  12. So everyone is suppose to ignore the fact that he had zero quality on his o-line and never addressed it for the whole season.
  13. Will security be able to do anything if a problem occurs. I don't think a stern "Please don't do this" will do anything if a drunk/drugged person is on the bus harassing people.
  14. Today I learned that if you have a cart full of toys and walk out of Toys'R'Us , security will do nothing at all. I also learned that toys at Toys'R'Us are insanely expensive and it's almost at a point that it makes sense to just walk out with not paying. $60 dollars for a cheap plastic car, $40 for a plush, $130 for a Batmobile!!!
  15. Is this a bad time to tell that in Winnipeg when VIP's are visiting that they also have snipers lined up. This isn't anything new.
  16. I have not tried Colin's house but will add that to the list thank you for the recommendation. I have gone to Drifters in Lac Du Bonnet and from the outside it doesn't look nice but the inside looks new and the food was really good. The only other restaurant in that area of Manitoba that I've gone multiple time is the Hillside Beach eatery (near Grand Beach), the pizza is ridiculously good on a nice hot summer day. Well worth the travel and visit.
  17. Toronto will find a way to sign him
  18. Tip... frozen fries in a deep fryer is real good or an air fryer does a decent job of replicating it. Frozen fries on a cookie sheet in a regular oven = sad panda.
  19. Bistro fries... probably because I enjoy the dip with the sweet chili sauce? I didn't realize they were costco fries I thought they were home made? Desserts at Roxies are also top notch, our usual routine involves buying a few squares of whatever and taking them home. Then going to upper crust bakery (2 minutes away) getting cinammon buns and the apple cinammon bread and whatever else and taking that home. All really good stuff.
  20. And this is my point, these restaurants are far better options then going to McDonalds. At Roxy's I've never been able to eat the full meal in one sitting. I like getting the pulled pork + jalapeno sandwich with the bistro fries and that alone I can usually make it into 2 - 3 meals which makes the price even more attractive.
  21. Not to ruin everyones fun on here.... any chance the Riders throw money at Strev?
  22. So does this mean Dane Evans in Saskatchewan then?
  23. I never said they would disappear completely, I said that they will have trouble staying in business as the older crowd is what currently supports them and as the current youth grows older they won't be eating at a "Perkins" or "Sals" where they serve super mediocre food. To entertain you I'll show you where we go (we live in NK/T-Cona) Instead of Perkins/Sals we go to Jonseys in East St Paul or Roxy's in Selkirk Instead of McDonalds we go to Fatburger Instead of Taco Bell/Taco Time we go to BNC Taquiera and Burrito Splendido Instead of Tim Hortons we go to Grand Donuts Our kids enjoy going to Phuong Nam, Sushi (anywhere), older kid likes Magic Thailand, Shagun Sweets (East Indian) , Ramallah , Bubble Tea, etc... When I'm going for food without the kids with co workers or my wife then the options really open up and I can list 100 restaurants that are superior. At no point in my life when I've been out with other adults have I ever heard anyone say "Lets go to Sals for some cole slaw and hamburgers!". The options people have these days as compared to say when I was a kid in the late 80's is significantly larger and nowdays we have far more access to many varieties of different foods from different cultures. I don't understand the misconception that every non-chain restaurant is super expensive, in fact I find that many of the places we go are cheaper and also offer better quality. Long gone are the days where you can go to a crappy place like McDonalds and pay only half as much as anywhere else. To the person who brought up tide pods for whatever reason or the other grumpy old people , you guys remind me of this clip:
