The thing was that he did have protection, BC didn't bring much heat on Nichols at all. Nichols seemed to have thrown better then his previous starts, but yikes they have absolutely zero deep ball threat what so ever.

Ottawa likes to shoot themselves in the foot... earlier in the game they had two drives killed by terrible drops from the receivers. The one time Nichols goes somewhat deep and Harris drops an easy one. Later on Nichols looks absolutely foolish on the sack which killed the drive and the interception either slipped his hand or the arm strength just plain sucks and he throws a lame duck. Also LaPo with the most obvious gameplan. I'm beginning to think that Ottawa may be better off with Jennings throwing bombs in hopes that at least 1/3 of them are completed because Nichols and the rest of company are just so mediocre.

Is Johnny Augustine injured? I thought he showed well last season.

But how brain dead can one be to choose an injury prone QB on a complete down slide of his career over a guy who is young , healthy, and has a way higher upside and at that moment was vastly superior to the old injured QB. I can't imagine any CFL expert would ever choose to dump Arbuckle for Nichols.

A thing to note from listening to Irving last week... he went out of his way to mention how Bailey is a very emotional guy and how the team ribs him and how he's very animated. I usually associate those type of players with really high highs and really low lows if that makes any sense.

I think I would cut Bray after that game... he's done this in the past as well where he absolutely stinks up the joint. Adams did have time but mentally made some bad choices.

How undisciplined was Montreal tonight, jeeze numerous times where mentally they made terrible decisions that lead to penalties and points for Calgary. Davis Sanchez was dead on with his assessment on Montreal in saying that winning teams don't take mindless penalties and how he shitted all over VAJ for sucking. Vernon Adams is a guy who hucks and chucks and hopes his receivers makes the plays. How many times did he throw balls into double or triple coverage? Also why did Montreal stop putting the heat on Maier? Jeeze they went soft and gave the guy his confidence back with the time in the pocket and he did well. Calgary just played disciplined football and didn't blow me away with anything they did. You would accept losing your job because of a consequence of your action? It's absolutely ridiculous that this guy gets fired, jeeze more then half of Hollywood would be fired for past actions which would be far worse then what Mike Richards said.

Did I screw it up... I thought North South was a guy who catches the ball and runs straight up. The opposite of a Keith Stokes who would go side line to side line looking of a hole to break through which at times pays off but other times it results in lost yardage. I'm pretty sure Nelson is told to catch and go straight and take whatever you get without dropping the ball.

Not really... https://www.cfl.ca/players/odell-willis/148766/ He's put up good numbers up until 2018. Over rated in the latter part of his career (similar to Hughes/Lemon) yes.... but he wasn't terrible.

Edwards did not disappear for long stretches of time as Darvin has with us. But both guys were totally different types of receivers so it's not really an apples to apples comparison. Either way Darvin on the field is an improvement.
