Winnipeg is a dump and Edmonton is a dump, either way the guy could be classy and talk about how he enjoyed the passion from the fans and not take a shot at the city. -

Is it me or does the TSN guys on TV always fixate on Hughes and make it seem like he's a far bigger deal then what he is? -

Does Chris Jones last the season? -
Famous Dave's from my experiences has degraded both in quality and quantity over the last three or so years. We've found the place to also be really quiet with only a few tables with people and the service has been really sub par. It is good however for catering, we've used them a few times for the kids birthday parties and it's always been a hit. I wonder if Bigg Smoak were to go closer to downtown that it could fill the void of Lovey's closing up shop? Back in the day Lovey's was almost always busy and had a tonne of people getting take out also. Either way the city needs more places for Brisket and Pulled Pork!

I wonder if the owner will be more considerate on rental prices or if he'll try to gouge like he did when COVID started. I'm not sure if that would be the best location considering Famous Dave is only a few minutes away.

I am not aware of any Thai , Vietnamese, Jamaican, Greek, Mexican, Italian, Shawarma places in T-Cona area. The Asian options and Sushi are also severely limited. Meanwhile on the other side of town you have numerous options for those types of food. I lived off of Fermor and St Anne's... that area is a special area that should be mocked more then T-Cona... the characters that would walk over from the Beliveau appartments in that area felt like I was living in an episode of Trailer Park Boys. Fortunately a new Jamaican place is "suppose" to open up near Munroe same with an Ethopian restaurant so slowly this area of town is getting more options.

I cannot tell you how many times I've driven by the Wendy's on Plessis and have seen the drive thru wrapped around with cars going back to Regent. And this is even during odd hour times like 10 pm at night. The area is still heavily into burgers and french fries. The whole side of town has some options but it's very limited... it's sad that the fancy Italian place is considered the Olive Garden lol, the top Vietnamese restaurant is a donut store, Henderson Hwy has basically nothing but fried chicken places etc.... Compared to when I'm at work (Polo Park and Kenaston area) in which they have multiple options for each style of cuisine.

Perkins was replaced by R n R which is basically the same as Perkins (frozen white people food heated up). My Mom likes it... it seemed to be full of a lot of seniors both times that I went with her. I'm assuming the reason that this area is basically all greasy hamburger / chicken places is because of the clientele in Elmood/T-Cona are not the type that eats out side of comfort food. I was at KP yesterday in the food court for about a half an hour and the placed was packed and each place had a consistent line of 5 people or so... with exception of the newer African place which didn't get a single customer at all.

Living in the same area.... that area of town desperately needs less fast food, greasy spoon, or generic white people food (i.e. Perkins/Applebees/Boston Pizza) restaurants and sure can use a Thai, Greek, or Italian restaurant. Fixed that for you Rae's is really good but have really over priced themselves and they removed the kids menu when ownership changed. The last time I went they had a plate of Yam Fries as a daily special and it was $14 dollars... that's insane.

So I should start on the cocaine then?

Do they have some kind of study or research in which they spoke with non CFL fans in Canada who said "I would only watch if it were 4 downs" Because this sounds like a non existent issue? I know from my circle of friends/acquaintances is that the reason they don't watch CFL is because they don't like football at all OR they feel that the quality of football is significantly lower then the NFL and/or they only have time to follow one league. I've never had a conversation with anyone saying "I sure wish CFL was 4 downs". -
Wendys and A & W. The Popeye sandwiches are really big and I've had nothing but consistent and good food from them. The location on Henderson is always busy and always clean and fast. KFC on the other hand... dear lord... just terrible. The restaurants are also always in just terrible shape both visually out dated and dirty as h-e-double-hockey-sticks. The locations on Lakewood, Portage, Henderson are always absolutely filthy. The drinks also taste weird , I'm guessing because of dirty machines.

You don't understand the complaints of having prices that have skyrocketed all while the food quality is barely passable? McDonalds used to be good for garbage food at a super low price... nowdays it's cheaper for us as a family to go to Wendy and it tastes way better because they use a much higher quality of ingredients. McDonalds is so bad that even 7-11 has surpassed it in quality for chicken/fries and price. I also can't think of any time in the last 20 years where someone has said "Mmmm McDonalds has the best burgers in town". It's usually people saying "Why did I get McDonalds I feel sick, uggggggh".
-
Are the bones good? The last times I went to the Bay it looked like the place was falling apart.
-
Bring back low prices.... McDonalds is charging a premium price for absolutely god awful food. Everything on the menu should be slashed in half for the price.

There are awful human beings out there...
